I had an awful experience last year at the Batesville home depot that you can see here. I also posted the same review on Home Depot site. I went back to see other reviews recently and noticed my review is gone. They claim to have only 17 one star ratings. I don't know how many other reviews disappear to keep their rating high. I'm giving it a one star solely based on their lack of give a damn at night time. I'm amonv the houses right behind home depot. They need to have better standards and perhaps management at night. Their music can be heard in my bedroom, right now a truck is back there turned on i can hear it over 4 fans, and my snoring spouse. Because of the lack of management at night people will occasionally race back there too. We hear it all in our house. Lets not talk about when the shipments come in the truck slams into home depot with so much force it shakes my house... do better home depot. A family member placed an order in the store, waited for the card to clear for the order. Gave email address for tracking info etc. Didn't get an email re the order, so a day after the order should have arrived he called the store and was told his card declined. He told them he didn't get an email regarding the problem and that the card cleared while he was in the store. The reason he didn't get the email is they had written down the email incorrectly. So, he ordered the item again by phone, waited again for the card to clear, which it did. Was told he would receive an email with tracking info and order number etc. Guess what? He did not get the email. Called them they tell him the order is "under review". Now he bought a pricey lawn mower two weeks ago with the same card no problem. Let's just say there must some kind of credit card fraud going on at the Batesville Home Depot. Exactly what does "under review mean"? If they are reviewing their own procedures why not ship the product to the customer whose card cleared twice already. This is per the bank. The I have dealt with HD through our business for years and have never heard of such a thing. He finally had enough, he cancelled the order and will never go to Home Depot again. We have spent thousands of dollars at this store in the last two years while remodeling and last summer we purchased and window air conditioner/heater. The air worked fine but in October when we attempted to use the heater it would not work..We attempted to resolve the issue through the manufacture and the foreign lady we talked agreed to set up a service call. It never happened and today she gave us the "run-around" again when we called because now the air conditioner doesn't work properly. I called the home depot where we purchased it and they said we purchased it on April 22 of last year so our warranty just ran out. They put me through to a manager and he was very cool and seemed to care less about the situation. I told him we had been trying to resolve the problem since October and he could care less. He just kept saying we should have purchased the extended warranty....My blood was boiling!!! We paid over six hundred dollars for this unit. At this time I am extremely upset and disappointed!!! We are both over 60 and work hard and to be treated this way is just pathetic! read more

Went to Home Depot in Batesville to order a patio door and a 4x6 window on 6 June 2021. They had the door but needed to order the window. We had an estimated delivery date of 21 July 2021. I called several times before the ETA and was only told the ETA. After the 21 July had past, I called again and Home Depot said it was sent to the store but they could not find it. We had to cancel our contractors. Home Depot reordered the window and gave us an ETA of 21 September which has come and gone. We called and were suppose to talk to Holly. We are now told that we have a balance on the window. Why we ask, we paid in full when we ordered it. It turns out they were charging us again for the window they lost.. The window cost $629. We were told that we measured the window wrong so they were charging us for a new one. This is nuts. We got them squared away and Holly would be calling us today and get it figured out. Holly did not call, Holly never returns calls. If you are ever told that Holly will be calling you, just figure that is just a ploy to get rid of you. So we call back and talked to Chris. He seems like he cares but that's not good enough, we still do not have our window. He told us the ETA was 29 Sept which is different from what we have been told several times and when I questioned him he said it is the new ETA. How do they stay in business. read more

This is a very poorly stocked store. I have never seen a Home Depot this poorly equipped. However, I must say they employ enough people. Which is great as jobs are badly needed in this rural area. Kudos for that Home Depot!! Also, they are very friendly. read more

I have ordered online mostly and have never had a problem, have placed orders on the phone and went to pick up item as were to big for shipping by like UPS when I got to store service was outstanding and had like 3 people loading my lumber, etc in my truck an was good to go as I have paid for my order went I go to the store and when they loaded my items. Just wish was not a hour drive to get to the store. Shop both "Batesville and Mountain Home stores and both have been outstanding, don't care as much as when I lived in Phoenix, AZ area but are small towns so can't carry as much an stores are smaller so is as expected buy better prices than Lowes (No Lowes in Batesville) But Lowes are starting to close stores in the US read more

One of the weakest HD's I've ever shopped at. I suppose after many years living in an urban center with multiple HD's I'm a bit spoiled. That doesn't change the fact that this place leaves a lot to be desired. Another reviewer mentioned poorly stocked, that's exactly to the point. I come here at least twice a week and some of the basic essentials are out of stock or aren't even stocked. Standard sized washers and wingnuts (1/4in) are regularly out. Their power tool section stocks the bare essentials only, very disappointing. Then there is the staff, wow. Usually it's never the same people from week to week. More often than not, if you can find a staff member to help you they are looking down at their phone checking their facebook. Very lame. The lumber warehouse is hilarious, as typically there aren't any staff members there to help people load (I've never had help loading). Usually the only staff member on hand is the person sitting in the little air conditioned shack, who comes out to check your receipt before they open the gate to allow you to exit. Lame again. Today I came and had a few items and some lumber. I was waiting in line for a checkout person because I didn't want to scan all my lumber in the self checkout. It then came to my attention that the staff were having a party for an employee, on the store floor no less. Yes, there was singing and balloons while customers waited in line. I scanned my lumber board by board in the self checkout lane while the staff members partied it up. Once again, lame. The only reason I come here is because I have an HD credit card. If not for this I would definitely support a smaller mom and pop store in the area. I suggest you do that, and save yourself the frustration of this place. read more
