    Seafood Benny

Recently I had a wonderful Eggs Benedict, called Seafood Benny; it had an interesting twist instead of an english muffin it came with Yorkshire pudding, a surprisingly works well with the egg york and salmon. The service was excellent very friendly and quick with the order. The restaurant had lots of light and plenty of spaces to sit and relax and enjoy a good conversation or meal. Definitely would recommend going if you're in the area.

Visited The Hard Bean Brunch Co. in Port Moody on a quiet night, which I was really happy about. It was nice to actually enjoy the space without the usual weekend rush, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and comfortable. The vibe is fun and stylish a good spot to bring your girlfriend or someone special. The menu has a lot of variety, and the food was well prepared, but personally, I wouldn't come here starving. Portions were decent, just not a place I'd go if I was extremely hungry. Drinks were a highlight and definitely add to the overall experience. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a solid brunch spot with good energy. Best enjoyed when you're looking for a relaxed meal, good drinks, and good company rather than a heavy, filling feast.

This place was super cute and crowded when we visited. We didn't wait long and service was fast. There is a full bar and I was tempted by some of the drink specials. No parking, but street parking was easy to access nearby. We aren't familiar with this part of town and drove here special to eat after finding it would meet our needs on a website. It looks like it would be a great place to dine on the patio in better weather. I would love to explore this neighborhood more thoroughly on my next visit. I really appreciated that they had vegan options for breakfast, The vegan basic was filling with vegan eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast. My partner enjoyed his more traditional breakfast. I like that they had many single user bathrooms. I'll probably eat here again on my next visit to this part of town. I will hope the weather is better and I can plan a walk after to walk off my food.

Looking for a dog friendly place to have brunch. Since I saw a few reviews stating their patio was dog friendly we decided to come and try. We as stated were seated on the patio and perused the menu after ordering some coffee for both of us(wifey and I). Wifey ordered the classic French toast and the turkey sausage corn dogs. I ordered the beer bacon jam Swiss burger and got waffle yam fries instead of regular fries. The outside patio was heated And had a decent amount of tables. There were high top tables as well a low top with a nice modern feel. The French toast was average, good and solid but standard. The corn dogs were a nice size not too small and not too big, they had a good ratio of batter to sausage and were pretty decent. I would get again as a snack. The burger was delicious, good ratio of veggies and sauce inside. Moist burger patty and soft bun. The waffle fries could be a bit crispier but they were overall pretty good. Just wish I had more hard ranch to dip in as I used it all halfway. Guess I could've asked for more but meh. Overall very delicious and would def go back.

Acaii bowl and the Barnyard Omelette

The restaurant is always packed on the weekends here. It's a favourite in the area. The interior is a bar like aesthetic with booths and TV's to watch sports. The acaii bowl was just okay. The omelette came with smashed potatoes and was very flavourful. Would reccomend the omelette and the French toast ( we ordered last time) was huge. The menu has a large variety of both lunch and brunch items.

Some of the dishes were good, some were just ok. Some of the items on the breakfast Charcuterie baord were a hit and some were a miss. I really wanted to love this place but it fell short of my expectations. The waitress missed a setting and we had to ask for extra napkins and missing setting twice and my sister in law's water never came dispite asking a few times. I still tipped her 20% since we were a large party and I had two little ones with us, and the waitress was nice, but just seemed a bit inexperienced. What made this place stand out was their drinks. All of the drinks we ordered, the ceasar and flights were all very good. I would recommend against ordering the Mac n cheese and recommend ordering the hash. As good as the egg Benny sounded, it was just alright. The didn't have the banana French toast available, and that was also disappointing.

So fortunate to have found this spot today. Yelp gave it great ratings and it was true. Food looked and tasted as good as the pics. My hubby ordered the Yorkshire Benny w ham. He said it was delish and the ham was a little Smokey and sweet. I ordered the eggs bacon and smashed potatoes and a sugar free vanilla latte w oat milk. It was busy but the wait wasn't long. We decided to bypass the wait and sit at the bar. I have alot of food allergies and was able to tell our servers Tai and Tess, who were so helpful and were careful to ask questions and mark my allergies so my food was prepared properly. The food was fresh, delish and a good portion. It looked small when we received it. It it was filling enough to where I couldn't eat the whole plate. Service was very good, polite friendly and attentive. Other servers were smiling and chatted a little as they approached the bar where we sat. They'd make small talk while they waited for their beverages. Overall environment was nice. Fresh clean urban type vibe. A nice outdoor patio area with heaters too. We will def come again when we're in town.

I visited this spot on a busy weekend with reservation, but still had to wait a bit. The menu offered a mix of breakfast and lunch items including chicken fingers and burgers/sandwiches, which was a bit different from what I was expecting for brunch. I was hoping for more brunch options. I tried the hash and the Benny. The hash was flavourful though a little heavy on its own; the side of toast helped balance it out. The Benny served with a pillowy Yorkshire pudding instead of the traditional English muffin or biscuit. I loved the soft texture which contrasted the crispy bacon, but the flavour didn't quite hit the mark. It felt a bit flat overall. I love potatoes and hash browns. was hoping for something a bit more exciting, but these were just okay. Not a bad spot to visit if you're in the neighbourhood. They also serve drinks which could make it fun for a casual hangout with friends. It just isn't my favourite brunch spot overall. Service was okay, nothing remarkable but we had no problems with the servers.

