I really wanted some. Brought a bunch of purple flowers for only $10. This was exactly a week ago. I've changed the water every second day, and these flowers are no flourishing - no dead bits. Awesome value for money with a friendly, social vendor. He is Greek. A lovely place, and the flowers are always well displayed too.

I've been coming here for years, since school days 15 years ago, graduation ceremonies and more. The pre-made bouquets were fresh and beautiful however I was looking to create a custom bouquet with pink lilies, snapdragon and kale. Would definitely recommend local city folks to visit :)

Not the Mother of all florists, but close!…read more I usually walk in and ask for a fresh bouquet, on the spot: who it is for, the occasion, the budget, a colour restriction if there is one and off the florist goes. The flowers are of good quality, they give you recommendations to take care of them, the bouquets are well-made and always with enough greenery in it so that if you are on an empty wallet - I know I usually am - you don't show up with a tiny ridiculous thing. The selection of flowers and accessories has nothing to envy to larger florists. My favourite thing about this shop is that it is organized, but stays alive and messy: you can see the staff love flowers and a lush, beautiful display of colours. The aroma of fresh flowers and the humidity in the air just put you at peace. Walk in even if you don't buy, you'll see for yourself!

Wait until you smell the place etc etc. If there's one thing I hate it's queuing and I heard there was always a queue, so it took me a while to get off my fat carcass and haul my ass down here. Now, admittedly I'd not really been paying attention when I walked in as I'd been on my phone...... There's a lot of flowers in here....Why's that I wonder? Hang on.....This isn't Gelato Messina. I've walked into the florist 5 doors up. I'm doing the wrong review. Ok, well I've started the review so, I may as well finish it. These guys are my go to for flowers for work and for all family events on the rare occasions I participate in Adult endeavors such as buying flowers for some one. Considering what I know about flowers can be written on the back of a post it note, I always need hand holding when it comes to making my purchase and judging by my Fiancees reaction, I (they) have made a great choice. They are a little pricey but in fairness their stuff stands out. As I said we have also used them for corporate events and people have remarked on the arrangements. While it's no Ice cream parlor, Like I first thought, it is a solid florist that if you're getting something for a loved one, they're going to love it. At least, they always have in my experience. Gifting the flowers from these guys has help give the impression to others that i might be a man of taste when in reality it's all these guys. I just hand over the money and trust their excellent judgement. Wouldn't kill them to have a few ice creams available though..........

Upon first impression, I was disappointed when Peter chatted on the phone for a couple minutes while I was waiting, but afterwards he could not have been nicer to me. His kindness and effort towards my purchase definitely made up for the phone call, and for all I know, it could have been an important one that warranted his attention ASAP. I found the prices to be very reasonable, and much cheaper than purchasing online. He took the time to set up an arrangement for me, and even gave me a generous discount when I purchased a vase with the arrangement. I will definitely be back to Peter's shop, and highly recommend it to anyone in the need of some beautiful flowers. (PS. Still no EFTPOS on the premises, so bring cash or grab some at the ATM at the gas station across the street).

Look to the left of Jaanu and you're in an antique camera store. Filled with original Canons and Kodaks in many different classic models, if you're a collector, definitely come and check out the selection here. I recognized the Rolleiflexes because that's what my photographer dad likes using best. I spotted an old school Polaroid for $80 and was dead set on buying it until the crotchety shop owner told me that the film would set me back $38 for a set of 8 sheets. Bloody rip off! After that disheartening experience, I turned around 180 degrees and found myself in a land of peace and serenity. There were indonesian bags, worldly patchwork bed throws and oil reed infusers. I took one deep breath of something rose or lilac scented and instantly felt more relaxed. I'm still not quite sure what's happening there in Jaanu. It's kinda like my WW2 veteran grandfather and my beachside yoga teacher decided to shack up together. But in some strange way, it almost works. I say "almost" because maybe you won't agree.
