Ok... so my friend and I stumbled into this place 100% by accident (being honest...) We were out enjoying a Saturday of day drinking in Sanford. We were intrigued by the vast variety of teas, almost overwhelmed. The guy that worked there helped educate us on the different ingredients, although would not make a recommendation. Again, in all honesty I had no idea what Kava or Kratom was so I just looking for something kind of fruity to sip on to rehydrate from our shenanigans. It was very pricey ($7 for a Dixie cup of tea). I personally didn't like it but chugged it because I wasn't throwing $7 in the garbage, BTW this place is cash only! If you are into the holistic hippie grungy tea bar the place is really chill... not for me but I can totally see my brother and sister loving this place! Employees are rude and ignorant to the medicine they sell. I came in looking for CBD concentrate, which is admittedly kind of a tough one. Let me break this down (for both the potential customer AND the staff). Concentrates are a diverse market. With CBD being legal, and delta-9 THC being illegal in concentrations higher than 0.3% without a medical card, it's difficult to make many concentrated CBD products that meet federal guidelines. With CBD products you usually end up with isolate in non-medical/recreational markets, because it's exactly what it sounds like. They ISOLATE the CBD from the other cannabinoids. What remains is a white crystalline substance (typically 99% pure CBD), which is sometimes pressed into slabs, and sometimes terpenes (the essential oils of the cannabis plant) are reintroduced in the process to add flavor, because pure CBD is fairly flavorless aside from a hint of burnt cherries on the finish. Full spectrum is also just what it sounds like, it contains the full spectrum of cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG, CBN, etc). So full spectrum is entirely out of the picture because THC is illegal, but "broad spectrum" is a title assigned to products that contain multiple, but not all, cannabinoids. Usually CBD and CBG. What they carry is isolate. No problem there. The problem is that my first time in, I asked about CBD concentrate. He didn't know what I meant by that, so I said "some people just call them dabs." The cashier pulled out a box and said "this is a full spectrum isolate, 99% CBD, it's the only one we sell" and I let him finish his spiel. I politely asked "is it isolate, or is it full spectrum?" He said "both," to which I replied "sorry man, but full spectrum isolate is an oxymoron." His response was "well that's what the manufacturer told me so I don't think they're wrong...and I doubt you know more than them" I just said "okay man, thanks for your time" and left. This is a HUGE issue. But it doesn't end here! I gave up on concentrate, because the isolate they carry is much cheaper online. But I decided to go give it another shot, and stopped in for some flower. I noticed that they purchase their CBD flower through the largest wholesaler in the US currently (which I won't specifically name in this review, as to not damage their business), but they were still selling it in packaging that directs the consumers to the company's website (which takes away from this local brick and mortar business by them overlooking that). I very casually said "hey man, you do realize that the wholesalers website is on that labeling and it's half the price on their website, right? I'd hate to see you guys go out of business over a minor oversight like that. There's no law against repackaging, have you considered that?" The guy behind the counter (different guy than last time) says "WELL, like I always say, if you don't like the price, don't buy it and get the fuck out!" I said "I was just trying to help, man, I'm a small business owner and like to help where I can, sorry if I overstepped any boundaries" and left. Needless to say, I'll never return. I gave this establishment two chances to take my hard earned money, knowing I could get better pricing online. Just to support local business. I don't mind spending more to support the local economy, but I won't give my money to people who act like that. Especially on two occasions with two different employees! Seriously, I can let the "get the fuck out if you don't like the price" thing go, in fact I ALMOST commend it, but when your employees are selling medicine without even having a rudimentary grasp on it, then try to displace blame on THE MANUFACTURER AS IF THEY DONT KNOW THEIR OWN PRODUCT, well it's just not a great look. In fact, it's pretty despicable if you ask me...but hey, fuck me right? This is an evolving market and people are becoming more educated on these matters by the day. This place treats you like a "custie" as some say, where they should be treating you like a patient. You should be able to tell them what your ailments are, and they should be able to tell you exactly what cannabinoids and terpenes will do the best job for you. Maybe my expectations are just too high because I actually know this stuff...maybe I'm being a total dick. Wait, it was the dude behind the counter that said "get the fuck out then." Nevermind, it's not me. As I'm sure you can tell by my review, this is more from a point of concern than a point of anger or discontentment. I'd love to see this business thrive, but they need to do away with their entire staff and get some knowledgeable employees who don't treat you like garbage. read more

Where do I start with how awesome this place is? I've been coming here since February 2018 and it feels like family here. It's a great place to enjoy herbal teas, enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, and try new things. Their herbal tease are diverse and myriad. If you're looking for something different and new most likely you'll find it here. The staff is knowledgeable and equally eager to try new teas and mixes. Tea enthusiast and new comers can enjoy drinking hot teas either from tea bags or my personal preferred method from the french press. Their Kava and Kratom teas are very delicious and expertly put together. They currently run weekly specials on various teas and "tosses". The also carry CBD products currently provided by a local brand known as Kono. I have used the isolate they carry which has greatly helped me with with pinched nerves in my spine. The CBD products are quality and since they are made locally in state follow the required guide lines. I would recommend them to anyone looking to try CBD. I would suggest when trying new teas and CBD products to do research and speak with a doctor to make sure these will work out for you. The environment is great and sociable. I've seen study groups come in and also have done my own studying here. Free WiFi is easily accessible and runs without a fault. I'm also guilty of using it for doing some gaming on my lap top from time to time with no hiccups. They welcome groups large or small. If you come alone and feeling chatty the staff is very knowledgeable and enjoys discussing teas and life. The regulars and costumers that come in seem to be health conscious and amazing artist. The tables are painted with chalk paint and have discovered the joy of doodling with neon chalk under black light. I would recommend The Health Buddah, not just this location but any of them, for those who want to try new things and learn new things. The world of tea is diverse as the world of any other beverage, coffee, or drink. The joy of drinking green teas, sacred blue lotus tea, Kava, and Kratom has been an enjoyable direction to dive into. The world of flavors and spirituality from getting in touch with natural herbal teas feels like a worldly adventure. I would recommend The Health Buddah to anyone wanting seeking a nice place to be their self freely in relaxing atmosphere that encourages trying new things and herbal teas in a lounge environment. While visiting Sanford I was wanting to find some Kratom, just to help ease a nasty migraine and happened upon Healthy Buddah 3. What a great find!! Ash couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful with knowledge and great suggestions. Being Happy Hour was also a sweet bonus I pretty much knew what I was looking for as far as Kratom but never being to an actual Kratom "bar" I was grateful for Ash's help and suggestions and found my strawberry/lemonade super easy to go down, added Kava w/pineapple and I could feel the migraine slipping away...
