    Yellowfin Tuna

Fantastic meal from start to finish. The first tuna bite was incredibly fresh, the seafood rice was rich, comforting, and packed flavor, and the pavlova was the perfect ending - light, crisp, and not overly sweet. Everything tasted thoughtfully prepared and beautifully executed. Can't wait to come back.

I felt so lucky that my friend was able to snag us a reservation at the 4 Horsemen!! We were seated promptly at 11am and were invited into a cozy corner of the restaurant where I was able to soak in all the artwork and decor. Our server Sam was really knowledgeable and gave us a lot of recommendations. We ended up going with all of his favorites which were the sugar snap peas, the bigeye tuna and gnocco fritto, white asparagus and soked sablefish, the soft-boiled egg and blue crab and finally the steelhead trout. Sam was wonderful to also suggest us really delicious, salty, fresh and wild white wines to pair with our dishes. Everything we had were perfectly cooked with bold flavors. I could definitely taste the care and detail put into every dish. For the smoked sablefish dish, the sauce was so delicious, we asked for some toasted in-house sourdough to soak it up. The pavolva dessert at the end with the surprise paired wine was the perfect ending. I can see why this restaurant is well loved and feel very lucky and grateful that we could have an opportunity to dine here. Thank you so much Sam and team for a wonderful time! This is my most favorite restaurant in NYC!

Finally got to try The Four Horsemen and overall we had such a good experience. We ordered so many plates and courses so it really felt like we got to try a little bit of everything on the menu. The atmosphere was super intimate and cozy, and the service was paced really well throughout the night. Some of the dishes definitely could've had a little more flavor or seasoning, especially compared to how hyped up the restaurant is, but there were still a few standout plates that made the meal memorable. My favorites were the clams, the tuna, and the rice dish, all three were so simple but done really well. The tuna especially tasted incredibly fresh and balanced, and the clams had such a light, clean flavor that worked perfectly with the wine. You can tell this is one of those places focused on quality ingredients and a more understated approach to food rather than overly heavy flavors. Overall, really glad we went and it's definitely worth trying at least once, especially if you love sharing plates and trying a bunch of different dishes throughout the night.

Came for dinner a couple months ago and never got around to writing a review so here we go! For starters, we got in line at 4:30 or so on a Thursday and we were the 3rd party in line and things filled up quickly between walk-ins and reservations so get there early. We sat at the bar and it's quite a cozy experience. The service is stellar. We started off with a couple glasses of wine (great selection of oranges). We then tried an assortment of things with the geoduck sashimi, beef tartare, and fried Spanish mackerel being standouts. Also the dessert, which was fresh summer strawberries w an herby whipped cream- delectable! Overall a great spot, and I love that they change the menu so frequently.

Everything was truly delicious. We went to enjoy their lunch menu. What a treat. The chef is bringing fresh combinations of great flavors to a mostly seafood/vegetable forward menu. We started with two perfect oysters which had ikura, ramps, Thai chili oil and coriander flowers. Then sugar snap peas cooked perfectly with a hint of sesame - oil some special kind. But the superstar starter was the leek custard, with a mound of Osetra caviar atop a little dot of wasabi sprinkled with Alyssum flowers. $55 but worth it! Then we moved on to the seafood risotto which was the most toothsome risotto made with Japanese rice - seafood broth - and a mound of fresh red shrimp, razor clams, scallops hint of chili and a bit of mint. Perfection The charred white asparagus with sable fish with Shiro miso and green garlic was a complete surprise - delicious. Another superstar was the soft egg sitting in a sea of blue crab meat - in a brown butter garam salt bath. Served with a crusty baguette that we used to lap up all the amazingly tasty sauce. Unique - unsurpassed in flavor. We ending the savory courses with a lovely steelhead trout surrounded by thinly sliced fresh asparagus and fava beans with this basil and almond. Despite eating every last drop we made room for strawberry rhubarb pavlova. So well prepared. Little bits of crunchy raw rhubarb and nuts added a nice contrast to this often soft dessert. The wines are incredible and we had a Portuguese blend with a Cortes to cema (sp?) Service was beyond excellent. Friendly professional and even fun. Wine knowledge is first class. Hip and cool. The room is small. Getting a reservation is better than winning the lottery but just as challenging ! We love this place!

