There was no card included so we didn't know who had sent them. After 5 days, we discovered they had been sent by a family member. My mum was very embarrassed and rang to let the shop know that she received the beautiful flowers but that no card was included in the bouquet (mainly because this was not the first time flowers had been delivered by Flemings and a card had been excluded). When my mum spoke with the owner, the owner refused to accept what had happened, basically accused my mother of lying and threatened to ring the person who sent the flowers to tell them that my mother was lying. I can verify that no card was present as I was with my mother when she received them. The owner's customer service skills are practically non-existent. I am absolutely disgusted that my mother was treated this way, especially after having been in hospital and in a lot of pain. My extended family regularly use this florist, but that won't be happening anymore.

It was also no hassle for them when asked for same day delivery, it was like, sure... Where to! Exactly the type of positive attitude us consumers love to hear. So with little notice, they were able to sort out same day delivery and the bouquet that arrived was amazing, big and plentiful. Fresh flowers, nothing looking wilted or thrown together and unlike some florists, the greeting card was well written, clear and legible... It's the little things ;-) Their website is great, so many options and great value options at that. It is oh so cutely decked out and everything is arranged to perfection. Gardening enthusiasts will be pleased to know that there is a fairly healthy range of potted plants in store (more than at most florists) and a very cool range of pots and potting implements. My favourites are the bright white gumboots and watering cans - both used as pots - genius! Appasstionata also does flower arrangements to order, and outside there is a lovely range of ivy plants in wooden boxes - just perfect for your windowsill!

Merna herself replied that she was awaiting the florist to come in, so I thanked her and sent her the pictures so she knew I wasn't just fishing. I worked in a florist for years so I know it's not easy. Well I really didn't expect the response I got from her "She went way over the value of the bouquet as she is a great florist and wanted to make the bouquet fook fuller. Now I wish she had not bothered and just sent the gerbera. As you worked in a florist you will know about the costs of making a bouquet" As I said, I worked in a florist. Yet another in the long list of Florists is the Flower Bowl, it took about 5 mins before I got the name, I was having a slow day. The shop has all the usual suspects, arranged in the usual manner. They must do a bit of their own propagation too as the place has that lovely smell of fresh peat and damp greenery.

Lovely little flower shop…read more Not a specialist, but prices are not very cheap, but affordable. You see, I'm used to buy small bouquet from Aldi or Lidl and that's alright for a week on a kitchen table. Here, you won't be able to buy anything as cheap. There's a reason to that, if you believe the girl in the shop - these flowers are way better and will last much longer. What's important, that flowers will be made ready for you in a nice fashion.
