When we drop our children off in the morning for school, we want to know that they are happy, well-cared for, and safe while they are away from me and my husband. The Goddard School does this for us each and every day. Our Goddard School has become like a second home for our kids in that they are surrounded by people who care about them and will care for them much like we do at home. Our kids run to their teachers when they see them in the morning. The teachers are so devoted to the kids. They get to know the children well, from what they like to do, what they like to eat, to what games they like to play. I am also amazed by our Goddard School's management. They too know our children and can often be found in the classrooms or on the playground with the kids, teaching and playing right along with the teachers. Our Goddard School also offers evening information programs for parents (which included free babysitting) and also fun events for the children outside of the school day, like book club meetings, fairs, and more. The Goddard School goes above and beyond to care for our children, play with them, and educate them when they are away from their parents. That is priceless! read more

The Goddard School in Marshalton is a great place for kids to be when they can't be with their parents. I've been a Goddard parent for 8 years and have had three children work their way from the infant room up to the Kindergarten room. One of the first things that drew me to Goddard in Marshalton was the building, an old brick schoolhouse in the heart of Marshalton. I cherish our "back to school" photos that we've taken over the years on the big front steps. The building has been updated for safety and convenience of course. The teachers that fill the classrooms are warm and loving and treat my children as if they were their own. There is low teacher turnover; many of the teachers there today were there 8 years ago when we first started with Goddard. I definitley recommend Goddard in Marshalton to any new parents! read more

This school is terrific. It combines a loving and structured environment for the children with a flexible schedule for parents. Both of my children have attended or are attending this school. Their teachers are top notch - creative, compassionate and caring. The administrators are flexible and helpful in supporting the teachers. The physical environment of the school is great too - it's an old schoolhouse; however it now boasts gorgeous murals and new paint in all of the classrooms. The rooms are airy and clean. I'd recommend this school to anyone who needs a daycare option for two full-time working parents. read more

I was quite apprehensive to send our son to daycare, but from the moment I stepped into the building I knew that Goddard/Marshallton was different. I could not be happier with our selection of childcare for my little girl. From the moment I walked in the doors, they made us feel secure, comforted and part of the family. To see how the teachers have embraced my daughter over the past 2 years is so comforting to me. It makes it somewhat easier to leave her there everyday. GREAT SCHOOL - Our two boys have attended Goddard School in Marshalton since they were infants. They are now in the Toddler Room and in Pre-K. They LOVE going to school! The teachers and curriculum are fantastic. Both boys learn sign language and spanish every day. The school genuinely cares about your kid's happiness and their education. I love The Goddard School Marshallton!. My son started going there almost two years ago and has grown tremendously! He hasn't grown just academically, but also socailly and behavior wise. My daughter has attended the school since she was a toddler. I had a nanny for her when she was an infant. We love Goddard in Marshallton. It is more than a daycare, it is an excellent school for young children.
