Instead of separate entrées we ordered absolutely everything from the appetizer menu, and our favorites were the UMAMI BRUSSELS SPROUTS, the SPICY TUNA & CRISPY RICE and the GRILLED & CHILLED SHRIMP and the SHORT RIB POTSTICKERS!!! I was a bit hesitant to come here after hearing a few negative reviews from acquaintances, but I'm so glad we decided to try it for ourselves.The aesthetic and overall vibe are top-tier--beautiful decor, fantastic seating options ranging from casual bar spots and cozy booths to proper dining tables and a lively patio. It's also worth noting the space is impeccably clean, right down to the bathrooms, and they even have a cute little coffee counter built into the restaurant. A quick tip on parking: self-parking in the area can be quite limited, though you might find a spot depending on the time and day you go. Fortunately, they offer complimentary valet parking, which makes arriving totally hassle-free! The only minor drawback inside is that it can get a tad loud when it fills up, but the energy and quality more than make up for it.The service was prompt, attentive, and warm throughout our meal. Now, for the food--you have to order these: ~Short Rib Potstickers: An absolute must-try! Fun fact: they actually have a staff member whose sole daily job is making these by hand. This place has always been on my list to go to. I like the ambiance of the restaurant as it feels classy, I would definitely come here dressing a bit more dressy/business casual. The menu has a decent amount of gluten free items but it looks like the website menu had a lot more items than the menu that was presented to us. We ordered the short rib wonton (not Gluten Free) and the Korean Beef Skirt w. Double Egg Fried Rice (Gluten Free). Both dishes were decent as I was expecting the wonton to be more filling but it was more flat. The Korean Beef Skirt was good but the price margin for what you get is honestly not worth it to me. First time in Houston... While visiting a friend and just landed we decided to grab lunch here. It just opened she told me, but we both were excited to try this restaurant. It looked gorgeous inside since it was too hot to sit outside. We both ordered a few glasses of wine and a salad. It took awhile for our drinks to arrive. It felt like forever. Went to lunch with my brother and parents on Thursday July 2. The parking is limited but they do have the option to valet, really the only easy way to park. The restaurant smelled really strong of Brussels sprouts, which wasn't great even though I like Brussels sprouts. The unsweet tea was premixed with passion fruit which I don't care for. Tried the crab cake for an appetizer that was really good, the lemon remoulade sauce was great and the top of the cake was crispy. Tried the pretzel bites which were nothing special. I had the wagyu burger and it was nothing special, I asked for it medium but it was more medium well, didn't like how they prepared the onions on it. Had a side of the rice and it had too much going on for me to enjoy, I think it even had mushrooms. My brother really enjoyed the hot chicken sandwich so give that a try. The parking is awful but they do offer valet which is extremely helpful. I honestly wouldn't even be able to find parking if it weren't for valet. You can do reservations here. It's business casual and the vibes match that. They have outdoor seating and a bar that wraps from inside to outside. The service was not it. It takes them awhile to get your order and to check on you. They do have pretty good drinks I really enjoyed the pomegranate spritz. They also have different menus for lunch and breakfast. I tried the chicken Fritas which is basically maybe an oven roasted chicken thigh with truffle fries. I actually thought the prices here were a bit overpriced for the taste. Upon walking in, the place was packed with individuals, couples and families. I love the option to sit at a bar or booth, also outside. You can sit at the bar outside or inside. The versatility was great. The uniforms and decor was my type of style! My aesthetic completely. Service was great, I feel Like the staff overall were attentive. Food: I was not a fan, no flavor and my friends turkey lunchmeat was really no bueno. I wish they had more options other than pork and turkey lunch meat at brunch this is really not ideal. No pancakes or waffles only French toast. I feel like this place is for a light bite, with friends or maybe dinner. Not a great spot for brunch unless you are opting for a salad. My drink was beautiful and just ok taste wise. Location is great as you can walk over to shop at Gap, Ulta. A big No for me, was the unwrapped straws!!! I noticed when they serve you water or any drink they have already placed the straw in the drink. Feedback: it's unrealistic for servers to wash their hands after each table, therefore if they are disposing of used cups plates by customers and then they proceed to grab a straw and insert it into my cup. The Henry delivers a fantastic dining experience without completely breaking the bank. Granted there are certainly items that do but it's nice to have the flexibility to decided what makes sense for the occasion. Everything's feels extremely high end. The kitchen is spotless and the food is prepared with pride and high expectations. This restaurant has not been open long so it's still going through its hype phase. For that reason I would highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Valet service is available and encouraged to manage the flow of people. My only criticism is the restaurant can get quite loud especially during peak hours. Fortunately, they're aware of this and have been brainstorming solutions to implement in the future. Whether you are coming for a