My wife and I have been involved in the "alternative" (swinger, BDSM, non-monogamous) lifestyle for many years and have attended a number of related venues, parties and events. Out of all of them, The Going Place ("TGP") is the best by far. The first time we attended, we were immediately made to feel welcome and like we've been there since the beginning. The owners made it a point to personally greet us shortly after we arrived and treated us like they've know us forever. There was none of the "cliqueish" attitudes or atmosphere that we have experienced at other clubs and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel SAFE and has a great time with no pressure. That was over 2 years ago and since then, we have watched the club expand to more than double the original square footage and the owners and management are always seeking the input from members for ideas on how to improve more. They even have occasional cookouts during the warmer months, meetups at other non-lifestyle clubs in the area and other "vanilla" and family friendly events away from the club. While there are clubs and events much closer, we consider TGP to be our lifestyle "home" even though it is almost 2 hours from our actual home. If you don't have a good experience at this club and with its members, you are the only one to blame. Like ALL lifestyle clubs, events or venues, there ARE rules and restrictions. These are to protect ALL who attend! SUCKS!, This place is not worth the money, the crowds are tiny, maybe 20-30 people on a good night. You would think with that slow of a business they could keep it clean but it is not. The food was a joke, the rooms were tiny, they even have one room that is literally a closet that they say is a standing play room, wtf!. Not only is it very dirty and unclean, the owner is an ahole who runs around with his shirt off drunk as hell and going to every women in the place trying to get them naked and make out with him. The place is literally right beside a church, which as someone who has dealings with adult businesses I know this is 100% illegal it is even in the county's zoning ordinances saying that they must be 1000 feet away. How they are allowed to get away with this is beyond me other than this place is illegal, but I would not want to be there the night the cops show up and my wife and I will never go back. This place is 20 minutes from our house but we will drive hours elsewhere rather than to go back to this illegal dump. read more

The staff and owners were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We travel about 3-1/2 hours a couple weekends a month to come and party. We always have a great time. If you are looking for a relaxed setting for meeting like-minded people in the lifestyle, this is the place to go! The staff is amazing, making sure everyone is having a good time. The owners are there for every party mingling with the crowd and having a great time. This "lifestyle" environment is great; very sensual and inviting. My husband and I loved it. The workers make sure you are comfortable and their rules make sure that no one is behaving badly. Finger foods and desserts are delicious. We have been there multiple times and will continue to attend.
