The atmosphere is on the quiet side. It seems to demand calm energy and talking seems to be on the minimum. On Hot Beverage Week, the first week of December I tried the "white hot chocolate peppermint chai latte" and it was pretty yummy. Way more delicious then the one at SHO Coffee but it doesn't quite look like the picture on their instagram....Oh well it still filled me up nicely and it was warm and yummy enough.

Instead, it was matcha latte with syrup at the bottom, which I believe was lavender syrup. It's also topped with their coffee cloud cold foam. Regardless, it was darn good! After doing a bit of research on Google, turns out that the combination of matcha latte and lavender is supposed to resemble the taste of milk that's leftover from a bowl of fruit loops. If you're not feeling like coffee, tea or a latte, they have other drinks available including beer and wine. I thought I was coming into a coffee shop, but they actually had a lot more to offer, including pizza on their menu.

Three or four tables have power receptacles, and the staff is friendly. Everything about this place says that it should be a 5-star, daily visit, favorite. Except it's not. Don't get me wrong. I find myself going there more and more. It is just somehow less relaxing than a starbucks. On fire. I can't pick just what it is. The inconsistent décor, the stripmall flooring, or utilitarian seating arrangement. It just lacks character. It's a fine enough place. And I really would suggest it to anybody. I really do like it. Over the course of a few days in Winnipeg, I was here more than once and got multiple drinks both times and left with two bags of beans, for myself and a friend. What more do you need to know?