special occasion or enjoying a regular day out The Henry can facilitate what you're looking for. My family had dinner here last weekend. It is very close to our house, so was hoping this could be one of our go-to restaurants. Visually, the restaurant is very nice. Opened less than 3 months ago, so everything is new and elegantly decorated. I would describe as rustic, chic. One issue we noticed immediately was the noise level. We went for an early dinner so the restaurant was less than 20% full. That said, I remarked how loud it seemed. Looking around, it seemed that the noise from the hostess stand and bar area was carrying very loudly through the entire restaurant. I can't imagine how loud it would be if it were close to full capacity. The service was spotty. Before we ordered all the food, we were checked on very frequently. Once the food arrived, the check-in's all but disappeared. Again, they were not very busy and there seemed to be a lot of servers available just loitering about. I gave the restaurant 3 stars because of the decor. Unfortunately, if the rating were based only on the food, I would have given it 2 stars. The menu is pretty limited (less than 10 entree choices) and not focused. Appetizers range from Asian to Mexican to traditional American. I'm not sure what they're going for here. Maybe it's meant to be a seasonal menu that changes periodically? For a "neighborhood" restaurant, I would tire of the choice fairly quickly. We had: Pretzels and cheese dip (2/5) - Start of a common theme but the pretzels came out barely warm. Seemed like they took something that was cold and re-heated but not to the proper level. The cheese dip was a queso that was pretty good. Pretty pricey ($18) for what this is. Guacamole (2/5) - Not a good version of guac. My wife said it looked and tasted like it was not freshly made. The chips were good and crispy. Braised Short-Rib (3/5) - Okay version of this dish, nothing too special about it. Again, did not come out very hot. Burger (2.5/5) - The burger itself was okay but nothing special. The meat patty was pretty think (the pickle slices were thicker than the meat to put it in perspective). Again, the burger did not come out hot. The french fries that came out on the side did not seem like they came out of a frier. Not hot and seemed like cold fries that were heated maybe in an air-frier??? Just a guess given how lukewarm the food temperature was. Pretzel & provolone fondue - wow these pretzels were quite surprising. We really enjoyed how soft and fluffy these were Spicy tuna & crispy rice - this was soooo good. I would without missing a beat get this again. Amazing, and so so flavorful. Korean prime skirt steak - We were hesitant on this but wow this was also amazing and flavorful. Sweet with a nice kick of spice to the steak, laid on top of double egg fried rice, snap peas and bok choy. Very worth it in our opinion despite it being one of the pricest on the menu. California - made into a omelet. Im generally not a omelett person but this came out very good and well balanced. Ingredients all tasted very fresh. The breakfast potatos were crispy which I loved. Salsa really complimented this omelet. Tortillas soup (not pictured) - family member had this as a entree. Only complaint was it was very Luke warm when it came out. Im assuming they made this first as it was a "appetizer" dish when we wanted it as a entree but waited for all the other dishes to be complete before bringing it out All American burger (not pictured) - okay from family members review. The Henry is currently owned by the same parent company that owns The Cheesecake Factory, so let's start there. I, personally for one, will never jump out of my chair and yell, ooooo! Cheesecake Factory and nor do I ever crave something just because it's from there. Their menu is TOO expansive and they've definitely lost their mojo or sparkle over the years. Menu changes, service becoming inconsistent, and the quality just isn't there anymore. Fast forward, they acquired Fox Restaurant concepts which was the original owner of the Henry. Naturally, I had very low expectations going in. This place is new. I get it, they've gotta work out their kinks, but I wasn't impressed by their service or their food for the price I paid, the ambiance, and the overall experience. If you're a newly opened restaurant and there's not a clear vision of what type of cuisine you serve, it's helpful to let your patrons know what's special, what popular, and entice or convince them of a dish to try! Where's the effort these days? No effort was made. This place is dark and moody and may trick you into sitting at the bar and having a cocktail, but comparable to competition, their cocktail menu was weak. Nothing stood out and everything was MEH. I tried their Riesling and it tasted funky. So don't order it, I'd opt for the Pinot Grigio! It was better but not great. My sister ordered a red Pinot noir (Fox something...) Our server was Ira? Can't remember his name, but just did the bare minimum. We ordered the spicy tuna and crispy rice, the braised short rib and the double fried rice with egg. Spicy tuna and crispy rice: the whole menu is skeptical and doesn't seem cohesive. I'm always skeptical to try Asian dishes at an American restaurant. Presentation was sloppy, and not evenly plated. We specifically asked for cilantro ON THE SIDE, but it was garnished, which means the server didn't relay to the kitchen our request... TBH, I've had better. And the crispy rice was thick and only the edges were slightly crispy. More of a mochi texture rather than a crispy crunch. Braised short rib: ehhh...it was okay, for the price we paid. It's safe. Nothing special... one piece was fatty and a little dry... Spicy double egg fried