The rundown and grotty exterior gives you an East End Gangster feel as you walk in and pay the doorman £3 on a Friday night when I visited. Then the cliental (almost all male) hits you. The strippers were super hot. I mean amazing. I could not believe my eyes. I saw some pole dancing and moves that made my eyes boggle. I could not believe the quality as I got a round in for a reasonable four drinks for £15 and the bar even offered cashback which is a rarity these days. There were rooms for private dancing and a pool table in the corner, a super size plasma screen with a fruit machine on the side. So just a bit of a pub, but with really, really hot strippers.

Then we walked past nag's head. All the shutters were down and it looked extremely dodgy, you couldn't even tell whether it was open or shut, but we were in a hurry and needed to get a move on. So we pushed at the door and were quite pleased when it opened. Inside it was incredibly run-down, rough and shabby, and the bar manager who was leaning against the bar looked at us ominously as we walked in (well, in fairness to him, maybe anyone would treat pre-noon drinkers with a measure of scepticism). And of course, the roughly hewn, makeshift, unpainted stage with the dancing pole just added to the seediness of the place. In our group was this guy dressed as santa claus. He really wanted to do a little pole dance in honour of the monopoly pub crawl, but disappointingly the bar manager would have none of it. Maybe he had a bad sense of humour. But 'hell's bells' I thought, he either had amorous fantasies about titillating 'yours truly' for 'later' or else, he thought it might be a novel place to be interviewed. What did I care. My Editor picks up the tab on these events and besides, I gave up long ago trying to work out how Political figures think, act or behave when not giving moralising speeches. I'd heard of Stringfellows before - just like everyone else in London who has libidinous hormones that still function - so I was more than curious to see inside. Okay, so the place is plush. Ageing lothario-cum entrepreneur Peter seems to have two establishments and hasn't spared the loot on décor. One in Soho and this one in Covent Garden. I prefer any Covent Garden venue any day of the week to a Soho establishment, whether it be the theatre or merely a sleazy casino. I may never have been called a lady, but a snob...sure, many times! Two floors and a really nice eating area, with no fattening food that could do anything to alter the trim figure of this 102 Lb girl who can eat like a horse as well as ride a winning nag with the best of them. To discuss the cost of going to a Gentleman's Club and eating in the restaurant is totally irrelevant here. Others can do that. Let's just say, be sure to come LOADED, besides, as the chaps who venture down this alley mostly go to ogre scantily clad girls and more - and who can blame them - so dosh, bread, loot or moolah can hardly be an issue with the majority. Let's just say, the place simply exists to 'Sting-fellows' and they do that very admirably indeed. So, enough for me to say the food was more than excellent and I just couldn't complain in the slightest. Many choices of tasty European cuisine on offer - even for the most discerning gourmet. But, as for the dancers. Well, I'm not sure who auditions these gals, some certainly had 'it' and others were so scrawny they needed a damn good feed themselves from the kitchen - or those who already had far too many roast dinners at home - but, as one spirited young thing whispered to me, they actually have to pay Peter a fee to have the privilege of even being there. Getting it from both sides hey Pete, wow, not bad at all. So, whether entertaining a room full of 'oglers' or repairing to the private compartments with those willing to contribute to the 'worthy' cause for a more 'Private Routine' must mean there's a pretty decent lucrative side to it all, considering the countless girls who infested the joint. Clearly sliding up and down on Poles is okay (and there wasn't a Czech in sight) for just the very dexterous - or perhaps even ideal for Hookers way over in Warsaw, but g-stringed table dancers in the hallowed halls of Covent Garden should appear slightly more 'regal' being the home of the Royal Opera House and the Royal Ballet - however, I am forgetting where I am. This place is certainly full of the three B's - Boobs, Bottoms and Bouncers! It's not a place for a young Lady to be taken, but as I didn't qualify for that label, but only as a hardened Journalist who has seen it all and maybe even dare I say, done it all, then I could be more than objective. Champagne, the most over-rated drink in the world, should never be sold for hundreds of pounds a bottle. But, clearly the girls flash certain parts of their anatomy while fluttering their elongated eye lashes and ask the guy if they would like a dance and to buy the libation, and as guys want to please their uninhibited companion - then the money flows...and Peter beams. A chap may not see this as a plush rip off joint till the next morning where he opens his decidedly vacant wallet with clearer eyes and a pounding head, but I saw it before my eyes and kudos to the visiting Politician who was with me. He agreed. 'Daylight Robbery' or perhaps, considering the hour 'Mid-night Robbery' he said salivating on that dimly lit night - inside and out. And, as I pondered - out of the mouth of an expert, wouldn't he know all about that!

On Monday, 13th February 2017 this venue of No.41 was used for the ELLE Style Awards…read more No.41 is located just off Regent Street and they are right next door to the Polo Bar and the Westbury Hotel in Mayfair. On the outside, No.41 club looks ordinary but as soon as you enter the premises it's actually very massive. If you're into Trance & Progressive House music, No. 41 nightclub is another decent establishment to venture out to.

Also it's a lot bigger which give you more space to dance. The entertainment is fabulous with electric violin players and dancers performing throughout the night. I used my Capital A List membership to get in so I didn't have to pay entry to get in which was a bonus. Definitely recommended to check out if you fancy partying in High Street Kensington and was something a bit classier than roof gardens of Bodos.