Hard Bean Brunch Co. has great brunch options with incredibly friendly staff. When I visited I ordered the HB tacos steak and eggs. Upon ordering, the server suggested I try it with a side of hollandaise. He was right to suggest this as it leveled up the dish. I also ordered their mimosa flight which includes 4 flavours. You are able to choose which mimosas you want to try out of their 6 options. I chose the Watermelon Sugar High, POGmosa, Margarosa, and Pina Mosa with the Watermelon Sugar High being my favourite. As odd as this sounds, Hard Bean is the winner of the 2023 Canada's Best Restroom contest hosted by Cintas Canada Ltd. So, be sure to check it out if you visit! ;)

A great location for a quick bite before heading to the breweries in Port Moody. And don't let it's name fool you, they serve so much more than just brunch! When planning for our breweries hopping in Port Moody, we were looking for a place for lunch. With very limited choices for restaurants in that area, we were happy that Hard Bean Brunch opened a location there. They have a very decent beer menu so we ordered a beer to start. I then picked the HARD BEAN CO. BOWL for lunch. It comes with roasted califlower, carrots, broccolini, brussels sprouts, quinoa, and basil crusted salmon. The fish was cooked perfectly! It's service was quick. The server can punch in your order in their tablet as you order. They also have a very nice patio with an excellent view!

Super nice waitresses, a nice heated patio, and even blankets for if you get cold outside! We requested patio seating since we had our doggo with us. They're dog friendly! Brunch was delicious. Lots of great options to satisfy your lunch or breakfast cravings. Unlimited refills for their hot coffee.

    Yorkshire Benedict with Avocado

Brunch isn't a regular thing for me outside of looking up places and pondering if I should go for a bite. Recently though I had my attention brought to Hard Bean and thought what the hell let's give it a shot. A few messages later later and I had a time set and a date arranged for brunch. My first impressions were that it's a really nice place and it definitely felt like a place you wanted to stop and sit for a meal. My second impression was that a whole lot of other people must have known this too as my wait time was initially estimated at half an hour, but ended up closer to an hour. I very much appreciated the staff acknowledging that things weren't going to plan. They let me know next steps and promptly was seated. Being able to say there's a glitch in the matrix and what they're going to do to fix things is a big plus to me, especially as they could have just said it's busy and thrown their hands up. My date and I both ordered the iced coffee. I grabbed the Yorkshire Benny with avocado, while she ordered the Barnyard Omelette. I really liked how well roasted the coffee was. It was a lot more bold than I was used to and it tasted great. Both of us were in awe at each other's plates. On my end, I loved the Yorkshire Benny. Using Yorkshire pudding as the base was terrific as it tastes a lot better than a standard English muffin base. The hollandaise sauce was superb as well and I kept using it with my smashed potatoes instead of the ketchup. Unfortunately despite the long trek out from Vancouver, it does not appear I'm getting a second date. That said, I've found a darn good brunch spot with great service and awesome food I can't wait to go back out to again. I would whole heartedly recommend stopping by if you've got the time and desire for a great brunch.

One time, I ordered the halibut. It was overcooked to the point where it had the texture of plastic. Tough, chewy, not a whisper of seasoning. Another time, I had the salmon (which is mighty pricey, I might add). The salmon wasn't fresh. The mash it came with was, again, completely unseasoned. Not even salt? Come on. What capped it though was a Caesar salad my partner ordered that came absolutely drenched in salad dressing. You couldn't even taste anything else. Just salty, cheesy, soggy stuff. The prices they charge for this are downright criminal. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Edit: Parent company, Landry's, appears to be US-based (Texas). Anyone who is choosing to #BuyCanadian needs to be aware.

The mains were brought back 5 mins later and I was still not done my salad. Said f it, and accepted the mains. Halibut and risotto both were over cooked and tbh, the plate just looked messy with no shuge to it. The seafood medley looked decent albeit the crab cake tasting a touch on the fishy side. Dessert wise, I had the cheesecake, wife had molten chocolate. I took a picture of my dessert because it was an absolute joke!!!!!. 2 hefty drinks and $225 and a shy tip. I was going to say something to the floor mngr, but didnt want to ruin the evening vibe with the wife. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE for the money spent, service wise was meh.

The donut itself is soft and fluffy, the filling is nice and creamy, and the crackly caramelized sugar on top gives you that classic crème brûlée experience. It's good, but for me, it wasn't quite the type of donut that all the hype made it out to be. The other flavours were enjoyable; I do wish they were a little more innovative. It feels like there's room to be a bit more creative with the menu. One other thing was how quickly they "sell out." Maybe they genuinely do, but it almost feels like they simply make a very limited quantity each day to create that sense of demand. The location also doesn't do them any favours. Parking is difficult, it's right along a busy road, and it's not exactly the kind of place you casually stop at. Overall, the donuts are good quality, especially the crème brûlée, but I personally don't think they're worth going out of your way for.
