When I moved in to a rented apartment waaay back in college, I had the great idea of filling up the walls with the covers (sleeves?) of vinyls. I checked out Vinyl Dump and they had an outrageous sale for Php10 a record in the less visited area of the second floor. Records were aplenty but I was looking for interesting covers for my wall and bought over 20+ at my first go. I found some really beautiful vinyl records of some Jazz artists and some pop rock ones for Php 400 a piece and they looked pristine. Great price if you ask me. Anyway, I filled my wall with great covers of never-heard-of artists including a creepy ventriloquist who has a record out with his doll. I'd pass it once in a while and have found some awesome Beatles vinyl records at good prices. Now only if I had something that would actually play vinyls. Darn.

Especially to the vintage-loving or who are simply on a budget. The newer releases will most likely have to be purchased brand new, or in a super mint condition, if you're gonna consider the availability of those records here in our country. And that's where this store comes in. The Gray Market sells brand new or used records. They should have copies for every decade and genre, but good luck finding your record. Stocks are limited and if you're not quick enough, the guy next to you might buy it for himself. I'm also impressed at their Japanese pressed vinyl selections. Man there are a lot! I don't usually see that many in a single place! If you wanna get started on some record-playing, then this should be one of your first few destinations. Once you've gotten deep enough into it you can watch out for the occasional popups. There's a cool-looking man (who looks like a pro biker) in the Greenfield Weekend Market who sells used records, but who knows how long he's gonna be there for.

They also have some collectibles, clothing and wipcaps for those of you looking for something fresh and awesome. I like the vibe and the energy of the place and they carry records from jazz to funk, to disco, to standards, to reggae, to hiphop and so on. As vinyl collecting is an expensive hobby, I would say the prices for the mint and secondhand are pretty standard and competitive. They also sell brand new and secondhand turntables and players that would tempt any newbie or even the old collectors. Whether or not you are a collector, this is a cool spot to check out if you're in the area or make the effort for no matter where you are in the metro. Trust me! The music is sublime!

I highly recommend this drink if you love cold brews. Overall, their coffee is amazing and the place has a great, chill vibe. I would definitely come back again if I'm in the Philippines and stock up on their coffee. I would probably come back everyday!

I think it is moderately priced and is definitely not a Starbucks kind of coffee. Only that it took them a while to serve my coffee hence they lost a star. One option would be Filbar's, which manages to sell comic books, cards and figurines of superheroes and occasionally favorite fantasy characters from Japanese Anime as well. With these shops scattered all over, one can imagine a network of these subcultures managing to tell each other about the latest small place where one can pick up a comic or a toy or even a card game that caters to their hobbies and interests. This branch of Filbar's in particular is conveniently located inside a mall and looks more like an open stall than an enclosed store thus permitting even girls like me to get in on the trend. The layout and location of the store diminishes any sense of hesitation that uninitiated yet curious passersby may feel and the general interest magazines displayed in the front portion seems to be an effective ploy to get any mall-goer to do the first step: check out the store. Yellow pad, 1/4 pad, 1/2 pad, lengthwise pad, Mead notebooks, Schneider pens, chalk, eraser, greeting cards, and many other essential items for work and play. Office Warehouse doesn't cater to the biggest crowd but they definitely have the supplies you need just not with as varied a selection. This place is focused solely on supplies unlike more stores that sells books...and supplies to follow. They also have good quality office items like desks and chairs so you can really go in here and purchase everything you need for your office or study area.