    Sarano beans

Waited in line for just a little over an hour to get on the waitlist, about the first 6 people got seated immediately before reservations began. We got the fennel and Asian pear salad to begin, which was refreshing and acidic but a bit too oily for my liking. A surprising standout dish were the sarano beans - it was warm, brothy, and very comforting. The tripe was a really interesting mix, and the I loved the contrasting texture of the large croutons. We also tried the skate wing and seafood rice, which were both also good! I also tried the sticky toffee pudding which was was extremely excited for, but just found it a little too sweet. However, the service was extremely good and attentive - never noticed my water being empty!

Came here with a group of 5 for lunch after months of trying to grab a res. The interior is quite modern and chic. We pretty much ordered everything on the menu and most dishes are quite complex and refreshing. The steak and chicken are quite good. The service was fast and friendly. The whole experience did not stand out to me that much compared to some other restaurants of such fame.

Just incredible. Master move was to come for lunch on a Friday, much easier to get a spot. We tried a bunch of things from the menu of the day - the mushroom in puff pastry was my favorite. Loved the wine selection and pavalova! I'd gladly come back here anytime

    Beets + La Tur

Super interesting. The vegetarian options are quite limited, but I liked what I had. I was seated at the bar right away, but have seen super long waits when I've tried to go here in the past (1+ hours) so I got very lucky. The beets are soft and have some deeply caramelized notes. They're in a sauce that's mostly brown butter, balsamic vinegar, and some herbs. It pairs really well with the earthy beets, bringing some intensely rich, toasty, tart, and slightly sweet flavors. The la tur cheese alongside is incredible: funky, savory, creamy, and fresh from the scallions pressed into the side. The bread with cultured butter was great by itself - chewy and nutty, with tons of developed, complex flavor. The bartender recommended the bread with the beets because it's also great for mopping up the sauce - which added a whole new dimension. I had the sticky toffee pudding at the end. The whipped cream on top was light and fresh, complementing the rich and slightly spiced toffee cake. It's surrounded by a slightly tart and sweet caramel sauce, and topped with a healthy pinch of salt that really pops through. The bill came to $72 with tax and tip. A bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth it.

    Chicken
    Rebecca P.

Delicious! Loved all dishes except for one and had a great experience. The tuna, wagyu, and duck were so so good. The ibérico pork was also tasty as was the chicken. The chicken was cooked so well. But the star of the show for me was the soft boiled egg with blue carb. Phenomenal. I wouldn't order the seafood rice again... it was a little sad after having all these great flavors then just a bland rice. No flavor! The seafood in it was good but the rice was so plain. And for $40! The mushroom dish was also delicious we all loved it. We had to try all 3 desserts and each of them were lovely. Chocolate sorbet, panna cotta, and pavlova. Each were amazing and I didn't think I was going to like them as much as I did. Ambiance is so nice and I'd love to come back to try their wines and share some plates.. but so hard to get a spot. Alas, it was a good experience :) Definitely pricey though!!!

    Sea Scallop + Leek Custard
    Christine D.

Flavors were exciting and different. I'm not usually a wine person, but tried the Enderie + Moll 2023 'weis + grau' baden (orange/skin contact) and I enjoyed it. Ordered: - Sea Scallop + Leek custard: Very yummy and different from anything else I tried before. I basically felt like a scallop panna cotta. Very yummy, I would consider getting my own next time. - Seafood Rice: It was very good but this one just didn't taste unique. Basically was a seafood risotto - Iberico Pork Collar: A little fatty but very yummy. All the ingredients complimented each other very well. Restaurant felt cozy and homey. We did a walk in on a Sunday lunch and there was a small wait. We got there about 30 before they opened and there was no one in line. We returned (about 5 minutes before opening) after getting coffee/matcha and there was about 8 people in front of us when.

This place is impossible to get a reservation but decently easy to walk in if you go right at opening. My boyfriend and I went at 10:45AM, waiting until it opened at 11AM and pretty much got seated immediately. I think there's about 10 bar / walk in seats. The ambience and service were amazing! Super cozy and bistro-like. Service was quick and the waiter was super helpful with advising the proper # of dishes to get. It was also coursed perfectly. The food was delicious! Been to a couple of Michelin restaurants and this was one of my favorites.

    Megana V.

everything was good and really fresh! I was worried this would be one of those overhyped overpriced hard to get a res places but it was not!! loved their flavor pairings and attention to detail. walked in and put our names down for a group of 3 at 5:30pm and were seated by 8. if you have time on a random weekday would rec this over trying to get a resy! menu changes often but the bread, all the desserts, and the pork chop were all incredible!! (mushroom toast and crudo were also highlights!)
