Do not go to this hatchet hack fairy. I took my iPad 64g in, for what was supposed to be a simple cracked glass replacement. The repair shouldn't have taken no more than a few hours. Instead the repair ordeal lasted 9 days. I use it for everything so, needless to say, it was an incredible interruption. Furthermore, her final, shoddy hack-job repair failed after only two weeks as the glass began lifting on the upper portion of my screen rendering my iPad essentially as junk. None of the buttons or tabs would work. I would have to turn it upside down to do functions! Initially, she 'accidentally' cut the camera cord on my $800 iPad. I had to wait NINE DAYS for her to finally get the replacement cable. She said she could get it by the next morning. She proffered excuse after excuse, day after day, and my 3-hour repair turned into 9-day ordeal. Needless to say, when I finally got my iPad back, I couldn't wait to get her completely out of my life. Unfortunately, after less than two weeks of her returning my iPad to me, with her replacement glass, it actually started lifting away from my iPad! Not wanting anything to do with her, or for her to get anywhere NEAR my iPad again, I took my iPad to another repair place. It was fixed beautifully and meticulously. It has worked wonderfully ever since. The company that fixed Diane's shitty hack job documented everything. Diane used SUPERGLUE around the entire perimeter of the glass and she didn't even clean up the shattered, shards of glass from when I originally broke it. If you value your electronic devices--keep them far away from her. Speaking of electronics - she is operating illegally. Any appliance or electronic repair company needs to be licensed with the Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair (BEAR). She is not licensed. Additionally, if she damages your devices, you have zero recourse because she has no address. Even her business card is void of her last name or a business address. Found Diane the Gadget Fairy at our local San Marcos Farmers Market which is on Wednesday afternoons. She completely redid the "repair" that was done and now my ipad looks and functions like new. She had to replace the glass/digitizer again which is $150. She also found that there was a missing piece, and the antenna was broken. This was included AND she gave me back the damaged parts. She has a background in engineering and really will take the time AND be VERY honest and upfront about what is needed. Mobile truck so she can come to you with her whole "office/repair center". She is in San Marcos on Wednesdays and I believe another market on another day. Diane is THE BEST! Last year she replaced my cracked screen on my iphone 5 and the cracked back glass on my wife's iphone 4. Yesterday she replaced the bad battery in my iphone 5 and she was at least 40% cheaper than anywhere else. Plus the fact that she came to my house and did it in her work van in about 5 minutes made it even better! I will never, ever use the services of anyone OTHER than The Gadget Fairy for any iphone or ipad needs! She has a customer for life in me! So I gave Gadget Fairy a 4 because I never give 5 stars to any business because where is the room for improvement? (We are all human and no one is perfect.) In so many words I was impressed with her and appreciated her honesty. I didn't end up using Gadget Fairy because she was over the top honest with me. She said it was going to be incredibly expensive for her to repair my samsung galaxy s 5 cracked screen and that I should go with Isquad because they have the expensive equipment she couldn't justify purchasing. Who can blame her? $15,000, who has that kind of money to purchase equipment when you are self employed? Diane fixed my iphone 5 screen over the weekend, she drove out to my house on Saturday for a great price and was done in half an hour. the phone looked great but over the next few days I noticed that my call volume was coming in really low over my reciever. I decided to ask her about it and she immediately wanted to take a look at it and see if she could fix it. She came back out and put on another brand new screen and fixed the problem. DO NOT GO TO THIS COMPANY!!! This woman is horrible!!! I initially called her to ask the price it would cost to fix an iPhone 5c screen. She told me $75 and it would take about 20 minutes and she would come out to my location. I call back 2 days later to set up an appointment. She tells me that the price is $80 and will again take 20 minutes. We set up a time for 2:15pm. I text her later to confirm the 2:15pm appointment because I will be adjusting my lunch break to meet with her. So I'm waiting and she doesn't show so I send her a text message. I didn't get a response so I called. She answers the phone and tells me she's still on the freeway and that she's going to be late. This would have been ok if she let me know in advance she was running behind so that I could rearrange my lunch break to meet her. Then she tells me it takes an hour at least to fix an iPhone 5c. I'm like that's not what you told me in the two phone calls we had. So then she says "you know what I don't even want to fix your phone anyway." I don't understand how you can run a business and be this unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate of other people's time. I would have been a great customer and referred her to others but she burnt her bridge with me. UPDATE: I did get back in touch with her requesting her screen distributor and full name. and came back half an hour and fixed the phone only because she caused additional damage to my phone. I appreciate her coming back and repairing her damage, but I don't think I will be coming back to her. Worst service ever. Came to my residence to fix my husbands phone. she "fixed" it and a week later my husband put his phone down, the corner of the iphone tapped something on the table and the entire screen cracked. I let it go for a week until the crack began getting worse and the screen eventually went out. She did say there was a warranty on the screen she installed, so I called her back and she came the next day, which was today. I told her what happened and she continued to accuse me of lying to her face and she said word for word "this is what happens when you drop your phone." and she continued to grab the phone from my hand and hit it multiple times with the tip of her car key, then say she wasnt going to do anything about the damage SHE caused to the phone and left.
