This may have changed now as when i went here they were in the middle of buildinga brand new kennel area, with heating. So after i got out and got the dog out we walked over to reception where the lovely lady dintroduced herself and fussed the dog. She then took us on a guided tour of the kennels and told us how much better the entire site was going to be. We even got a glimpse of the new cattery which was double glazed and heated. So the kennels will be the same. Which will be great for all dogs. The actual place is great anyway but with the new kennels will be even better. Again you get the same questions about what food your dog has and that they can have a run around in pretty much a secure field. Prices are excellent and for what you pay your dog gets a great amount of care and comfort. A really really nice Kennels with great staff and super value!

The second time our plane was delayed and we arrived 20 minutes late to pick the dogs up and the old bag who ran it shouted out the window that we couldn't have the dogs and to come back the next day. In the end her husband, who was a lot nicer helped us, but they don't take cards only cash and they only gave half our dog bed back. They are 40 minutes from our house so it's not easy to go back and get them. When my husband phoned her to ask she told us we were black listed! We would never use them again any way, and I certainly wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. She was the rudest person I've ever encountered,slamming doors and muttering under her breath. Appalling.

Our previous dog was a very nervous German shepherd and they we always kind and went the extra mile for him even getting chicken breast specially for him. My dog spent 2 weeks before I got them the hell out of there and away from with 2 neglectful thieves - DALE AND LORRAINE ! They didn't feed my dog hardly at all which resulted in them loosing 2kg in 2 weeks, left her in freezing, wet conditions and were never there when I turned up unannounced during visiting times , despite them insisting they played with the dogs all day long! All the dogs and cats there were freezing, the heating was never on and the puppies looked like they were on deaths door! I would never have discovered half the things I did if I hadn't kept turning up unannounced. When my concerns for my pet was raised they were worse than rude - they were insulting, aggressive and behaved in an utterly disgraceful manner. DALE and LORRAINE are quite happy to accept peoples money and sit in their big house with their nice cars in the drive which YOU pay for and in return they do b are minimum to naff all for your beloved pet! They have gone way past complacency and without a doubt neglectful and cruel, utterly lacking in basic care for animals and have zero empathy for you as an owner of an animal you love that is part of your family! Please, please do yourself a favour and don't even think about leaving your animal at BAYTON LODGE with DALE and LORRAINE, least of all actually hand over money to them! Dale and Lorraine came to the rescue when I found myself in an entirely unexpected situation and…read morewas at a loss as to what to do. The two of them were so very reassuring and went a long way further than I could have hoped for, to immediately help me with my pets' quarantine issues. Dale's willingness to travel down to Heathrow at the end of a normal workday was only the start, after which they arranged for the vet to make an unscheduled stop so that the required rabies shots could be given in time to have our boys home before Christmas. Dale was immensely patient with me checking in on our boys and he was equally reassuring. Upon my arrival to pick my pets up, Lorraine greeted me, told me that she was giving one of my pets a bath and told me of a local cafe where I could get some breakfast while she bathed my dog. I returned to find my dog beautifully prepared for his trip home and my cat with a thorough brushing that made him all but runway ready. Dale and Lorraine could not have been a better choice to entrust our pets with, there is nothing that they could have done better, and they exceeded my expectations in every way. I sincerely hope that if anyone finds themselves in the situation that I was in, they are fortunate enough to seek the help of Dale and Lorraine, their pets will be in the best of hands and will be returned to them after what I can only compare to a "spa" trip for pets. Here you will go to the reception and see the really friendly staff. They are very helpful on the phone and in person. They will lead you on a quick tour of the kennels so you know what your dog will housed in. They also give you options for giving you dog food and treats. Whether its wet or dry food and if they are allowed one chew per day etc. When entering the kennels it gets very loud as all the dogs bark hoping its their owners to take them home. The worst part about any kennel is seeing your dogs face upon closing the door and walking away. They also have reasonable prices too per day. All the dogs are let out for a run around every day aswell! A nice boarding kennel to leave your beloved pets whilst your away. I would recomend it.

Ive recently had to use a dog walker so was looking around for someone that i could trust - never…read morean easy thing to entrust your beloved hound to someone else! I found Denise on the internet and saw that she used to work for the police, is CRB checked and had some good testimonials. So i rang her up - she wasnt available but someone took my number and she rang back when she said she would - always a bonus! We made an appointment for her to come out and meet us and our dog within a few days. I was also sent copies of her CRB check, insurance details and a form to fill in asking important things about our dog such as whether he was vaccinated, neutered, if he liked being walked with other dogs, if he could be let off the lead etc. This made me feel at ease as i could see that she was very professional in her dealings. When we met Denise our dog took to her straight away - she is very warm and obviously cares deeply about dogs. We discussed what we needed as well as what we might like in the future - our dog could really do with some socialising with other dogs and Denise handled this very well and made some brilliant suggestions. She invited us round to her home, where she runs her business from, so we could see the set up and so that our dog could get to know her even better. When it came time for Denise to take our dog out for a walk i received a text afterwards saying how it had gone - this really put my mind at ease. A 30 minute walk, on his own, cost £8.50 which was cheaper than some places that i had looked at. When i got home that evening my dog was incredibly happy - i could also tell that he had been given a wash down after his walk as he was all soft and fluffy (hes a German Shepherd & malamute cross so am not sure he would appreciate being called fluffy!). During the week that followed i got some lovely texts from Denise about how he was behaving during the walks. Denise doesnt do much advertising as her clients tend to come via word of mouth - if thats not a good recommendation then i dont know what is - Highly recommended from me :)

Inside, though it's quite small it is bright and colourful and you can feel the love for dogs in the air. It was clear just by viewing the dogs already in here that they are well looked after and the experience is fun for them. We didn't want to take too much of their time up so we just asked a few questions and Sue was more than helpful. She explained that a general grooming and pamper session lasts about 20 minutes and though prices differ for different breeds, Frecks being groomed would cost around £30 (she's a chihuahua / shih tzu cross). That would include her being bathed, her nails clipped and her ears given a good scrub. The best thing about Mutleys Makeovers is the fact that all dogs after being groomed leave with a little bandana, sometimes personalised! How cute! We haven't had the chance to take her down yet but when we do I'll let you know how we got on.
