Came here on a Friday evening and it wasn't too busy. I was unsure at first how to order, so I just went up to the counter assuming that's how I start my BYO poke, but actually you just write everything you want on a slip and they prepare it for you. So the process was pretty efficient! It also didn't take too long to prepare either. Which they bring it up to your table after they finish. For the portion and price point of what you're getting, it's actually pretty good! I often get ahipoke cause it's nearyby my house, but compared to this, the quality, portion, and prices, are more well worth it. They have a variety of toppings here and the fish is pretty nice. Having it as a sashimi form looks better in presentation, but I may prefer having it in cubes since everything is just mixed up together. Also, avocado here is FREE. I can see this being a big crowd pleaser if you're into the sushi burrito concept. that said, if you're going to put "spicy" in the name, I feel like it should at least have a hint of spice. to be fair, I do eat pretty spicy food, but this barely registered. there was also a little too much imitation crab for my liking. I did appreciate that they put extra spicy mayo on the side instead of drowning it in sauce. good balance without being overly heavy. overall, solid lunch option and conveniently located near CSUF, which makes it great for students on a quick break. just not our favorite form of sushi personally. read more

Location is in a large strip mall in Fullerton, there is lots of parking and if you've never come like we have, it's toward the left side of the plaza near the side street. You order at the counter and move down assembly line style where they will make your meal to-order like chipotle. Sushi burrito: Had mine customized with corn, cucumbers, salmon, tuna, and albacore. It cost $18 but is super dense and heavy. I ate half and was full. I loved the flavor of this and it's literally a giant sushi roll, worth trying even though it is gimmicky. Poke bowls: my family loved them bowls thgoh we did notice they did "go cheap" in the expensive fish and proteins. Totally understandable but the pieces were also cut very thin and it felt like bare minimum one more slice of each was needed. Every fish option was super fresh, but the spicy tuna really stood out. I asked for the sauces on the side, and honestly, they were all delicious. The Good Fish is located in an older shopping area on the corner of Palm Avenue and Placentia. It's easy to access and fairly easy to locate. Parking is plentiful. The exterior of the restaurant is very unassuming. Once you come in, however, you'll discover that it's clean, bright, and nicely laid out. The dining area seats about 25 people comfortably. No outside seating is available. There are self-serve areas for utensils and napkins. There are a couple of self-serve drinks options: a case that holds bottled and canned drinks or an unlimited refill soda fountain AND specialty tea bar. The staff was friendly and eager to help. Orders are placed at the counter and are brought out to you when they're ready. There are several "build your own" options (poke bowls, ramen, poke burritos) and you can chose to fill out a custom order slip beforehand or just verbally place your order with one of the workers. Many of the poke bases, proteins, and sides are typically found in most such places, but I did notice some other fun options like fried wonton strips, daikon, and potato salad. Today my daughter and I chose poke burritos. She ordered the California Burrito, which is basically a large, hand held California Roll. She loved it! I ordered the Extra Salmon Spicy Crunch Burrito. The salmon and crab salad were fresh, the lettuce and cucumbers were crisp, and the spicy mayo gave it a slight heat that was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it! We're looking forward to coming back. Super good quality and layout for poke bowls. I absolutely love that they don't cram all the ingredients into a small bowl that you have to dig through. The fish is also sashimi cut and not your tiny cubed cuts so it def seems fresher. They do have some extra toppings you don't normally see as poke options (daikon, potato salad) but I feel they are missing some staples as well. Nothing that I'm missing though. Not a huge selection of sauces but you should be able to find something! My recommendation for those who are use to to the normal poke bowls drenched in sauce, I would go with "heavy" as a choice. I came by and picked up some food, been wanting to check this place out for a while now. We needed getting 2 chirashi bowls, 1 spicy tuna roll (8 ct) and dumplings with chili oil and reg dumplings. My drive to my place from the restaurant only took 6 minutes sadly by the time I went got to eating the fish in the chirashi bowl was warm. I was so disappointed plus the salmon wasn't tasting the best. At least the spicy tuna roll wasn't warm and tasted good. This place offers curbside pick up so you can order online and drive up to the front of the store and they'll bring it out for you. From the looks of it, the restaurant itself has a good amount of seating where you'd order at the counter and grab a seat. The food was pretty good. Everything tasted fresh and that one bowl was big enough to where I could get two meals out of it.
