Local guide here.. I would NOT recommend purchasing an RV from Harper RV based on my experience…read more We purchased an 18-year-old camper for $7,000 that was being sold through Jason Hightree on behalf of his friend. During the sale, we were told the roof had at least a few more years of life left in it and he's been taking care of this camper since they sold it to that customer. That statement played a major role in our decision to buy the camper. The very first weekend we owned it, we discovered roof issues and had to file an insurance claim. When Camping World inspected the roof, they asked if we had just purchased it because, in their professional opinion, the roof had essentially NO life left and needed to be completely replaced. We were told the roof material was down to approximately 1/16 of an inch and that replacement would cost around $8,000. *I called Jason to discuss what we had been told. He said he had never been on the roof. That response was shocking considering he had just told us that month it had a few more years of life left. There is a HUGE difference between "a few more years" and "no years." When I pointed out that he had years of experience in the RV industry, he corrected me and said he had actually been doing this for 30 years. That only made the situation more concerning to me. If someone with that much experience couldn't identify a roof in this condition, or was willing to make statements about its remaining life without inspecting it, that is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Also letting me know he's been taking care of this very camper for all issues in the past. He LIED to us! I understand that used campers can have issues, and I didn't expect perfection from an 18-year-old RV. What I did expect was honesty and transparency. If we had been told the roof was at the end of its life and would need immediate replacement, we would have negotiated accordingly or walked away from the purchase. Because of my experience, I CANNOT recommend Harper RV. Buyers should not rely on Harper RV/Jason Hightree's verbal representation/trust.

After some minor paint damage happened to my car, I took it to Dacus for an estimate. After insurance processed it, we received a check for $500 less than what the claim had been. I called the insurance company to ask why this was, and they said that Dacus had agreed to do the work for the lower price, so with my deductible and the check they had sent I would be good to go. I called Dacus to schedule to work, however they surprised me: They said they didn't care what they had agreed to with the insurance company, they would be charging me the full price on the original estimate, and probably more, and I would just have to eat what insurance didn't cover. Thankfully, I called my insurance and was able that check voided (it was addressed to the body shop), and found another body shop that agreed to do the work at the price that Dacus had agreed to do it for before they tried to make me pay the original estimate price out of pocket. The insurance company had the documentation that Dacus had agreed to do the work for that lower price, email trail and everything, so Dacus apparently thought they would just agree to the lower price and then get some extra money on top out of me. No thanks.
