Probably one of my fav places for gelato. The service was great, they're very nice and it's a cute spot.

Wifey wanted to get out of the house, but I didn't wanna go driving on that day cause was kinda hot. So we decided to try this gelato place down the street. There's 4 street parking stalls out front on Johnson Dr. The inside is clean & AC was nice on hot days. The girl behind the counter was nice & gave us samples of the gelato that we were curious about. Wifey selected a med cup of dark chocolate and strawberry. I got the med cup with pistachio and coconut. We watched the girl making our cups and noticed she gave more of one flavor than the other in each of our cups. I was a lil disappointed about that. It ended up being 2/3 dark chocolate and 1/3 strawberry in wifey's cup. There was 2/3 pistachio and 1/3 coconut in mine. I like even amounts if you're gonna have a cup with 2 flavors. Lil bit of one flavor mixed with the second flavor. I ended up with a bit more pistachio than I expected. Wifey definitely had more dark chocolate than strawberry. I think next time we'll ask if they can scoop closer to even amounts of each. Although the total amount of gelato was more than worth the cost. We did sit inside since outside was pretty hot and almost no breeze. The place had 3 tables. One had seating for 4 and the other 2 had seating for 2 each. When we entered one of the 2 seater tables had 2 ladies that were jus sitting there with drinks and talking and laughing really loudly. It was echoing in the small room. Other than that it was nice in that cozy lil shop. We liked how the girl behind the counter was patient and welcomed us when we told her it was our first time there. I wanna try some other combos next time. This place reminds me of the lil gelato place we liked back home in Hawaii. A Hui Hou! read more

Great gelato in downtown Shawnee! Cute little gelato shop with many flavor choices to choose from. My favorite is always the pistachio which is nice and luxuriously rich. Also had the chocolate dino flavor which has Oreo crumbs in it. Perfect summer treat for after dinner or just because. Definitely recommend stopping by! read more

This is our go-to place for gelato. The taste and quality is unbeatable. They regularly rotate out special flavors and allow samples before buying. It's hard to choose just one flavor - they are all so good! The staff is friendly and helpful. You can sit inside or outside at various patio tables. We are so lucky to have a gelato restaurant in downtown Shawnee! Must try flavors- peanut butter chocolate, birthday cake, dark chocolate, coconut cream, and root beer float. Yum!!! read more

Was in the area for Shawnee night market and came upon this cute little gelato shop. There have so many gelatos flavors! Super nice of them to let us try as many samples as we like too. First time here and I really enjoyed it. Service is friendly and the place is clean with a welcoming vibe. There's a good selection of gelato flavors. Some of which are very unique. They also have some dairy free options (basically all the fruit ones) You can select 2 flavors with a small or medium and 3 with large. We went with the lemon basil and gianduja. The lemon basil is a very refreshing flavor and I love the notes of basil flavor. Perfect for the hot summer days. My girlfriend said the gianduja tasted like ferrero rocher and I'd have to agree. Very different texture and flavor profile from the lemon basil but equally as delicious. It's nice to be able to try a couple different flavors with one order and I'm glad we picked two that were very different from each other. We drove to Shawnee specifically for this place and I'm glad we did. Will definitely be coming here again to try some of the other flavors. They also sell some chocolate candies, gummies and a cow shaped cookie if you're looking for some other sweet treats. read more

Today I stopped in with my two granddaughters so they could try out some gelato. The gelato was excellent and very flavorful, creamy and smooth. They also added some toppings which were yummy. The place was very clean and colorful. I liked the indoor and outdoor seating. The service was excellent, and she even offered my granddaughters a beforehand try of one of the toppings since they had never had them before to make sure they like them before I purchased them. My family and I stopped at the Flying Cow on a whim. I am so glad we did. It is very hard to please every person in my family, but The Flying Cow did. The Flying Cow gelato shop is such a gem! The gelato is absolutely amazing tasting and reasonably priced. The staff is always great too. This was a weekly stop for us last summer. Gelato heaven! First time was amazing and probably won't be the last. Been here twice now. Got a chance to tried this place out recommended by my boyfriend and him watching IG reels. This ambiance here is such a vibe, fun, clean, spacious and there's even outdoor patio to eat your gelato treat. We got a small cup which is plentiful. Got the lemon basil, gianduja, pistachio, and mint chip. It was all delicious. They get their chocolate from Annedore's Chocolates, so tasty. Even their pistachio is not food dye like you usually see as a light green. It's a light brown and the taste of it so nutty and yummy. If you want something refreshing, the lemon basil, key lime, grapefruit persecco is the way to go. Definitely great for a date, friend hang out, or treat yourself. read more

really great service. person who took my order was nice and let me sample a few of the flavors. another person rang me up at the cash register. i was able to email the receipt to myself. i took my gelato outside to eat at the many patio seats and tables and they were clean and tidy. the gelato tasted very good! great flavor, richness, and texture. kind of messy and drippy, but at least there were plenty of napkins to help contain the drippage. an employee came out to wipe down all the used tables and even the outside trash can lid. it was nice they regularly keep everything clean. would definitely love to go back and try all the flavors eventually! excited to have such a great gelato place here! read more

Gah! What happened?! We love this place and have spent more money there than I care to admit! However, between last season and the reopening this season, portion sizes have plummeted! We gave it three tries in the last 2 weeks hoping it was just a fluke, but unfortunately each time we left feeling shorted. Even 2/3 of the cone bottom was stark empty! Please go back to piling the good stuff high and filling the cones full. $8 for the portion equivalent of a scoop of ice cream at any other place in town is just too much. The value is lost and we will miss this being our go-to place. read more

My wife and I dropped in for Gelato two days in a row. We're from out of the area so wanted to try something local to where we were staying. I saw that the flavors they had were sort of different. I'd never had a "Root beer float" ice cream or Gelato. Let's just say I had one taste and that's exactly what I wanted on the warm evening and warm day when I was there. The crew was friendly, the portions size generous and the gelato was amazing. If I ever make it back to the area, I'm looking to stop back in. read more
