Odd plating of 2 shrimp fiesta tacos where there is a holder for 3. But it doesn't stop there. We ordered peach wings and got some sort of Thai flavor. Ranch instead of blue cheese and zero extra napkins. According to my husband his last straw was a cold pimento cheese sandwich during the masters. Yet we came back for more. We tried this location when we were recently car shopping and wanted something nearby. We love the Greene Turtle-- at least the way it used to be. It was not really busy for a weekend at all. We were seated quickly. Our server was nice but it's like she totally forgot about us. She stopped coming back to our table and was no where to be found. My husband went to the bar to get us refills on our drinks and she never checked on us once our food came. Luckily the food was all good for the 3 of us (chicken tenders kids meal, Caesar wrap with fries, burger with fries) but was terrible service. I will note that the table next to us had a different server and they seemed to have solid service the entire time. We again went to the bar/service area to get to go boxes and our check and basically ran out of there as soon as we could. I would understand if the restaurant was swamped of understaffed, neither of which was the case during our stay. Needless to say, we'll be sticking to the Crofton location of Greene Turtle if we want to go back. read more

We went during the car show, and knew it would be busy but got a table right away. Took 15 minutes to be acknowledged for drinks, then that person didn't come back with them for 10 more - by that point our actual waitress had brought them. We ordered then. AN HOUR went by before we walked out... people who got there 30 minutes after us got their food, and waited an extra 15 minutes past them getting theirs and nothing. Just had the cheeseburger delivered it exceeded my expectations. Burger is thick and juicy and the fries are delicious with the right amount of crisp and old bay seasoning. I would absolutely recommend this for the price. I did not receive anything for this review and I have never ordered from this restaurant before. I just got carry out for my husband and I, and we have ordered from the green turtle several times from the annapolis location, so we know what the food normally looks and tastes like. This location does not have the same quality of food as other green turtles. I always get the quesadilla, and this time It was 4 small pieces, with only a little cheese and pico, no chicken and no sauce that it normally comes with. It was almost like they gave me the kids quesadilla. Ty Cobb salad was decent but the mixed greens did not taste fresh. I will never order from them again, that's for sure. read more

Well...this is a local place...wings not bad. I do need to warn you about something I stumbled into this week. We live in an area with very few delivery options. So when I logged on and saw that the Greene Turtle delivered to my house I was excited. I placed an order and the website indicates that it would be delivered in an hour. I pre-paid including a generous tip. An hour and a half later I called the Greene Turtle to inquire about my delivery. The girl that answered the phone told me that my food was still sitting in the restaurant. She also said that the food is delivered by UBER eats. She asked me if I want d to pick up the food. I DID NOT. She then tries to give me a refund. She was unable to give me a refund. As we are trying to figure this out....I was ready to call the bank for a stop payment....the driver arrived. My food has been sitting on the counter for almost 2 hours. Two and a half hours after I ordered the food was at my door. On a good day the food at the Greene Turtle is just adequate...after 2.5 hours...it is just terrible. So, take this as a warning. The Greene Turtle does not deliver and they do not believe that they are responsible for any part of the process, including food quality. Any self respecting restaurant would have pulled the food and remade it after about an hour. We threw everything away! What a waste! read more

