Some offer more in the way of ornamental plants, larger hanging baskets and lawn decorations. Bridge's also supports the local farmers by selling their corn and some other produce for them. We have a squirrel feeder and we try to keep it full at all times so they leave the birds food alone. At the end of the Fall season they allow hubby to come down and pick all the leftover corn from the unsold stalks. I have been slowly cleaning out my flower beds and I love to plant mums here and there for the season. This is the second generation of running this business and they have grown to provide more and more services. They now deliver truckloads of varied mulch or stone at a reasonable price. I like to buy my mums here because they are field grown, they often will come back the next year because they have good strong roots, plus I am then supporting the farmer's and Bridge's. I decorate everything all year long and if you stand still long enough, I will decorate you too, just ask hubby.

He carries the herbs into winter, so they make great gifts around the holidays where I make up my own garden packages for people. I've been a fan of this place for years. Allen and his limited staff put a lot of work into growing nice plants for dirt cheap here. The place can be a bit rough-looking with the empty beds in the front, but look past that for the goldmine. I called George out as…read moreI was losing water from my pond and he saw where the soil was moist and started to check around that area and sure enough he found out where the water was escaping from. Here the liner slip down the side of the pond and the water was escaping there. George put some new crushed stone and new dirt in that area and the pond is good as new. Also George and his crew cleaned my pond and redid the inside where the gravel through years slid down into the center of the pond. He repositioned the stone and I got about 10 more inches for the fish to swim. I just want to say great job done by Ponds by George.

Both the tractor and the trimmer are still going strong and they told me to get in touch if I do encounter problems. My contact there was Tom and he was helpful, courteous and friendly. I found out about them because my contractor uses them to maintain his equipment. A good-to-know for people without access to a truck and trailer, they offer a pickup and delivery service for large equipment like my tractor. The service isn't free but it's certainly convenient.
