I've only been to the Galaxy twice, but this place is delicious and consistent. Our daughter has been craving the BLT wrap from here since last summer. We finally made it back and were worried it may not live up to the high expectations. We were wrong - it was perfect!!! I had the hot Italian sandwich and my wife had the chicken Cobb salad. All 3 were absolutely perfect. Delicious!!! I would have posted pics but we were too excited when the dishes landed in front of us. Quality ingredients, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Galaxy gets two stars for messing up my take out order AGAIN. I try Galaxy takeout about every six months and they always mess something up. This time we placed a telephone order for two Circle L burgers, two shooting stars and one kid's burger. We repeatedly and emphatically told the woman on the phone that we wanted NO CHEESE on each burger (because we know that Galaxy adds to cheese to some/all of the burgers unless you tell them not to). I checked the order before taking it out to the car (because, like I said, this isn't the first time that they've messed up), and sure enough the two shooting stars have cheese. I spoke with the manger and told her that I needed everything to be remade because I wasn't going to sit around with the other orders getting cold. To Galaxy's credit there was no argument on this point. I ran a quick errand and came back and the food was ready. Aside from the above, I had to wait at least five minutes at the carryout counter before anyone showed up. When I asked the sports bar hostess if anyone is working she kinda gave me a shrug with something like "there should be", but she didn't offer any kind of assistance. I eventually flagged down another employee who grabbed someone from the back to help me. Not the greatest experience tonight. Disappointing. read more

Wife and I decided to have dinner at their Sports Bar. Big mistake...I got the Galaxy Burger. It was a complete mess. It was impossible to even pick up and eat. Just a goopy, soggy, dripping catastrophe. Wife ordered the chicken sandwich which was cold as were the fries. This place is too expensive for the quality of food we received. Poor Quality. $5 for Zucchini Appetizer...5 tiny pieces the size of my pinky (and I have small hands). Chicken Parmesan I am sure was a frozen "pressed chicken" patty with a "slap" of mozzarella (at least I think it was mozzarella...$9 no salad and no garlic bread. The fettuccini Alfredo I would bet it was jarred sauce...yuk and the so called grilled chicken was sliced in pieces and most were burnt. We should have gone with our gut and refused the food and walked out. Then on top of that as we were leaving we smelled "cigarette smoke" positive someone was smoking at the bar. DISGUSTING. we went to the sports bar tonight and had the worse clambake ever. we ordered the clam chowder. it was terrible and cold! ordered the clambake and paid extra for a lobstertail. the tail was tough and barely warm. the clams looked fake, not warm and not even served with melted butter! the corn on the cob was not even warm and had some gross seasonings on it! Unfortunately this restaurant was less than impressive. My boyfriend and I were staying at the hotel next door, and decided to go to dinner after our long trip. We ordered drinks right off the bat while sitting at a table. Before our drinks even came to the table, the waitress came over to get our food order. We waited about 20 minutes for our drinks to be delivered. Our food took about 40 minutes to get to us, so we had to sit and wait for an hour before we got to eat. The food was mediocre, and honestly I could have cooked a better meal in under a half hour at my home. I think perhaps we came in when shift changes happen, but the last meal of your shift should look as good as the first meal of your shift. I was very disappointed when all I wanted was a simple drink, a warm meal, and to go back to my hotel room to sleep. read more

1st time here. Went with a group of "20". We showed up at noon and only a 30 min. advanced notice. They were busy but fit us in. After we all had drinks and food I asked what the overall impression was. 19 out of 20 said five stars. 1 said 4 stars. Yeah, that's impressive. Dined on the Sports Bar side; we got a variety of items and everything was just very average and underwhelming. Had to wait a while for our appetizer and food, fries and sweet potato fries weren't hot, and the chicken on the chicken Parmesan sandwich was very chewy and not good. The only saving grace was how nice and accommodating our server was. We came here as we had gift cards to use, this is very out of the way for us, definitely not impressed enough to go out of the way to come back. read more

