First time ordering paint on homedepot.com and experience that the color was chosen for me. After sampling on the side of my house, turns out the color was not what I expected it to be. I came to the Albuquerque Home Depot on Eubank and Luis was the one who I came into contact with. He was thorough about what had occurred and what had happened he explained to me that online sometimes does things differently. I drove 2 1/2 hours which is the nearest Home Depot and instead of turning me away and having me come back on a Monday he resolved my issue with the right color that I wanted. This is the service I expect from Home Depot as a pro member. Thank you very much Luis for hearing me out and understanding that again I did not choose that color because I would not be wasting my time or yours. Way too dark, especially in the summer, which will absorb the heat. When you shop at this Home Depot store and you're in the paint department look for Luis and ask for him by name he'll get you squared away and you'll feel like he was listening as he's doing his job. Arrived for rental pick up it was very slow and there are steps to pick up any rental equipment wether it's in person nor online.The rental we picked up is a mini skid steer. The rental department needs extra help and the workers did their best with customers. Returning the equipment took longer as the staff had issues with the jack and he was the only one on duty. read more

I purchased a dishwasher paid for it and the $240 installation. I was given a date and told to check my email for the delivery time. No email. I call Lowes and was told I needed to pick it up from the store that the $240 only includes installation. WTF? No wonder they have a low rating. I have had good experiences in the past but it will all depend on who you speak to and what their product knowledge and customer service is like. So really disappointed. I'd give this location 0 stars if I could. Where should I start with this absolute mess. They employees are so lazy and will actively walk the other direction if they see you coming to ask for help. They have a habit of putting items in a spot that has a lower price and when you get up to the front to pay, it's double the price that you saw. This has now happened to me quite a few times now. I paid almost $400 today for supplies for my garden (bricks, top sou, compost, etc) and I had 3 flatbeds full of stuff. I'm 62 years old and guess what? I had to load every bit of it onto my flatbed and then into my vehicle while 3 employees stood at the front garden gates, talking and watching me. There were other customers asking if I needed help before the employees did, what does that say about you staff? When you do manage to talk to someone about a problem you have, they either blow off or act dumb and/or confused about what you're talking about. I asked about cement and the employee looked at me like he didn't know what cement was. I've never had a problem like this at Lowe's. The employees at Lowe's are very knowledgeable and very happy and willing to help. Stay far away from Home Depot, not just this location but as a franchise. I went in to get the big items to renovate an apartment kitchen: cabinets, backsplash tile, and floor tile. And, include all the stuff necessary for the job. It was a 1700.00 Oder. I paid extra for delivery, extra for carrying everything inside, extra for a specific four hour delivery, and an extra charge per item 'cause there were several items in the order. Set up the first delivery for between 6am -10am. I went down to the apartment, was there by 5:30. At 8:30, I call to check the status. The AI man told me the order was there, waiting for me to pick it up!!!! Went to Vickie's desk, the woman who created the final version of the order. She looked it up. My name was on the order, she referred to me as Mandy and Maddy and Millie. She couldn't fix it then, would fix it tomorrow and give me a call. Tomorrow, I didn't get any call from Vickie. I went back to Home Depot. Waited over an hour to see her. Again, I was Maddie and Mandy and Millie. Again, she couldn't be bothered to look at my name on the order. She assured me my order will be arriving tomorrow morning at my 6 - 10 window. I went down early the next morning. I get a text around 8:45. My order will not be delivered today, please call to reschedule. Again, I went down to Home Depot. They had the nerve to ask me the reason why the items weren't delivered. Again, the store assured me the items would be delivered the next day. NO, AGAIN THEY WERE NOT!!!! Once again, I get a text telling me to reschedule. Rich, whom I had worked with in flooring said he would see about getting the order out to me. I was at Discount Tires getting some new tires. Just before my car is being driven into the garage, I get a call from Rich to get down to the apartment. The order is waiting. I get my car back, without having the new ones put on, and drive across town to the apartment. YIPPEE!!!!! A truck is there. The cabinets are not on the order. I call Rich. At least he calls me by my name. He says he will get back to me. I'm at Discount Tires, and they are nice