Also while the burgers were incredible, the other meat based dishes were rather devoid of spice and bland. I ordered cod and chips, and it was ok... the cod was basically battered and fried but it could use a bit more imagination. Or seasoning (again, my ongoing complaint with most British food, so it's not just this place). My son's burger on the other hand was absolutely outstanding. My wife also liked her dish. Overall, this is a nice place to sit down after a long walk in the town, and get a few drinks and a basic decent meal. And the prices are very good.

After the lady was served he knew we were there and he served two other people that walked in after us . Obviously theses were regulars . Very disappointed with this service , from the outside it looked welcoming, but not inside . The barman was very tall , wearing a vest top and obviously thought the bar was making enough money by the regulars to ignore new customers . We left without a drink . Social & business skills needs approving in my opinion .