Currently here. Smells like sewage. A table of at least 16 men is near us. They keep clearing the table and placing their dishes on the table next to us because the server isn't clearing it. These guys are eating dessert with what looks like entree or appetizers platters next to them. I have eaten at the galaxy twice. Very different occasions. First was a wedding AND reception. The service was great, professional, simple and guests went to the sports bar between the service and reception. Then the group was ushered into a hall for a catered meal/ dancing. Food was 100% better than any catering I've had before. Would recommend for events!! Second occasion was post COVID-patio dinner with my mom (60something) and my 14 year old son. Everyone liked their food. Margaritas were good & only $5. The nacho appetizer is huge and generous. I had the fried fish and would recommend too. Came in at 9:20. Kitchen shuts down at 9:30. Waitress was very friendly and prompt. I hurried up and ordered so I could get my food. Got the traditional wings. They were good. Ghost pepper was pretty hot but flavorful. Nice selection of beers on tap. Only reason I'm not giving higher stars is whoever the employee is at the bar right now talking to the bar patrons is extremely loud. Giving his opinion on political views and even the Will smith smack. I could care less what he thinks but he's speaking in such a loud voice it's all I can hear and he's pretty damn annoying. While we had a 7 person group, it was still on the long side. No one was overly impressed with their order and my medium steak salad was between well done and jerky. The area is our halfway stop to the east coast, the first time it was excellent, the door was great along with the service. The last time, we put our name in for a table and we're told it would be 30 minutes, the place was busy and I understand the wait. We sat at the bar and patiently waited 45 min later we went to check and we were told that the reservation had been cancelled, but they did not know who did it, we were told that we could put our name back on the list , but now there would be 1:30 hour wait. Heard great things, went to the sorts bar side this past Friday. Great atmosphere, our server was outstanding. My son loved his chicken wrap. I chose the brisket sandwich, it was awful, meat was thin and DRY. The cheese was sparse, I couldn't eat but didn't want to complain because our server was so nice. I'd recommend this place for a good lunch and drinks. Hope to return to try out the steak house, looks really nice. Kind of a surprise to find such a nice place in the middle of nowhere. The Galaxy had earned a high-end reputation in Wadsworth after it was established a couple decades ago, so when I moved back home after 18 years, I decided to stop there first on my quest for good food in Ohio. The steak was underseasoned, overcooked, sent back, a new one came out in record time, charred on the outside and bleu in the middle. When we have ordered seafood, it's been pretty sad. If I was to get seafood at the grocery store and cook it myself, it wouldn't be cooked much better, but it would be fresher and cheaper. You're paying the price, but you won't get what you're paying for. The space is strange and awkwardly sprawling, too, with three restaurants and an event space. Can't speak for the event space, but if you can't nail the experience at one restaurant, why run three bad ones? read more

Four of us went to Galaxy for the Thanksgiving Buffet this year. What a mistake. What garbage food and service. Before covid for years we used to go to the Galaxy at least every other week as the service and the food was good to exceptional. Went to their regular dining & their breakfast buffets. We made reservations. I should have known three?? dedicated people plus the manager trying to decide where to seat people. One other person taking parties to tables. So I have to ask myself..."Reservations"...out the window...how many to screw in a light bulb? A table becomes open with enough seats you seat the next party on the reservation list. If people are not vacating the tables fast enough...maybe it is not so much that they are just sitting around talking. Maybe it is because completely over-booked your reservations, or grossly underestimated the average time an average party will take to finish. If it did not take 20 mins for the server to show up & you had better service then may you would cycle people through faster for the $40+ A PLATE you charge. Buffet should have fairly quick turnover. While the servers were less than motivated, this was larger management created issue. After seating another 20 mins before server showed up. Did not act like wanted to be there but took our drink order which she botched 2 of 4. $40+ per person the buffet only included iced tea and water. Coffee=extra charge. Person that actually got his coffee