There is some sense of exclusivity with a bouncer at the door and over priced cocktails. Wouldn't necesarily want to spend a whole lot of time here as it is underground and the ceiling is rather low but I would definitely suggest this to anyone who is going to Cambridge and looking for a trendy place to have a few drinks.

The hidden rooms as the name suggests are hard to find, just down a few steps off jesus lane. (next to pizza express) usually places that are hard to find are often worth the search and effort however this sadly wasnt the case here. It maybe much better late at night though with more people and the cheery beer goggles on.

From the reception desk to Toby at the front door to the young man who served me coffee of my choice each morning to the young lady who quickly steeped in to wipe up the orange juice I spilled IN THE LIFT, each and every staff member I met demonstrated great character. There are bars upstairs and downstairs, and rooms that can be hired individually. The club's aim is to provide to all University staff: Good food, Inexpensive drinks, a friendly atmosphere, beer festivals & lots more! It has a reciprocal access arrangement for members of the University Centre. As a building, it's pretty basic: a two-storey functional brick exterior (easily the ugliest building on Mill Lane) which resembles a 1970s sports centre, with very limited access for those in wheelchairs. The interior is also pretty basic, with the feel of a 1980s student cafeteria. But it does provide cheap drinks and cafeteria-style food, in unpretentious surroundings, and is close to the attractive riverside walks along the Cam. Friendly staff, too.

The Grads Cafe is a good, fairly quiet place to get some work done with some coffee/tea and Cam…read moreriver views. Our room made a constant noise we could not figure out where it was coming from, but it'd click on and off and would wake you up. Every employee at this hotel was so nice - from front desk to the restaurant to the pool staff to maintenance to room service (we used all the services!) They had an awesome playground and a kids bag with crayons and candy at check in. We stayed here and then drove to the park and ride which took us into Cambridge which was really convenient.

We went back to reception and they told us that they don't have a room for us whatsoever and the room that they had given us keys for was just a double room and not a two double bedded room. There was no manager on site and the duty manager kept walking away and refusing to help and kept asking the receptionist to write notes or call hotels and see if they had rooms. We were told no other hotels in the area had rooms yet we managed to book one ourselves online straight away 2 miles away. complete rubbish and get unless service.

Using the hotel's valet parking made things easier for us, very quick to get the car whenever we needed it. We also came back later after we had already checked out and they let us into the gym area to change our clothes in the shower area. Much appreciated!

The bed was a queen (not 2 twins pushed together). Very comfortable. There was a nice desk area with a large mirror for comfortable makeup application for my wife. Bathroom: Sizeable, nice shower. Parking: There is a small place that fits 3 cars in a single lane off the road for unloading bags. Parking is valet only. There is a lot of foot & vehicle traffic in this area, making it difficult to back out. Service: Very kind staff that is eager to help, whether you're at the bar, breakfast, check-in, or concierge desk. Breakfast: 7 to 10. Not your standard breakfast... There is so much well-prepared food that it is worth the stop.