rice: don't be bamboozled. This is not anything close to fine dining, and you don't truly get "double egg." It's scrambled into the rice so you can't even really tell if you got two eggs. If I could make a suggestion, add two fried eggs sunny side up or over easy and let the customer mix it into the fried rice. The fried rice tasted like something you get at a hole in the wall, quality was not there and it felt like something that belonged in Chinatown. Overall, the name "The Henry" may lure you into thinking that it's fancy, but it truly fell short of its name. The restaurant was not built with acoustic treatment or design so its very noisy and you can't really hear each other in conversation. Finally got the Henry experience. I've been interested in this place prior to being open to the public: 11/12/25 Had a meet and greet here at 9:30am. They have a small breakfast menu. My table guest had a mimosa and ordered the avocado toast, which he was informed that the did not have all the ingredients for the ordered, so they settle for the egg, bacon breakfast sandwich, with potatoes. And pretty avocados I ordered the 2 egg breakfast plate, came with crispy bacon & potatoes -1 (that also came with burnt onion, which had a burnt taste), nice toasty toast (that had a burnt flavor as well), and freshly squeezed OJ, which was great, had little to no pulp in it. -2 Our thoughts were, why didn't they have the ingredients of the avocado toast, but served toast and avocados ??? Please let me know what ingredient was missing when you had the one and the two? (Side note: if you care to read)::::::::: I was told that you place & pay your order at the counter prior to sitting and collecting. But because we arrived at separate times, we ordered from the table. I'll start by saying the 4 stars is not for the food. The service is what gave it a 4, otherwise it would have been an easy 3 or even 2. The ambiance itself feels like a good first date but the music was too loud to hear one another. Here are items I've tried. * Short rib potstickers- the filing was fine & nothing special. There was also not enough meat. The sauce really helped the dumplings taste batter. 19 dollars for 5 potstickers is crazy work. 2.5/5 * Tangerine spritz- this is what I ordered and it was a mocktail. The drink grew on me after a few sips but I was expecting for it to have some watermelon favor, all I tasted was tangerine. 3/5 * Double egg fried rice- had a little heat to it and a sweet aftertaste. Rice was fluffy and cooked nicely but it wasn't that good. Maybe if they topped it off with a sunny side egg it would've made it better. 2.5/5 * Chicken frites- roasted chicken that had absolutely no flavor and rely on this weird sweet sauce to give it some sort of flavor. Even the skin was bland. The truffle fries were a little overcooked but flavors were good. 2/5 * Sea-bass- was told that the fish will be cooked well done which I'm not a fan of. The fish itself wasn't dry but it wasn't moist either. Also are they allergic to seasoning. $39 bucks for this dish is crazy. 2.5/5 * Bolognese- I actually enjoyed this dish and I'm glad I ordered it. The meat sauce was delicious & actually seasoned. It's not your traditional bolognese since the pasta was extremely cheesy accompanied by some strong ricotta cheese. The meat sauce was rich and hearty. I asked for extra meat and for an extra 7 dollars they could have added more. 4/5 * Molten butter cake- delicious. Fluffy, soft and not overly too sweet. Caramel was good as well. I know their vanilla bean ice cream isn't made in house but it was good in quality. 4.5/5 Overall, 3 stars for the food. I wasn't impressed but I wasn't disappointed either. The quality of their dishes did not match the price tag. I will however give them another chance since the service was exceptional, so y'all thank her for that. The vibe feels upscale. Our waitress was amazing and parking wasn't too bad on a weekday evening. As for the food itself, I'd say it was mostly okay. Short rib potstickers: good. I'm used to potstickers with multiple ingredients inside. This mainly has short rib, which is a good thing but glad we shared because it felt a little one note. Brussel sprouts: pretty standard. Just a little too salty. Double fried rice: none of us really liked it at the table so I wouldn't recommend. Harvest bowl: really enjoyed it. Had lots of good healthy bits. The Henry just opened about three weeks ago. We stumbled upon this elegant, gorgeous gem while searching for a new spot for Sunday brunch. We honestly couldn't have gotten luckier. Y'all... when I tell you this place exudes attention to detail in every sense of the word, I mean everything: the stunning ceiling tiles, the classy holiday décor, the extensive dual indoor/outdoor bar, a separate coffee shop offering smoothies and pastries, plus a private conference/dining room. And let's not forget the beautiful and friendly staff that take your experience to another level. I was greeted by the hostesses with the mostest, who gave me the warmest introduction to "The Henry." They immediately made sure I was taken care of; asking if I already had a table and making me feel genuinely welcomed from the moment I stepped in. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous, and I can easily see this place being packed on the regular as more people discover it. They also offer breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays, which is such a great bonus. My husband and I ordered the Scottish Salmon and the Korean Prime Skirt Steak... and if Yelp would allow emojis, this line would be full of them. Both dishes were incredible--perfect temperature, perfect flavor, simply to die for. Our waitress, Adriana, was wonderful--attentive, friendly, and consistently making sure we had everything we needed. Tried it a few times to make sure my review wasn't just based on a one off. For a neighbourhood restaurant, the prices are very hefty, and then you also have to contend with valet. During the soft opening they did not allow people to dine in because it was for "VIPs" only. On grand opening night (with reservations) they forgot to offer water. Then they claimed to have a full bar but could not make a vesper. The Brussels sprouts were crispy but bitter. They did it twice for us, and there was no saving it. The salmon and caviar appetiser was quite salty, as were the potatoes with the filet mignon. The cook on the filet was done as requested, and the braised short rib dish was good too. We did have to ask for a steak knife for our steak...attention to details are missing for a grand opening night, so what did you guys do during soft opening? Then we came for breakfast, and for a salmon lox bagel, it cost $20. Crazy work! Had to wait 20 minutes for it, and when it finally came out, they gave it to someone else. There was no apology or offer of a refund. By the time my order came out, it was another 20 minutes (the place was not busy at all), my bagel was not toasted, had barely any smear, and I had requested the tomato to be left out and it wasn't. Oh and the berries looked sad. The third time, and fourth time we came by, the service was excruciatingly slow...and they ran out of one of our ordered items. So, at least on the aesthetic end, there's nothing that sets The Henry apart. My mom ordered The Rocket--"it would be better if it were hot. The avocado toast was "really delightful--a perfect thickness to not be soggy and was delicious." While wasabi would improve their two sushi dishes, both were good, but indistinguishable in flavor. The texture of the yellowtail was the winner as the "crispy" rice was more gummy than crispy. The waitstaff is excellent. read more

This was a Father's Day selection. Last time I was at The Henry I ordered the Sea Bass and knew exactly what I was going in to ordered. Had a mimosa, spicy margarita and lunch company had the old fashioned. All of the drinks we excellent as usual. Our waiter was excellent and gave great suggestions. What a treat! This brunch spot was amazing! We requested off-the-menu cranberry mimosas & they obliged. Yay! We started with and absolutely loved the pretzels and provolone fondue! The pretzel balls were warm and delicious and the fondue cheese was so creamy. A perfect starter! I thoroughly enjoyed my ham & cheese quiche and my husband loved his cinnamon sugar French toast! The food was pretty good, the drinks were better and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. S/O to Ian who took care of our table on a rainy day, and the staff who ensured the floors were not wet. I'd like to return to try HH, being mindslful that parking is tight in the back of the building but I did notice a Valet stand, too bad there was no one standing there. A friend recommended this place and I'm so glad they did! There's outdoor seating and a very large indoor space. The bar is HUGE, with seating both inside and outside. I came on a Friday night around 7 and the place was kicking. They offer valet, but I was able to find parking in their lot, you just have to circle a bit during prime hours. We mainly came for drinks, but we did order a side of mac and cheese and the jumbo lump crab cake. Both were absolutely mouthwatering and definitely made me want to come back for a full dinner. The bartenders were attentive and very friendly, which really added to the experience. The vibe was great as people were dressed up and dressed down, so it felt welcoming and not stuffy. I didn't even realize it was a chain until later, which says a lot. It's a really nice place, and I can't wait until the Galleria location (closer to me!) opens. read more

I came here for dinner with a friend on a random Wednesday in early January, and it was surprisingly packed. It was good we had a reservation. The atmosphere here feels really nice and unlike anywhere in this area...I felt like I was going out to eat inside the loop. There was valet, but I was able to snag an open spot behind the restaurant--I'm not a fan of valet. I ordered the roasted chicken frites, and my friend had the crab cake. We also tried the molten butter cake for dessert. The chicken was decent--not the juiciest for the price ($28). The fries were also okay to me--they're on the thinner side and possibly hand cut. My friend really enjoyed the crab cake, as it was her second visit trying it. She also recommended the Scottish salmon. The butter cake was a bit of a disappointment--I expected it to have a nice molten interior, but no. Maybe the molten part is just the sauce on the outside? My sangria was also okay. My friend had the smoked pineapple margarita and ordered it extra spicy, but said it was not very spicy. I think at this price point, I expect a little more than okay--I am honestly at a loss to describe these items with different adjectives. If I had to choose between this restaurant concept and North Italia (since they are from the same group), I would pick North Italia. The food is a lot more memorable. Would I come back? Probably, but I would definitely look into different menu items. read more

I decided to give this place a second chance and went for breakfast with a friend. We each ordered coffee and the yogurt parfait. The yogurt did not taste very good to us. Their coffee is ok. In the morning for breakfast it was self serve. Therefore, you order at the bar and they bring you your food but water/napkins/cutlery you have to get yourself. The ambiance however is adorable and I wish the inside of my home looked like it. read more
