I had gutter work done today- some repairs and some replacements. Joe, the guy who actually came out to do the work, was great. He was very competent, professional, and efficient. The price for the work was reasonable. The only reason I didn't give five stars is it is hard to nail down an appointment. I was told it would be last week, I hadn't heard anything by Wednesday so I got back ahold of the owner who gave the original quote and he said it would be last Friday. They showed up this Monday instead without notification. Fortunately I am flexible as I work from home but otherwise that might have been a frustrating situation. We have used the gutter people a few time and it's also been an easy experience. I use them every time we get ours cleaned.

This was the worst experience I could imagine from a simple service like gutter cleaning. Do not use this service. 1. They had a coupon on Yelp for service, which after I bought, they complained over the phone to me that they weren't aware the coupon was still available. They said they would honor it. 2. Little did I know, they honored it by delaying 4 weeks, after multiple messages, before finally showing up to do the service. 3. The service consisted of blowing debris out of the gutters with a leaf blower. Mess everywhere. minimal effort at cleaning up. 4. Next rain - find out that they missed entire sections of gutter. Water literally flowing over the gutters. There was a PLANT growing in one gutter. 5. Attempted to let them resolve situation - more delays and delays - and complaints to me about Yelp's coupon service. 6. They never showed up to "finish" the job. Went with another contractor who did a fantastic job. Simple Point: Terrible customer service and terrible service in general. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

I've used Gutter People for many years - I live in a wooded area and have a three story house with three story gutters - requiring very tall ladders and people patient enough and brave enough to pull leaves out of gutters while standing on a three story ladder. But they do and have provided us with excellent service over many years. They also repair and replace gutters and they've done that for us as well and do that just as well. read more

I signed a contract with them for approximately $500 of new gutter sections and cleaning. One section they installed drains away from the downspout and ponds water. This has caused standing water and I've noticed water infiltration into the house where I had not before their work. I have attempted to get them to repair this issue for 2 weeks without success. I wrote them a letter today and will update this review based on their response to this defective installation. read more

The Gutter People originally installed the gutters on our house and did a pretty good job at a good price, but a few repairs were needed recently, one of which was due to a failure to secure their installation in a certain spot. So we went back to them to get the repairs and a cleaning -- only to find that their quality of service had really gone down the drain. Hard to reach, didn't make set appointments, failed to do all the service that was agreed on. After four calls, I've given up on getting the last bit done. They seem to be having staffing and organizational problems. I sympathize, but I can't say I would use them again. read more

The Gutter People have solved my gutter problems. I have a three story house with very high gutters requiring extension ladders and brave and willing people to climb those ladders and hang on with one hand while pulling leaves out of clogged gutters with the other... Living in a wooded area, my gutters need frequent cleaning and the Gutter People come on a regular basis and maintain my gutters. My gutters stay flowing and my basement stays dry. I chose Gutter People because they had the cheapest price and I guess I got what I paid for... My gutters were installed in July 2012. In the spring of 2013, I noticed that the back gutters were sagging in one section. I contacted Jason in May. Someone from the company came to the house and looked around before I even came to the door. He said he noticed the gutters sagging on the back of the house and pointed out a few more problems along the front. He said the front should have be installed with a second downspout. He didn't have the equipment to fix any of the problems and said he would return. I never saw anyone from the company again. I reached out to Jason several times through email and on the company's website. He said someone would call me to fix the problems, yet no one ever called. Basically, the company admitted the gutters weren't installed properly and they won't take the steps to make things right. read more

Althought the Shur Flo product is good, their installation is poor. They don't follow the manufacturer's recommended installation. They installed a section on one of my gutters by piecing it in when it should have been one continuous section of about 5 feet. I called to ask them to fix it and they did not respond. The on the job supervisor did not perform any sort of QA on the job or he would have found the incorrectly installed gutter guard. They also showed no regard for how it looked from the ground they simply installed it over gutter hangers that should have been replaced which created a wavey look. read more
