We were accompanied by Tucker, the winery's resident canine cutie. When it was our turn to taste, we loved all four offerings: Quotidian White (blend), Quotidian Red (Meritage), 2006 Meleau White (Port) and 2006 Meleau Red (Port). Admission is always free, but you do have to pay for parking on weekdays. The building itself is designed by IM Pei and is meant to let visitors experience art and also view the natural surroundings, as there's several floors from which you can get great views of Cayuga Lake and the Cornell University campus. While it doesn't compare to world class art museums, it's perfect for a college/university art museum with a diverse collection of paintings and ancient artifacts. The lobby is a wonderful gathering place with plenty of space to sit and open windows to admire the views. It's the perfect way to kill some time, so recommend a visit to art lovers visiting Cornell University or those needing a rainy day activity while visiting Ithaca.

There is a section specifically for little, which they loved! The water table and the pet/vet section especially. In the "big kid" sections our 3 year old loved seeing all the fish and lizards, the little penny black hole and the vacuum tubes with the Pom-poms. Even the outdoor area was a blast! So many cute and clever ways for kids to learn and play. We had the hardest time getting him to leave. I ended up convincing him we could get a stuffy at their gift shop to take with us. Never thought I'd buy a stuffed white blood cell, but here we are! Again, super cool! Lastly, the staff was all so pleasant and nice, which is always extra appreciated in a kid-centered place.

On the other hand, it's the size of a post stamp. It is a beautiful building and all the exhibits have impeccable designing, but don't expect this experience to take more than an hour at most. I stopped to read every single placard and it took me roughly forty five minutes to get through everything. I can see this place being understimulating for the average kid, but at least my kid loved it because he loves fossils and sea shells. I am very appreciative of the work they do here to keep history alive, I just wish there was a bit more to it.

Clever creative colorful artwork. A lot of talent. A good dose of whimsy. An amazing visualization of population-growth in cities around the world, represented by glass shapes hanging over a map. Like a 3-D NyTimes infographic! A floor-to-ceiling rainbow window making a rainbow room! Etched glass. Blown glass. Sculpted glass. Hours of shapes and colors we are still dreaming about :-)

The theater shows are... okay. Our kids weren't that impressed. If included in your ticket price (ours were, via the Groupon) it's fun to see, but I wouldn't pay extra for them. There is a lot of hands-on / interactive activities, which was well-received. However there is still a lot of empty floor space, which seems it could benefit from more exhibits or interactive displays. Maybe one day. Overall, if passing through, or visiting Syracuse, it's a great place to pass at least half a day (with kids; without kids it's not that interesting).

There are a lot of informative and interactive areas, including exhibits on memory, energy, plate tectonics, Earth science, the geodynamo, chip chemistry, and the Micron memory megafab. I especially liked that the museum had enough depth for adults to actually learn something, while still being very kid-friendly with hands-on displays and play areas for younger children. My only small gripe is that a few of the exhibits and interactive devices felt older or worn, and some were not fully functional during our visit. Given the age of the museum and how much hands-on use these exhibits probably get from younger visitors, it is understandable. Hopefully they continue repairing and refreshing them, because the museum itself is definitely worth supporting and revisiting. The building itself is also pretty cool, with a historic exterior and a spacious multi-level layout inside. Overall, this is a great educational stop for families, kids, and adults who enjoy science, technology, and learning something new. Highly recommended.

There's is so much packed into this big, dark block of a building, its amazing. There is a one hour movie that really is a well made, must see...preferably before exploring the exhibition. Curtiss was involved in so many different things during stages in his relatively short life, and the museum gives substantial display area to each and all of his interests.
