The pulled pork tacos weee very full of flavor and came with a choice of fries, nachos, or salad. I chose the salad with Caesar dressing. The waitress was very nice and spoke both English and French. My mom and I went to The Frog & Underground after wanting some American-ish food while in Paris. We took the metro and walked to The Frog & Underground. When we walked in, the atmosphere was really sports bar-ish and very fun and exciting. The place was pretty full and we actually got one of the last tables available at that time. Our sever, Andreina, was a blast! She greeted us with drink and food menus and had amazing energy. She was super fun, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I ordered a Moscow mule, chicken burger, sweet potato fries while my mom ordered the raspberry caïpirinha, bacon cheeseburger, and fries. We also ordered the small chicken quesadilla as an appetizer upon Andreina's suggestion. The quesadilla came with pico and guacamole and was really good. Our drinks were really good, too. My mom said her bacon cheeseburger and fries were great. My chicken burger was okay...tasted a bit processed, but my sweet potato fries were awesome! They actually brought me regular fries at first, but Andreina corrected it. Serving size is definitely American-ish lol the burgers were pretty large and very filling. We had an amazing time watching football (soccer) and talking with other Americans and locals. The food and drinks were good, and for a good price, too. I had a pretty good solo experience here on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The place was short-staffed but given the demand on the team they did a nice job taking care of me. The main floor bar and dining area has a really unique decor. Soft booths with pillows for some of the seating. And exposed barnwood and lighting on the ceiling. The beer menu had something for everyone and I enjoyed the seasonal red ale (Polar Beer) and their superhero series had some tasty American-influenced styles and hops. We arrived in Paris and were very tired. After a nap , we went out to find dinner and chose this place based on Yelp reviews. I ordered the Middle Eastern salad, which was very good, and my husband enjoyed his burger. We also had a small order of nachos, which weren't good unfortunately. Although overall the food was good, I only give this place three stars because we couldn't enjoy the meal because it was uncomfortably hot inside, it's July and it was unbearable. The beer was warm too. Service was fast and friendly. There is no outdoors seating . We looked at the yelp reviews and decided to take a short walk to this wonderful restaurant. We were seated right away even though it was very crowded. We were taken upstairs to a different bar area and the music was excellent and the service was amazing. We had the cheese nachos, the sweet potato fries and a chicken quesadilla and everything was made to perfection! HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE TONIGHT!!!! So, I came here before a few weeks ago. It was fun enough, there's a very cute British bartender, so there is that. However, there's rarely anyone there but they do play good American music. Those are the bonuses. Now, my best friend has Lyme Disease and for two weeks has been way too ill to go outside of the house. So, God bless her, she is ready to go out tonight at least for a little bit, mind you, we live two blocks away. So we go, having had only a few drinks. The bouncer and his bouncer companion (who holds more weight in the scheme of things is up in the air) look at her and say "it is impossible tonight." We question this and question this wondering like hmmm what is going on. He finally says "you are too drunk." Unreal. This is because an 18 year old girl has Lyme Disease and does not have the patience to wear makeup right now, she has dark circles. She wanted one night out. Soooo I guess that means drunk now, a woman without makeup that may or may not look tired. I was shocked because we had so much fun last time, dancing, though no one was there, of course. The bouncers should be super ashamed of this behavior. I am writing this on behalf of my friend. So I guess moral of the story is if you look tired and sick go somewhere else, especially if you are a woman! See you tomorrow to discuss this despicable behavior Frog!! read more
