I made a return and the customer service representative was Itzel. Right off the bat she seemed perturbed that we were there. I had my wife's credit card with the product.. she immediately began scanning the items that I was returning, and told me in a rude voice that none of these were purchased using the card I had scanned. I told her that I just purchased these the day before using this credit card and I was legitimately confused why I wouldn't show up, granted I did not have my paper receipt. I asked her if I could just get cash back then and she was genuinely rude and said absolutely not! And told me that there is a slight possibility I could maybe get Store credit but she wasn't even sure if that could happen. Thank God, my son found the receipt in the car and we brought it in and the return was made. I truly am grateful to be a customer of Apple Valley Home Depot. It's nice as a contractor to walk through the door, ask for help and actually receive it. I have shopped here as my number one store for many years. Today I spent an hour and a half searching for specific items. No one asked if I needed help. Employees were all hanging in groups, laughing and doing nothing. I went to paint dept to get can of spray paint. One man in paint helping a man then there were two other people there so I got on line. Guy finished with one man then instead of helping Asian lady that was there for awhile the man help the guy that just walked up. Asian lady said "You see me standing here for so long, I am next. Then he went back and forth with man and woman. I asked if there was anyone that can open the spray paint case and he said "You'll have to wait" and I said ok. I stood there for about 35 minutes and he was still not done with other customers. Black lady walks up to him "Can someone get some spray paint out for me". He dropped what he was doing and went to open the case for her. The others all looked at me in disbelief he just did that. The employee was black and so was the lady. I am white and he told me I had to wait. This store and its employees have turned to crap. I will now go across the street to Lowe's where I was nicely helped and out of the busy store quickly. The employee, Lowell, took the time to help me select the right Moen shower lever handle replacement. He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Also, as soon as I left he didn't run off, but he asked another customer nearby if he needed some help. This level of customer service support was so gratifying to see in a retail store. The first deliver said they couldn't install the refrigerator needed a shut off there was 3 shut off valve under the sink. Needed a peace of bead board asked the girl at the desk to call someone supposed we did first day waited a half hour and walked out second day we finally got her to do something(Had to call the store from inside the store) but she acted like we were entirely inconveniencing her. Next we go to the cutting area wait 20 mins no one so I call again from inside the store I get an Oh someone will be there but no one ever shows I call again and tell the person Id like to invite the store manager to wait with us in the cutting area. Finally a young black guy with an afro and a grey "Ron Mead Jr Construction" sweatshirt comes up and asks what we need help with I keep pointing to the board I guess he cant see so I shake it on the cart and he says "Are you ok dude?" I explained weve been waiting for this and to get it cut he smiles and starts giggling saying "Saw's broken" I call one last time and finally talk to a manager she does do much but come up with excuses for the wait time and false apologies. Thinking about doing a flooring install? Stay far, FAR away from here. Use your local flooring business instead. Will Home Depot save you a few dollars? Sure. Will HD result in the most horrific project experience, severe stress, and problems at every turn? You bet! I'm fairly reasonable and understanding that problems arise, however, this 3 day project on my rental property resulted in a nearly 2 MONTH nightmare. The managers, Javier and Thomas, seemed bothered to deal with the issues created by their lack of oversight and made zero attempts to makes it right. At one point, the manager, Javier, called to "resolve" the problem by offering to fix the planks that were defective...he failed to tell me that this would VOID my warranty. Unfortunately for him, I'm not stupid and he had to put in more effort to actually address the problem with my almost $20,000 project. It was shocking and insulting. At this point, I'm out at least $3500 of income as a result of their reactive and neglectful management. Im now deciding if small claims court is my next step, but at this point, I'm emotionally exhausted from dealing with their constant BS. Be warned. Buying supplies here is fine. this morning I tried to buy 11 bags of scots red mulch in garden section; the check stand girl could not ring up my simple order, she seemed to be sleepwalking with her mind far away; there was no manager in store to help her. she fiddle-farted around for over 15 minutes before she could finally ring it up and then she forgot the color and quantity; but, she did not forget to wear her nose ring to work. their service is normally good but the manager pushed this employee out on the floor half-trained, next time I go back to Lowes across the street. read more