enough to fit me in . I call Rich back. Delivery people are out to lunch. They will be back by 12. They will call you while they are on their way. At 12:40, I get a call from Rueben asking me if I still want the cabinets delivered. I said, I have a dr. appointment and was expecting to be called soon after 12. I asked if the cabinets had been loaded on the truck. I knew they hadn't, if he's asking if I'm going to be picking them up. He said, "Yes, they're on the truck." I go down to the apartment. Home Depot is about 5 miles away in a very straight shot from the apartment. The truck took over an hour. Home Depot's location is very convenient for me so I go there quite often. Anytime I am there, there are employees everywhere and are willing to help if they are not busy with another customer. Went there to do a propane exchange. I grabbed a cart put my empty propane bottle into it and went inside to pay for the exchange. I got in line, which was long, and I waited patiently. Apparently this store does not honor a military veteran discount, I have my VA card on hand for quick reference. I assumed it was just the one woman working the register, but apparently it's the stores policy as told by customer service. This was a first for me. The other Home Depot stores in Albuquerque are proactive at discounting veterans, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, Harbor freight, they honor and proactively ask for military discounts. Apparently if you receive a military discount at this particular store, it's the nice people they're rebelling against store policy. I I gotta say this hurts when I found this out! read more

We went in to reserve two lifts to lift a beam because we were told over the phone that we couldn't reserve online. The guy said to just come in the next morning and took no reservation. When we got there a different person said one of them was broken! What a waste of time. Reviewing a big box store is akin to reviewing a fast food restaurant in my opinion. They're all the same, all ran by corporations and set up as identical as possible in order to be consistent to customers who may frequent different locations. That makes sense from a customer satisfaction perspective to me. So, what type of review would persuade someone to actually go here, or not? I'm at a loss; however, when comparing Home Depot to their arch nemesis in blue, I really think these guys do so much more in the customer service area. Once upon a time when shopping at said competitor, two employees were just standing there shootin' the breeze while my 95-pound wife and I were loading a slew of lumber onto a cart. You'd think they'd see that and instantly lend a hand. I know they saw us, but did they lend a hand? Not even a finger! It was pathetic! It was offensive! Based on that one instance alone I'll never go back to that other joint in blue. However, Home Depot does other things to endear themselves to customers. I believe they still conduct Saturday morning workshops where you and your kid show up to build birdhouses and so on. The kid gets a free apron and a little pin for each project he/she completes. Attempted to order a new garage door opener I was assured it was shipped. Tried to track order 4 days later Home Depot (HD) site they could not find the order. Finally did a chat with HD they didn't know why there was no activity with my order and would turn it over to their "Resolution Team" ( what joke). Finally spoke to a human he found out the item was out of stock however he would take my email address and they would let me know when it's available and I could "Reorder" the opener. I asked how long would it be, they could not answer. I said forget it give me my money back. They said it would take 3 to 5 days to credit my card. What angers me is they assured me it would be delivered on Friday I had an installer scheduled for Tuesday and all they said was, sorry. I placed an order on the app for curbside pickup around 1 pm, and didn't go to the store until a little after 7 pm. The curbside service ends at 6 pm (which was not posted on the signs at the pickup stations, nor on the app or confirmation email saying it was ready for pickup). I went inside to get my 2 items (a belt for my cooler and a ladder), they only had picked out the easiest item to get which was the belt! I basically had to go with an employee to retrieve it, because it was on a top shelf so they needed the fork lift. They had 5-6 hours to do this before I even arrived and if I was going to have to come in to get my items myself basically, it would have been a lot easier because the people at the pickup counter work at a snails pace and are useless. Why offer the pickup service if you aren't going to have the orders ready?! They weren't even apologetic, I told one girl as I was walking out that I placed the order at 1 and they dropped the ball and all she did was look down and act like she was ignoring me. In this case I needed to go to H.D.'s main competitor - the one that begins with an "L". After wandering through that first store for 45 minutes I finally found someone in a store uniform. He wasn't interested in getting a forklift