This part of London has a rural history. A windmill stood here…read more from the reign of Charles II until late in the eighteenth century. This gave its name to the footpath leading to the mill from Piccadilly at the top of the HayMarket over Windmill Fields. Mrs Hendersons provocative Windmill Theatre was here. Opened as the Palais de Luxe Cinema on 20th December 1909. A seating capacity of 600 was claimed in stalls and a stepped rear stalls area. It had a tiny corner entrance which remains to this day. In the late 1920 it became Britain's first art house cinema and was under the direction of Elsie Cohen. In 1931 architect F. Edward Jones made alterations to the building to convert it into a live theatre. A new facade was added in the style of a windmill with turrets and balconies carried out in a traditional style and covered in white faiance tiles. The interior design was by owner Mrs Laura Henderson in tones of beige and brown. It opened as the Windmill Theatre on 22nd june 1931 with the play Inquest by Michael Barringer starrring Mary Glynne and Hilda Trevelyan. Unfortunately 'legit' theatre was not a hit here and in the autumn of 1931 it had returned to screening art house films. Mrs Laura Henderson introduced London to a new kind of show which originated in Paris. Called 'Revuedeville' it featured 18 acts of non-stop variety turns which to start with was not a great success. However, once naked girls posing was introduced into the programme, it drew large crowds and became one of London's must see attractions. Opening on 4th February 1932 it ran daily, continuously until 31st October 1964. Theatre manager Vivian Van Damm proclaimed the Windmill Theatre slogan 'We Never Closed' as the shows and the theatre became famous through the war years. The Windmill Theatre did actually close along with all other forms of entertainment when a compulsory closure order came into effect from 4th September until the 16th September 1939. Mrs Henderson died in 1944 aged 82, but the show went on. Harry Secombe after demobilisation, he got his first professional engagement at the Windmill Theatre.Many stars performed there..Eric Barker,Tony Handcock,Kenneth Moore, Jimmy Edwards, Arthur Haynes etc. The famous sign on the front of the building depicted the sails of a windmill revolving around and this remained in situ for many years. After closing as a live theatre in 1964 it was purchased by the Compton Cinema group and was renamed Windmill Cinema, opening on 2nd November 1964 with Nude Las Vegas. It was sold to sex industry impresario Paul Raymond and he was operating it as La Vie en Rose Theatre Restaurant by 1984. In recent years it has reverted back to the Windmill Theatre, staging adult live entertainment for the gratification of men who like to have a naked girl in their lap! The Windmill Theatre has been the mainstay of plots in at least two films: Rita Hayworth in Tonight and Every Night (1945) and Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins in Mrs. Henderson Presents (2005).

I politely declined, headed to the bar to order a drink, and was followed by the same girl. The bartender asked me repeatedly what I wanted to buy her to drink. Bear in mind, I had been through the door less than 30 seconds. After I got my drink, the same girl insisted on leading me to a booth where I was less than 2 feet from men on either side of me getting lap dances. It was close and quite awdkward. After declining a dance several more times, she left me there trapped between the other men with a table blocking my exit. Before I could get up, another girl moved in and, after berating me for not buying a dance from the previous girl and warning me not to waste their time, started trying to sell me a dance. I was constantly, aggressively harassed by a series of girls trying to make me feel bad for not buying 20 pound dances the entire time I was there, and every time I said I wanted to just drink for a minute and take a look around I was either insulted or told I should just leave. There is a stage, but in the hour and a half I was there two dancers used it once for about two minutes, not really dancing to the music, just looking bored and swaying back and forth near the poles. I was told I couldn't get a seat on the main floor without 100 pound + bottle service and 'renting' one of the girls. I don't think this was accurate, because other men and groups were seated with no girls, not even drinking. The girls were completely ignoring them. If they did pay to be there, they got ripped right off. The decor was dirty and run down. I did use the men's room while I was there, and the attendant made loud, rude comments about me using the toilet. While I was in the stall, a woman came in and started yelling at the attendant in french about something for several minutes. To be clear, this was not a unisex rest room. The attendant actually asked me for a 5 pound tip on my way out. I had two rum and cokes for 10.50 each before I finally had to give up and get out of there. The truth is, I brought cash to tip and get dances, but the whole experience was so predatory and unpleasant that the mood was completely destroyed. For the most part, the girls were tired, bored, angry, eastern europeans that were not particularly attractive. I did see a couple of girls I would have liked to see dance, but they stayed down on the floor area where I 'wasn't allowed'. Walk by and snap a picture, maybe read the history if you're interested....but don't go inside. Just awful. My only regret is not being able to give it less than one star.

Free before 11:00 if you're a female (guestlist yoself fool) 2. Music is good. It's largely top-40 and hip hop, but they play some really good classic hip hop beats, and they'll throw in some good electro in the mix too. I'm surprised that the DJ at this kind of place would be good. 3. Stripper pole - uhhhh huh. It's a strip club on weekdays, apparently. And obviously, as the night wears on, you have (drunk) girls clamoring on that thing to (successfully) lure men into their lairs, but it's a great form of entertainment/people watching. And exercise, if you so please. Drinks are reasonably priced, although I have to be honest and say that I can't remember. I find that the people here are generally really friendly. As a girl, you rarely find girls who are just really nice to you. At the redrooms, I found such specimens of females. The one thing is just that the spot is a bit small and can get incredibly crowded as the night wears on. Just clamor for the pole.

This place is a straight SCAM, do not go here!! I wish I could give it -5 starts... Horrible.