I wonder if there's a Greene Turtle in Durham that serves "Blue Bombs?" *** But with 20 wings for $13.99, what's not to like if you're a teenager with a healthy appetite? Took the family to the Greene Turtle for Sunday lunch to watch a college basketball game on ESPNU. For some reason the Comcast cable package at home includes different flavors of ESPN and MASN but no "U." (Verizon's does.) Our answer is usually to head to the Turtle in Edgewater, just over the South River bridge from Annapolis. It's not necessarily easy to find because you don't see it from Route 2 (Solomon's Island Road). If you miss the entrance to the mall, you can still catch the service road at the Maryland Avenue intersection. If, heading south you cross Central Avenue, you've gone too far and need to turn around. It's a stand-alone restaurant tucked in the corner of the lot. As you go in there is a bar area on the right with lots of big screen televisions although only one has the sound on. On the left is the restaurant with lots of booths. The neat thing about the place is that every booth has its own flat screen TV. Kelly K., our server took drink orders and put the game on our set for us. There was a Sunday special on wings, 20 for $13.99 which is a dollar less than you normally pay for 16. This made teenage son very happy. How do you eat 20 wings?! They'll even split it between two "flavors." In his case it was teriyaki and a barbecue sauce. The BBQ sauce was a nice mix of smokey and tangy and not too sweet. They had a poster for an advertised drink special called "Terrapin Bombs." We asked Kelly what they were. Evidently it's cherry-flavored vodka mixed with a red energy drink. Is it designed to numb and console the Terp fans after their 85-44 loss to Duke? I was driving and stuck with water. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak (for $8.98) which had a generous portion of the shaved beef but was a little light on the grilled onions. Darling daughter had the "Tipsy Turtle Burger" (9.98 with fries) which she couldn't finish. My beautiful bride had the apple salad (7.99) which looked delicious. We started out with an order of nachos (7.99) which we could have done without. They looked like something that you left in your microwave for too long and tried to salvage with a dollop of sour cream. The service was nicely paced for watching a basketball game which would have been too slow for a normal lunch. Kelly did a good job refilling the glasses. The bill for 4 with tip was $78 (no alcohol). Kind of pricey for lunch, but I wasn't hungry again until 8 o'clock that night and only needed some soup for dinner. TMI? Will we be back? Mandy is awesome and only reason I can give three stars.. she's friendly, helpful and generally fun to interact with.... the guy working the bar last night 12/23/20 7pm- 8:45 pm (time of visit) was absolutely horrible... makes your establishment look bad. Doing shots with customers (obviously friends of his) and not paying attention to other customers and outright ignoring them, putting them on the back burner why he engaged in conversation and partying. Unacceptable. ZERO tip given and that's not how I like to do things. Mandy gets a 30% tip because she is very good at her job. This guy walked around like he owned the place. Acted arrogant and cocky with NO reason whatsoever to be that way. And I'm really having a hard time understanding how it's okay for him to do shots (ALCOHOL) while working. Isn't it his job to ensure he's not over serving a customer?? How can he do that if he's drinking? Anyway bad service from start to finish.. got the order wrong, didn't bring us drinks when we asked but certainly tended to his drinking buddies. Went to the Green Turtle in Croton, Md and the pretzel for the crab dip was hard. In addition, the crab dip was over heated. Was told that it's always cooked that way. Yeah, maybe at that location, but not else where. Was disappointed with how the manager handle the situation. I refused to pay for it and was allowed to order something else. Prior to that the manager told me I had to pay for it. However, our server, Ryan was the best. Would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

Ok, since my family and I are new to area we fell upon this place out of luck and desire for a sports bar. Actually, I Yelped it! It has all you ever need in a sports bar=lots of big tv's with many games going on, but best idea is the individual tv's at booths in lounge/restaurant area. That way my husband and I can watch the games and my young kids can be captivated by "spongebob". Food was std. bar fair, but big menu to choose from. Nothing too exciting about this place - it's a Green Turtle and as such it's exactly like every other Green Turtle. It earned it's 4 stars because of the sheer volume of Maryland Terrapin memorabilia strewn across the walls and the Chesapeake Burger... I went here last Sunday with some friends to watch the men's MD vs. Duke game. Wearing entirely too much red and optimistically keeping our hopes high, we grabbed two tables by the bar and settled in. Our waitress was awesome - she kept the drinks coming, got all 15 of our orders right, and managed to cheer for the Terps with us. The food was exactly what we came for. I had the Chesapeake Burger: beef, crab, bacon, and cheese. Heaven in burger form.... Even when the Terps began to head south and Duke took the lead, we all still enjoyed the rallying company of MD fans voicing their frustration. (Nothing raises your spirits like a drunk guy shouting "f*ck duke" or "Krzyzewski, would you like to buy a vowel?"). When it was all over, we finished the round and left - our wallets not all too affected. I've been in here about 3 times now, and each time I keep hoping the food will get better, and each time I leave slightly disappointed. Don't get me wrong...it's not BAD, it's just not GREAT. But it is pub food, so maybe I'm just expecting too much. This time around, I got the jerk chicken, which was juicy and spicy, very tasty and the rice was good. But the broccoli was rubbery as if it had been re-heated one too many times. The wings were pretty good, with a spicy sweet chili sauce that had a bit of heat at the end. My son got their turkey-raspberry flatbread, which is one of the better choices on their menu. It does have a good flavor, but can get messy, as the raspberry sauce tends to soak through the flatbread, causing it to drip down your arm and the bread falls apart. The sweet potato fries were a little on the dry side, but tasty. I think they rely entirely too much on their microwave (the food comes out WAY too fast for them to have actually cooked it), and while some items are tasty, many are just bland. I think they use a little too much spice in some dishes, perhaps to compensate for the texture? As for the service, they've always been quick to get us to a seat, fast with the service, and very friendly. Another plus is all the TVs at the tables, and you can choose your own channel, you're not stuck with whatever the bartender decides to put on. They do have outdoor seating with a good size patio, but the view is of a K-mart parking lot, so nothing to get excited about. read more

