Normally I enjoy a good trip to the depot, but this time not so much. I was on a weird mission today for a laser level that needed to show up on a dark surface. I asked a gentleman named Andrew for some advice as I don't necessarily know what I'm looking for. I wanted something stronger than the previous laser level I had. And I asked about one that was $149. He said it should work for what I was looking for. I wanted to read the box to determine but since it was a locked up item I had to first purchase it. I decided (poorly) to purchase a cheaper one. Well since I purchased it, I decided to open it and test it out. Turns out it was not going to work for what I needed it for. So I returned it. The lady at the returns desk was semi understanding the first time. Than I decided (poorly again) to purchase the more expensive one in hopes it would work better. Well it did not. So I decided to purchase the original one I should've just went with the first time. But the entire time, every employee(the self checkout, the customer service desk etc) werel staring us down, making sure we weren't stealing (items we had paid for let me remind you) and hassled my husband during the return. I understand they were doing their jobs but why would I purchase and continue to purchase an item to try it out to see if it was what I needed it for and how it would work just to "steal it"? Being treated like a criminal when you are being upfront and honest with the employees isn't a great feeling. We didn't do anything wrong, you had no reason to ask which door we came in, where we parked or what we were driving. When all we were trying to do was purchase a laser level that we couldn't test without purchasing and instead of dragging our cranky toddler to and from the store three times, we just tried it out in the parking lot. My apologies for the long review but the whole story was needed to explain that employees staring down, making phone calls to the other side of the store, and asking those types of questions isn't necessary when someone is trying to navigate something they aren't familiar with. What's the point of returns or accepting them if you are going to judge someone for buying a similar item because the one they first purchased didn't work? Also might I add if I was going to steal why would I show up with a very noticeable feature, (ie my hair is neon orange) Not everyone is a criminal. read more

Had a large list of supplies i needed to purchase. Robert stayed with us until all of our parts were in the cart! Robert even cut and threaded two odd sized 3/4" black pipe nipples for us. If I could give Home Depot negative stars I would. We purchased a lot of material for our home build. We've bought and returned with no issue. Now, they require an ID to be tied to store credit (our own money). We own a company and sent an employee to return items. Well, they made him tie his own ID to the store credit, making it useless for us (the people who actually bought the items). We were told there was nothing they could do. I've never had a store tie store credit to a specific ID. How much money are they making off people who are now unable to spend their own refund? read more

If we could give them 0 stars we would. We ordered a shed months ago in store and we were expecting installation soon. Come to find out that Home Depot had cancelled our order a month ago and didn't even bother to call us. When we called them, their response was basically too bad and if you want to put in another shed order we may get it to you in the fall and we won't do anything at all to make this right. Congrats Home Depot on forever losing our substantial business for remodeling our home to Lowes and Menards. We have never been treated like this at those places. read more

And a five star review down to one star due to manager Angelique and employee Diana's really poor attitudes. After being denied my AAA discount I always get when renting a truck, I offered to log in to my account and show that it was active. Diana refused and I asked for a manager. Angelique comes up and says they can't do it. I inform her I get it every time, she replied by saying " maybe next time you should come in with a AAA card that isn't expired." Which was incredibly rude as I mentioned they sent my new card to my old address and that I can log in to my account and prove it is active. Which the guy did the last time I came in and it was easy and effortless. These 2 today clearly had a chip on their shoulder and wouldn't relent. I called Penske, gave them my # and they looked it up on the spot and applied it. No hassles, the ONLY hassle was with Home Depot employees today. I asked for the store manager and she replied, " you'll get a worse response from him". I'm pretty surprised at this as a business owner. read more

Horrible service. One of the associates, Hadley, was on her phone in front of me knowing I needed help but not assisting me. It was so unprofessional. It seemed like she and another worker named Gabe had absolutely no idea what they're were doing. I might as well checked myself out and assisted myself instead of letting them do anything. I will never go back to this Home Depot. There are only a few select older gentlemen that were actually helpful (Kenneth?). This is a nice Home Depot!! The staff was very helpful and they have good looking trees and shrubs. The shelves were really well organized and kept up. Clean. The rest rooms were clean as well. If you need help, they are there for you. read more

