The communication of what I expected and what I paid for did not meet the outcome of service recd. Topping and pruning are two different things. Make sure you mark, spray paint whatever you have to do to clarify communications. My mistake in thinking they could do the job I asked them to do. Very disappointed, I still have trees taller than the house, I rec'd all pruned trees which will only get taller and cause more damage. It's why I needed them shorter in the first place after one fell on my car. While I love gardening, hardscape and major install was well-beyond my ability. The crew from BbL was incredible. From scheduling a quote, fair pricing, and their finished product they exceeded expectations. The install crew particularly went above and beyond to not only create beautiful walls/beds/steps, but even took time to blow all the leaves off the project site and drive area to make it look pretty - EVEN on the evenings before they were fully finished and in an area that only we see. The end result is gorgeous and brings the entire project together. It sounds cheesy, but after work on the day the crew finished, I came home and felt like I was on an HGTV show before/after reveal as I admired their work. My review drops to a 1 star rating now when I tried to contact them again to clean up some more…read moretrees. He showed up for the initial visit to look at the trees. While he was looking at one particular tree, he told me it was 'hollow'. I am still unclear what he was trying to explain and achieve except for the fact that it would cost much more to take the whole tree down instead of just trimming it up a bit. The tree looked alive and well except that it needed a few branches removed. Before he left he took my email address and said he would send me a quote right away. I had tried to text him several times within the following week to get the quote by email, and was told again that he would send it to me right away. I now think I have been 'ghosted' or blown off altogether. I am done trying to communicate with them. There are far too many tree trimming services out there that would be happy to have my business. I think it's very weird, disrespectful, uncool, flaky, rude,...... and not to mention, a highly unprofessional way to treat potential repeat customers. It's beyond aggravating and annoying. They could have at least communicated with me one way or another to let me know what was going on, or where they stood with the situation; namely being, if they could even do the job at all. The other companies that looked at the job gave me a paper quote right on the spot. That's the way to do business, to NOT stall or make the customer wait. It's a lazy, pretentious and shady way to do business. I won't do business with them anymore. I gave them far too many chances.