just drink water & though coffee watered-down. Went to get out food, sat down, and no silverware. None provided at buffet but despite trying to flag any server they seemed to not be interested. So my wife got fed up & decided to go find silverware on her own. Another 10 mins before someone brought drinks. Even though not asked for, another 20-30 before our server showed back up with another over-filled cup of coffee when it was put on the table it made a mess on the table when she put it down. Did not seem to phase her,(probably not happened if she would have earlier taken extra empty glasses/plates needing cleared table. She left empty handed we pooled our paper napkins to sop it up to keep from running in his lap. Our server finally shows up at the end with two separate checks which she again botched up. Had to wait another 10 mins before she showed back up to have them fixed. NOTE: Other people reviewing this buffet are saying charged $35 a plate. Even if.....another $5 for coffee or the iced tea if not actually covered...??? My bill for two buffets was $84 before any tip ! Now...the food: Salad: Basic.....and I do mean BASIC...basic in a very limited way. Extremely cheap way that make the stature of that restaurant look very bad. Chicken Plank -From bar menu. Not bad, but still bar food for Thanksgiving? FOR $40+ A PLATE ? Expecting regular fried/baked chicken. Mac & Cheese -Nope. Very cheap bland tasting. Green Bean Casserole - Very snotty consistency & amazingly flavorless. Sweet Potato -Basically pureed to the consistency of instant mashed potatoes. Flavor a little bland which they tried to compensate by sprinkling a thin coat of marshmallow & brown sugar. Meh... Corn - Even though it was over-cooked and mushy, I did like the flavor. Broccoli Salad - Other than in short supply, one of the better items. Mashed Potatoes - Yeah! These were really mashed potatoes still with small chunks. YACK ! Who dumped the entire salt containers into this? Could not eat more than two bites. Horrible ! Tender Loin - Good for me as I like red/purple meat, though most people would have like it a little more cooked. They seemed to be rationing... Literally 4 bites per serving trip. Again FOR $40+ A PLATE ? Prime Rib(I think?) - Rationed two thin pcs 1-1/2 x 5". Tried to cut them with the table knife which did not work. I assume that we could not be trusted with sharp knives even though meat on menu.(I forgot about my pocket knife in my back pocket). Ate them like beef jerky with my fingers. Shredded Turkey - Fairly good. Sliced Turky Breast - Everyone else in party had second servings so I assume it was good. Desserts -Told the pumpkin pie was a little bland and so, so on torts & cookies. The girls liked the double fudge chocolate cake though. Service personnel for cutting & serving pies/cakes more interested in their cell phones and socializing with each other. All and all I would rate this a poor experience and would not chance it again with this restaurant even with our long history of great times there. I also feel very fleeced. Over-all the food quality and choice was sub-par, and screamed "cheap as possible" on everything. For $40+ A PLATE..(at least what we were charged), dare I say - scam. I should have kept it simple and went out to the 76/224 truck stop and had FAR better food, good service, at least half the price, a real salad bar, spent half the time, and without the anger. I and several friends had a late lunch and some drinks here while staying in the area. I took too much advantage of the margarita deal (if that's actually possible), i.e., $3.75 plus 25 cents tax for a relatively large margarita either regular of other fruit flavors. Service at both the bar and tables is fast. The burgers looked pretty good, though they did seem to be a bit on the medium-well to well side. That seemed to be the case again later in the weekend, when Galaxy provided an appetizer buffet for my group, which included sliders which were again well done. Starting off with the pros: The service was good and the staff were very nice. The patio is also very nice with a relaxing atmosphere. That's where it ends for me. I ordered a salad and added chicken. The amount of chicken added to the salad was laughable. The prices seem considerably high for the amount of food you receive. Moving on to beverages...any place that charges a mark-up of over 700% (and that's at retail prices...I'm sure they get a discount) on a shot of Makers (and it was a light pour) is asking for people not to return. For future reference...a double Makers rocks should cost no more than $8-$9, which is still a bit high, but tolerable - it's Makers Mark not WhistlePig. Conclusion - there are better places to eat and enjoy a nice day that have more reasonable prices. I don't believe I would go back. read more