This was my first visit to a Greene Turtle, and I loved it. It was very empty, so not loud at all. The service was very fast and excellent The food tasted great! I got the mac n cheese, and it was cooked very well. You have a TV at every table (that I seen) to stay occupied while waiting for your food. Un freakin believable-- ordered buffalo chicken burger. Served to table in reasonable amount of time, but when I bit into the burger and began to chew it-- it seemed rather squishy and overly moist. Looked at chicken and it was RAW!! Not sort of cooked-- RAW! The crispy buffalo coating was cooked, not the chicken. Ugh. Manager was concerned, but not overly so. This was my first time to the Turtle and I would definitely return (in fact went to another location later that night that was just down the road to meet with other people). This is a great local sports-bar type place with multiple TVS so you can see multiple games at a time - to which I was in on a Sunday which had the Redskins game being aired - I was in from out of town and a bug skins fan so for me this was great - for locals if the Ravens are on at the same time there might be a slight conflict of interest but all in all a good time Service was fast really liked the fact that our bartender / waitress was right on top of us for food and drinks which was a plus for a busy football Sunday. Typical bar food with a mix of various entree' options to keep people interested so you can easily find something for everyone in here and a number of beer options was a plus as well if you want to try a mix of varying local and more well know brews Id go back for sure next time Im in town read more

I love love love the turtle! Everyone is so nice and so helpful & serves us right away & always makes sure we're good to go. But Mandy, the bartender, is by far my favorite! She makes me feel at home when I walk in. She's constantly making sure I'm doing good throughout my time here and always makes sure I leave happy. The bar is good for watching out of town football not on local TV. The food is just average. I usually get the sweet potato fries. The draft beer is sketchy, specifically the Yuengling Lager. Check your bill before you pay. On two occasions I have had the staff(1 bartender, 1 cocktail waitress) add beer and mixed drinks to my order. Was looking for a Greene Turtle restaurant in Crofton since I've eaten there before and was pleased with food. On the move put in the name in m GPS and started driving. Low and behold how was I to know there more of these restaurants in the area. After driving more miles than I cared to drive I ended up in Edgewater at this location. Food was just as good as the other location. Service was friendly and quick. I had the chicken Parmesan with noodles. The pasta was a bit different from what I am used to having. It was spiral and the sauce was a combination if marinara and cheese. Different but good. The chicken was moist and tasty. All in all the food was just Good. My wife had the chicken wrap also Good. The place had numerous TV's and many at the tables which allowed the selection of games. If your a sports fan this is a great place to see your favorite sports and have a drink. read more

I signed for Yelp just for this review. I placed a to go order from the Green Turtle at Annapolis Mall and was seriously disappointed. I ordered three apps: the crab dip, the chicken tenders/strips, and the BBQ chicken flatbread pizza. All three were terrible in their own way. First off the ordering was atrocious. The items on the web menu did not match up to the order takers screen which caused them to put me on a significant hold. Second, the food. The crab dip was mostly stringy (mozzarella?) and very little crab. It was terrible and hey, we're in MD for Pete's Sake! Second, the flatbread pizza was in edible. We threw the entire thing out. It sparsely had chicken, but was drenched in yellow (cheddar?) cheese. The chicken strips were ok, but it's hard to screw them up. Anyway $35 including tip is an insult. Never going back. read more

Well with very few people in the restaurant it took 10 minutes to see our waitress, we ordered our drinks and appetizers, the fried pickle arrived hot and great, the mozarella capresie had nasty hard tasteless tomatoes. They took that off and we got refills, we ordered our food and 30 minutes later it arrived, the build your own burger was good, and the crab soup was good, the cowboy burger medium well was rare, pink and cold in the middle, it made me sick after eating it. It was sent back and the waitress had to ask a manager to remove it from the bill since I took 2 bites after he yelled at her it was removed from the bill. Our waitress denied he yelled at her, but it was clearly heard and he couldn't be bothered to come out, you know since 5 tables seated had him so busy and only one customer threw up.