to bring down the lumber I needed. He actually suggested I go over to Home Depot. Guess what!!! I did just that. Guess what else! I don't care what that other store has to offer. I will never go back - not even with a gift card. Anyway, I got to Home Depot and encountered not one, not two but many store associates who were willing to help. Although the lumber I needed was at a reachable level, I'm confident that if I needed to have something brought down, it would have happened. This place is worse than the IRS when it comes to help. If you're lucky enough to find someone in an orange apron their standard reply is "we're out". The website will tell you they have 10 in the local store but when you find the bin it's empty. They maybe a box full on the top shelf but no one is going to make an effort to get it. The lumber section is an embarrassment: bent, broken, bowed, rotten, knotted, moldy and trashed. If you're planning to cart your purchase to one of the few cashiers grab the cart in the parking lot before you come in, all the carts are in the lot. I think some of those carts have been sitting out there for years. I think because they know they are the only game in this part of town they don't have to try. Ordered a gas appliance there and there is no connection for it in my home, simple mistake right? NOPE!!!! They "Home Depot" have a 48 hour damage return policy, but once you sign for that big ticket item they will not return or exchange it . However, I called several times to the location that is actually closest to my home and the managers there were willing to work with me, but the dismissive and inflexible nature of the poorly managed team at the Eubank location flat out said, you signed for it, it became yours, that's our policy. Do not be in a position where you have an expensive appliance and there is nothing that can be done, please read thoroughly, ensure the right zip code so that the Eubank store is not the home store, otherwise prepare for good unprofessionalism and dismissiveness. I don't normally go to the Home Depot because of past bad experiences. Now with a platform to express, my latest encounter, I am free to express how much disdain I have for Home Depot. Yesterday, I went to pick up Sheetrock and other essentials to repair a rental. A few days before, I tried to order said items online for curbside pickup. Each item was identified as being out of stock. Well, the items WERE in stock! There were some broken sheets and I wanted the bundle at the bottom but wanted to make sure I could move stuff, so as to not piss off any employees. I met with two employees that I was clearly interrupting their day and coffee by asking them a question. After moving the sheets and then going to the paint, there was no one at the counter. I waited and asked employees walking by if they could help. I was informed they would get the person for that area. So I kept waiting and then went to the front of the store where in the big booth, there were a few (bunch) of employees shooting the bull (including the ones I asked for help) and as I stood there, I must have found the ability to be invisible. With all that said, I left my Sheetrock and left the store! I drove the extra miles and took the extra time to go to Lowe's and wouldn't you know, I had employees help me, loaded the Sheetrock and I got the paint I needed. I was there less than 20 minutes. If there was less than one star, Home Deport still wouldn't deserve it! HD, you've lost my business for good! read more

I ordered three beadboard panels for curbside pickup at store number #3501. After driving 30 miles and waiting 30 minutes, one panel came out to the vehicle. When I went inside to find out what happened, I was told that Home Depot had canceled 2 of the panels - no notification of any kind - and all they had was one, which is of course useless for a project requiring three panels. They had already "released" the panel to me, so I had to return it for a refund. At no time did anyone offer to find a similar product, check other stores for availability, or make any effort whatsoever to further address the situation. We went to a nearby restaurant and I got on the customer service chat, served by Krys, who told me there were 78 panels of a similar product at that store for $0.20 less. Krys sent me a secure order form. However, by the time I had time to fill it out, the form had become unavailable - and so, mysteriously, had the product. I again contacted customer service via chat, served by Jermain. It took two hours to get things resolved; at one point, I took a half-mile walk, cooked and ate breakfast, and freed a mouse from a glue trap between responses. I will now have to go to a different store - increasing the round-trip distance from 60 to 80 miles for the SECOND drive into Albuquerque - one that could have been avoided if the in-store service had been - well, service, to be blunt. There is no way other than telephone to lodge a complaint with Home Depot, so they can read about it here. This is my last store pickup order with the Home Depot, and from now on I'll be stopping at Lowe's first for in-store purposes. read more
