We are based in CA so needed a local expert to find a first class caterer (Attitude on Food), execute on our floral design wishes (Magnolia), work with our incredible venue (Willow Creek Glass Chapel), find a local vendor to aisle ready steam the wedding dress (Omaha Lace Cleaners) and provide suggestions for activities for the weekend. Jessica exceeded our expectations, and I would happily recommend her and Maggie for your special day too.

Via Farina was serving pizza that night, and I was excited to see my favorite, the Fratello, on the menu. The pizza came out quickly and was just as delicious as always. When we arrived, the place was completely full, so we were added to the waitlist. Even though there was a wait, the hostess was incredibly friendly and made the experience much better. I didn't catch her name, but she recommended several nearby spots where we could grab a drink while we waited. Our table ended up being ready sooner than expected, which was a nice surprise. The live music was fantastic and really added to the atmosphere. The bar was well organized with only a short wait, even with the crowd. The cocktails were fine, but they didn't stand out as much as the rest of the experience. Overall, this is a beautiful place for a date night, especially if you enjoy live music, great pizza, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

Went to see the band Parfait play on a Tuesday evening. Cover was $10 but because they are my…read morefavorite local band I paid it of course. I would have liked to know about the cover before, as this is a "speak easy" vibe so I don't see a lot of promo or content about their events. The drinks are a bit expensive, $6-16 depending what you order. My friend got a margarita and the menu said $13 but it rang up as $16, so that was a bit confusing. Depending on the time you go the seating can be difficult due to the sun setting and it being warmer there was a lot of seats open right in front of the band but it was INSUFFERABLY hot in those spots so we sat in the back. The bussers were great at clearing empty drink cups out of the way. I think it's a very cute space but a bit pricey, it's very fun for a more semi formal date as many people dress nicer for this space.

Most recently, I was there for a career development and networking event, and it was the perfect setting--creative, vibrant, and welcoming. The owners go above and beyond. They not only allow you to bring in your own food and beverages (a huge plus!) but they also stick around during the event to make sure everything runs smoothly and you have what you need. That kind of support really sets them apart. The space itself is absolutely stunning--full of bold color and personality, but also super versatile. There are a variety of photography backdrops that make it easy to create professional content or just capture fun moments with friends. Whether it's a business gathering, creative workshop, or social celebration, Luli Creative House is a gem in Omaha for hosting something truly memorable.

It's really like watching the Wizard of OZ and then suddenly entering a world of color. The space is vibrant, but not overwhelming or overstimulating, all the colors are pleasing and go well together. There really isn't a spot that isn't instagram-able, or cozy. With plenty of seating from the gorgeous green couch, to the white sofa, to sitting chairs, and tables, this is a space sure to spark creativity. It's a great venue to book for really any occasion. From birthdays, to showers, rehearsals, or photo shoots, Luli has really created a space for everyone.

There are lots of little touches here and there that are very unique and a nod to the past. I love the creaky wood floors and they've done an excellent job of keeping as much of the original architecture and building intact. You definitely feel like you're stepping into a bygone era. They had a full bar and very decent drink prices. I would definitely rent out this venue if I needed a space in the future.

Depending upon your event, there are a couple of areas to choose from, and the outdoor space is simply beautiful. What made this review a 3 instead of a 5 is two things: 1) Parking. It's on-street and not plentiful near the venue. When I attended, I did a terrible thing (because I got so frustrated with driving around the blocks for parking); I parked on the sidewalk. Not the best choice, I admit. Now I know to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start of any event there. 2) The chairs. HORRIBLE. I attended a theatrical production as part of the Great Plains Theatre Conference. Including announcements, the production lasted 90 minutes--90 excruciating minutes. To make sure it wasn't just my reaction, I looked around. What I discovered was an audience of so many people moving, bending, adjusting, and re-adjusting in their seats. It's as if the owners of 40th Street said, "What are the cheapest, most uncomfortable chairs on the planet? Yep! Let's buy those!!" If you attend an event here in which you will be sitting for longer than 20 minutes, bring a seat cushion with you. If you've read some of my other reviews, you'll note that I'm unforgiving when it comes to uncomfortable seating. This venue had the worst by far. The owners should eat their own dog food and sit in those chairs for at least half an hour just to experience what their guests are experiencing. That said, if you're looking for a place to hold an event--and you want something out of the ordinary and memorable--I recommend 40th Street Theatre. If you're a business and want a get away event where your employees can have some nosh and network, I think it's great for that. Standing, chatting, mixing, mingling--40th Street Theatre hits a home run for that.
