My husband purchased a smoke…read moredetector from this store via Amazon (we live in Illinois) because it was the only place he could find the detector which was, based on the description provided by the store, compatible with our other connected detectors. Turns out it isn't compatible. Although he intended to return it through Amazon it is the store that would refund the money. Or not, as he not only has to pay for the return shipping fee plus a 20% restocking fee which will be deducted from the refund, they will also deduct the original shipping fee from his refund. At that point he will not get much money in return. As such he decided he will donate the detector to Habitat for Humanity who will appreciate the item as it will be put to use keeping someone safe. So buyer beware with this store.
