Like everyone else here our paper comes inconsistent or not at all. Phone calls and emails either go to deaf ears ( lately) or we're told it's the driver and they'll look into it, but never do. They have no problem with raising our rates and we have to play the game, we'll cancel if you raise them back in forth until they finally agree to only raise them a little. Long term customers are treated as less important than new customers. In this day of online media I find it surprising they aren't trying to step up their service and instead they are letting it degrade. The Courant is totally unable to deliver its poor quality, biased paper. We have been a subscriber since 1972 and have seen the quality continually decline. With a move last year (5 miles from our former home) we have had continual problems with delivery. Papers are not delivered or delivered a day late. Despite numerous conversations with subscription services and many promises for improvement, it just kept getting worse. Only two deliveries in the past two weeks! Today we finally cancelled. We'll only get the electronic version. Funny, they will charge our credit card within 24 hours, but it will take 4-6 weeks to receive credit for the tactile version. (Great for untrained pets and bird cages!) read more

Ordered a year of Thursday to Sunday delivery with a Groupon offer. I prefer to read about local news from the paper edition as opposed to the online form. Delivery has been inconsistent with missing papers every week including Sunday edition. I called Customer Service twice and got the same excuse from the representative, which was it is a "new" carrier. If it is a morning paper then one should expect it to arrive consistently in the a.m. My N.Y. Times is never an issue. read more

Paper is being thrown in to my driveway the last few days although I do not subscribe to the Courant. I tried calling to stop delivery, and so far have wasted a good 2 hours of my time to no avail. No one answers the phone. The automated machine gets me disconnected or gives a busy signal no matter what option I choose. I was able to get someone in Middletown, but the person said she cannot help me. This is so frustrating. The Courant pushes green energy yet they are wasting trees delivering paper to someone who puts directly to the trash bin. I do not subscribe to the courant and will not read their paper. If someone at the courant reads this, please let your company work on your customer service and delivery listing. I do not want the paper accumulating in my driveway. Thank you read more

My husband ordered the Hartford Courant for a year for Sunday delivery. He will not order it again. Delivery has been sporadic. Receintly he was asked to renew his subscription and declined due to the delivery isues. They said they would speak to the delivery person....apparently it did no good as he didn't get the paper again today. If this is the way newspapers run its no wonder so many are going under. read more
