So yes I did a little stalking. Lol. ( I am very picky with my hair)Well, I decided to go and I am so very happy I did. I called to make sure I didn't need an appointment as I was going on a Saturday. Jessie answered herself and advised me I did not need an appointment but she took down my name, the time I will be arriving and advised me to ask for her when I arrive. It took a few rounds around the block to find parking especially since it's mainly metered and it's by the downtown area of Perth Amboy. When I arrived Jessie was sitting in the cashier area and was expecting me, she remembered my name. She immediately took me to the back washed my hair, asked if I felt it clean or if there was somewhere I wanted her to scrub more. We talked about her recent trip to Dubai and my trip to Europe. I felt like we knew each other for years. She did my roller set and placed me under the dryer. She also asked an employee to ask me if I wanted coffee I initially said no thank you but she insisted that I just try their coffee. Btw I am so glad I did! It taste like cinnamon! It was delicious! I am NOT kidding! The same lady also kept checking on me making sure the dryer wasn't too hot. As soon as I was dry another employee started taking off my rollers! I loved the teamwork! I honestly felt the good energy! She did a good job in my hair. Jessie and her team were extremely attentive! This was great customer service! She charged me $40 which I never paid that high the most I paid is $30 but I will definitely be back. Just have to try one more salon in the area. Lol

The shop is quite small and easy to miss if you aren't familiar with the area. Besides that, the staff is really friendly and the young woman that did my hair, Chanel, did a fabulous job! Then she botched the dye job because she didn't leave the color on long enough -- so she had to do it again. That alone wasted an hour and a half of my day. Then I had to wait even longer because she decided to straighten someone else's hair mid-appointment. Another 20 minutes gone. I paid $360 for tape-in extensions, plus $75 per bundle to install. And guess what? The extensions started falling out after just 17 hours -- not even one full day. I was told they would last 20 days. What a complete ripoff. I reached out to the salon, hoping they'd make things right. Their response? The only thing they offered was a free reinstall. Why would I let them touch my hair again after everything that went wrong? No refund, no real apology, just a weak excuse for customer service. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. I wasted time, money, and walked away feeling completely scammed.

They are very efficient and I still managed to be in and out in and hour and a half. I have natural hair so they did my blow out for 35. Its a bit more expensive than other places but I think its worth it. My sister, who has relaxed hair, goes here and her hair is always fabulous. I don't know much about how they style as I got my hair blown straight.

I found this salon on Yelp! & I thought that it would be cool based on the previous reviews. Wrong! I'm the first customer to get there. I'm not greeted with an hello or anything just a blank stare. I introduce myself and let them know that I wanted a wash & set. The lady showed me to the shampoo bowl where, while she was washing my hair, her beaded bracelet was hitting my in the eye, nose & forehead. That bothered me obviously. She continues to wash my hair and doesn't ask if I was interested in a deep conditioner which I was but it was never presented. She roll set me and showed me to the dryer. The dryer was set on Medium heat I'm guessing because it felt like cold air. When the dryer was done, she took the rollers out but I knew my hair was damp due to the low heat setting on the dryer. Nevertheless, I knew she'd blow me out next. I let her know that I like my hair with a lot of body. I hate straight, flat hair. She blew my hair out in large sections which didn't do anything. Then she went for the flatiron. I seriously hate the flatiron. Not to mention I said I wanted body. She continued and then slapped on a ton of oil. It left my hair weighed down, flat and super straight. Probably the single worst hair experience of my life. To make matters worse, my roots are thick now because my hair wasn't blown out or flatironed properly. Oh & I almost forgot. The sign on the door says that they accept cards and they have a card machine but the force you to use an ATM that they have inside the salon which charges you a $3 fee. No, thank you. Never again.
