You aren't just a face in the crowd; you're someone they genuinely care for. The small group ministry is a huge standout. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, they offer groups based on personal interests. They offer Wed night adult service that focuses on learning more about the history and teaching of the Bible. For parents, the kids' programs are a total lifesaver and a joy for the children: Mother's Day Out and Wednesday Night Groups that keep the kids engaged mid-week with age-appropriate lessons that aren't just "babysitting." If you're looking for a church that is serious about the Bible but equally serious about loving people well, this is the spot.

Many of the sermons are filled with the pastor's personal stories and experiences. Scripture is always read at the beginning of the service but sometimes the sermon has nothing to do with the text. This church is about growing as large as possible and asking for money. They share the Gospel every Sunday, which is good, but the pastor almost always talks about giving tithes, especially when they are falling behind their projected income. They say it's for the Lord, but they have extravagant events such as all-free steak and potato dinners for the men, entertainment, or games (but the ladies have to pay for their own meals at their events) and paying down their debt to expand. Their $3million+ budget is purposely hidden in terms of staff because they don't want people to know how much the senior pastor makes. It is supposedly an elder-led church, but the senior pastor seemingly makes all the decisions. Unless you go to Sunday School with one of the elders or go out of your way to talk with them, they probably won't know who you are. All this to say, be careful with investing your time, energy, and money at this church. But many people are very comfortable here.

It does not have a tab for events. it needs a tab for that says sunday school class not life groups like some sort of politically correct title. The life group pictures have not been updated in years. The church is not meeting the needs of community by not having a singles, widow/widower or divorce class for people above 40 years old. The church should have events where members could meet each other such as ballroom dancing or bridge or rook cards on friday or saturday night. They could have gospel singing 1 night a month on a friday or saturday night. A spaghetti meal for $10 one night a month before the gospel singing may help. Just seems a little stagnant.

The worship is mindful of each worshiper in that scripture can be given for each aspect of the service and all can unify on that. With a membership of 1200, they are active in community service providing a number of services such as making care bears that are delivered to Emergency rooms to give comfort to children receiving medical attention; making sleeping mats and blankets for homeless; provides a fabulous VBS and a free Fall Festival; regularly conduct prayer walks in neighborhoods; and always ready to study the Bible with anyone. They are active in missions locally and abroad. The youth program is second to none and a mother's morning out program is offered four days of the week. The Bible classes are relevant and indepth, full of spiritual insight. There is no "pressure sales" pitch, or overly aggressive experiential drama during worship, or traditional and contemporary service, just pure praise in singing, unity in prayer and communion, and a well presented lesson from the good book.