The 2.5 stars this store some how got reflects largely on how incompetent their management is. I ordered a $2100 vanity for one of my properties in Apple Valley. The online process was smooth since I did it myself. I get the whole COVID BS is going on but that is zero excuse to my horrible experience with this store. I picked up my vanity on 4/21. Typically online orders are to be inspected when delivered to the store. This was their first mistake. I worked for this trash company in management for 5 years. Needless to say I know how everything works here. For starters whoever was at the curbside pick up yesterday was super friendly. It took about 30 min to get my order from your receiving area I'm assuming (wayyyyy to long). I was told to go to the lumber door since the forklift was needed. I waited there approximately 15 min. The girl manning the door was an idiot to say the least. Good thing she was out at the door and not inside the store. The two gentlemen who finally brought out my order didn't have a single clue how to drive a forklift. Which is also no surprise. The box initially looked damaged but they loaded it anyway. Fast forward to getting home an unboxing. This thing weighs 450lbs mmmk not light. My husband and I got it off the truck and near the front door. The top of the box had clear marks from where the forklift had hit the box. Right as we opened it you can see where the forklift hit the vanity on the backsplash. Literally cracked in half. The rest of the vanity had cracks in the paint, Poor caulking that was also cracked and just dog shit all around. I called the store to speak to an ASM or the Service Desk DH. My boy Thomas Gonzales answered and seemed like he wanted to help me. I simply wanted the backsplash replaced and the vanity could be fixed up easily. Thomas gave me mad ass attitude telling me I had to bring the vanity back to the store....it's 450lbs. I asked him if he could please send someone to pick it up since my husband has a huge lifted truck. Literally impossible to reload with just him and I. Thomas told me he would not be sending anyone and that if I wanted to reorder it that I had to bring it back. A+ for customer service Thomas. I drove my happy ass back to the store to speak with Javier the store manager. How TF is he a store manager. He literally took zero responsibility for Thomas who is a reflection of his leadership and no responsibility for damaging my order. He said he wasn't sure if it was .com who damaged it or the store. Ummmmm Javier I'm pretty sure they are both Home Depot and this is your store I picked it up from therefore it's your problem for not inspecting properly due to poor training of store employees. Javier agreed to send someone to the house to help load the vanity back in the truck for me to return today 4/22. He said someone would call me between 8:30-9. It is now 9:19 and not a soul has called me. My husband and I managed to load the vanity back up and it's currently being taken back. I have spent well over $20,000 in this store remodeling this home. I was planning on getting the kitchen done for which I was quoted $60,000. I promise you I won't buy a tube of caulking from this dump. I rather drive to the other Home Depot's in the area. Guess I'm just used to customer service in Orange County and not this type of trash. Also a little advice for Thomas, learn to do your job and don't ever argue with a customer. UPDATE: I returned the order. I'm not making anymore online orders at any Home Depot anymore. What's been happening is, if the item is out of stock, you get an email stating that your item is out of stock and your order has been canceled and your credit card will be credited, but it never is. They keep the charge on your account and then down the road, after you've already purchased the item somewhere else, and after a month or two, they finally get their item back in stock and say you're item is ready for pick-up. And you're like, "What item"? and it's the item THEY SAID THEY CANCELED! And after a month or two when this is brought to your attention that you were charged for their out of stock item, they won't refund your credit card back the money --you'll need to go into the store in person to straighten out the mess and get a cash refund. This first happened to me in VV, so I started ordering at Apple Valley, and today found out the exact same thing happens here and probably all Home Depot stores. If you are out of stock on an item, and you say you canceled the order, you have NO BUSINESS charging anyone's credit card!! People--if you have ever had an online order canceled on you, check your statements! read more

This store has very few associates that actually know anything about hardware or any of the products sold in there own departments. Unless you work with or speak with management you won't get the right appliances or parts. From my new washer and dryer not being ordered correctly to a simple screw size. Asked for a M6 screw that was around 1 in in length. They kept sending me home with the wrong damn screw. After 5 fucken trips I look online. There OUT OF STOCK on M6 screws that are 20mm. But the associate had no idea. The washer and dryer took 4 hours on the store, 6 trips back and forth before they resolved the issues where the associate ordered the wrong dryer. The only way to get good help here is by working directly with a manager. read more

Shop nearby store in Los Angeles, which has major issues; noticed on credit report there were 3 fraudulent charges made on the credit card. None of the cardholders made those charges. The address was listed as Apple Valley. The Home Depot services reversed one, but still wouldn't close the account. They only changed the number and allowed more charges. They didn't fix it, either. Over $1300 charged online not belonging to anyone's home address. We have filed with the FTC.gov and police. The fraudulent charges weren't removed, The Home Depot refuses to take off any money and still charges on autopay. Worst customer service for any hardware store ever. They give items to crooks and make you pay the bill. Hope this company goes bankrupt soon. They don't deserve business. read more

She ordered everything I needed on her workstation computer, to be picked up Saturday. AND I was able to pay right there after ordering. This review is against Home Depot because they can't seem to make OnTrac bring me my package even though the driver admitted it wasn't delivered. Went to Home Depot to purchase a new Refrigerator for our house. The purchase was easy and painless. The hard part is customer service and delivery. I scheduled my delivery for Friday may 1st. I called to see if they had any eariler deliveries available and they employee said that the earliest was Thursday april 30th so we scheduled that. I get a call Wednesday the 29th saying that our delivery was rescheduled for May 8th because they Home Depot employee Tiffany didn't schedule the new thursday delivery correctly. Called back to see why it was messed up and the said they would fix it. We get a call back saying that the earliest delivery they had was sunday May 3rd (Today) so we scheduled that. Sunday May 3rd comes along and we call to check on delivery and they tell us we are still scheduled for May 8th. Home depot offered a loaner Refrigerator that we could use until ours arrived but we would need to pick it up from the store and return it when our arrives. We will be going to the store today to return our refrigerator that we can't get for some reason. read more

I would like to first start off by saying that these five stars are given to the Home Depot employee, Maria Saldana from the Millworks dept. I won't get into all the details, however she did a superb job in handling an issue that should have been taken care of months ago by another Home Depot employee of the same dept. I wish I could leave a better comment but I'm just upset that Home Depot ruined my brother's experience buying a gift card for my wife and I for Christmas. My wife and I went to use the card on 12/26/22 at the San Bernardino Hospitality store and there was a zero balance. My brother had bought us a $200 value gift card. My wife and I were embarrassed. Instead of making a scene after trying 3 times at the self checkout we instead used my HD card to purchase our items at the set checkout. I called my brother about what had happened. My brother went to the Apple Valley store where he purchased it. The staff said they were going to investigate it but haven't got back to him. According to the Apple Valley store the gift card was used at a Victorville 2 days after my brother bought the gift card on 12/16/22. Today my brother went back to the Apple Valley store. but was not able to talk to management or loss prevention. The associate he was talking to today told him that it happens to honest paying customers every year. It's just a shame that issues like are not handled more seriously. My brother is out $200 and my wife and I where forced to pay $177 for our purchase. Home Depot made $377 and does not care for their customers. read more