Yesterday day I bought a dishwasher here and returned it an hour later because the service was so bad I didn't feel they deserved the sale. I paid for it in the appliance department and with receipt in hand waited while the department head used her radio to get the forklift operator. First no one could find "Paul" who was the only one that could use the forklift. I patiently waited about 20 minutes for them to find "Paul" and finally said to one of the three employees frantically using radios to get "paul". "I have to go pick up a guy I will be back- can you all have it at the front when I get back?" "Yes sir one replied we will have it there for you" ( turns out this was the manager- Lori ) On my way out I passed the pro desk and there "Paul" was casually talking it with some Chick on a computer at the pro desk I said " Hey there Paul... 4 isles away they are calling you on the radio for the last 20 minutes to get a dishwasher down for a customer.... I'm the customer that's been waiting" He looked at me blankly and swaggered off. I left to pick up my employee. When I returned there was no dishwasher at the front. So I asked yet another orange smock.... Ben- He was at the pro desk and clueless too! Then as I headed to the appliance department to find my bought and paid for item- another employee barked from a distance- "It's on a cart down there, by that blah blah blah display" He stood there pointing off into a sea of inventory" "Ok I said I suppose I'll walk there and search since your too lazy to show me where it is" It was at this point I decided forget it- I'm getting my money back. So I went to my truck to fetch the receipt. When I returned there was my dishwasher on a cart being ushered to the front by 4-5 orange vested employees one of which was Lori. " I've changed my mind I said I just want my money back" "We have it on a cart right here one seemingly able bodied employee said" "It's been an hour and you all are ridiculous- I want my money back" So Lori took my receipt and got on the computer at the Pro desk to process the return. About 5 minutes passed and it seemed she was having trouble using the computer- she asked the girl Paul was previously chatting with... "can I do a return on this computer?" "No the girl said, you have to do that at the service desk" At that moment The phone rang- Lori answered and said out of the side of her face "We'll get you taken car of Hun" and she walked off phone too ear towards the service desk. Do I follow her I thought? Certainly she will need my debit card to do a return. So a slowly walked the length of the building to the service desk. When I arrived she turned and said "oh I guess I need your card" "Oh I said, I guess it's a good thing I walked down here then - instead of standing at the pro desk where you left me" While processing my return at the backwards service desk ( literally they stand with their backs to you while your being served or waiting in line? The service desk! Really?! So this is when I find out "Lori" is the Manager. I lost it! "Your the manager?" "Well if your the manager you should be fired because you have handled this so poorly" "You have your backs to customers at the service desk, people using radios to call people that are 50 ft away, you yourself can't run the computer, you've got a sea of orange vested workers that are all clueless- except one guy who turns out is actually a inventory guy" " sorry you feel that way Sir" "yeah well Lori- you haven't heard the last of this" You know the inventory guy... I saw random customers ask him for help and he would walk them to the appropriate isle. That's not his job and you could see his frustration because none of the sales people had a clue and he was picking up their slack. Even the appliance lady that was helping me asked him stuff! My understanding is that's not even his job! He does inventory and shelving! So basically he gets asked because he's the only one around departments This was honestly the worst store, service and display of retail I have ever witnessed- worst Home Depot in the west! Do not waste your time ordering an appliance from these incompetent fools. Wasted my time, called me the day of the appointment to reschedule, not a person, a robocall.) I then called them to cancel, it would not allow me to cancel on the web, but they routed and rerouted me and dropped my call. First living person I spoke to had to call someone else and left me on hold for 15 minutes, before some rude person finally answered, and was able to cancel my order. They deserve -5 stars. 2 years ago, they used to surpassed other home improvement stores in Cheyenne when it came to customer service. NOT NOW! One of the day assistant manager can't even be bothered to help when his staff isn't able to find an item (even after numerous pages). He was too busy. The last straw was going in before closing to get 3 of 1 item they were supposed to have 11 of in stock. I had purchased the same item a month before so I knew right where it was supposed to be. Long story short, couldn't find it so asked the older man at the front desk to page someone. Waited and then they announced they were closed and when I returned up front to let him know no one came to assist, his words were to the affect of not my problem I paged someone, come back tomorrow I'm not helping you. This is the same associate who 3 months prior, I had asked why the military discount wasn't applying and he gave a flippant answer and was very rude. The night manager wasn't interested in helping either (giving a flippant remark of well it's in a box in the isle and if not then we don't have them), a wonderful associate took his time after closing to verify that yes their count was off and they did not have it in stock. I will pay the extra gas to go to Fort Collins if Home Depot is the only place I can get a specific item, otherwise I will be going to Lowes, Menards, Ace, Murdochs.... They continually treat customers like they don't matter. read more

I am beyond upset with Home Depot! I ordered appliances the middle of September 2020 and asked Sabrina in the appliance department to have my appliances delivered on October 29, 2020, a month and a half later. I didn't receive a call, text or message to set up a window for delivery. I called this evening and asked why I haven't heard from anyone today. They told me they tried calling me. Really? What time? Where is the message? No one left me a message and I didn't hear from anyone. I asked if they can get the items delivered and they said no they will next week. I ordered these appliances over a month ago and you're telling me I need to wait another week. Don't shop here! Go to Lowe's! I also ordered appliances from Lowe's and they called, texted and emailed me today to schedule a delivery tomorrow. Where is the service in this town? Well don't go to HD to look for it! It's hard to know where to even start, I work in retail and try to offer excellent customer service.. only to find that it's hard to receive it when I am the customer. My shed was warrantied for 110 mile an hour wind and the wind was less than 75mph and it fell apart. Both Home Depot and Tuff Shed are saying it was an act of GOD, this is how they get out of all their warranties. Now, their social media specialist is asking what happened. This is the second time they have contacted me on a social media site, but not changed denial of warranty. Let's see if Home Depot does anything to Honar this warranty? after contacting me again on a social media site. If so, I will change the statas. As of now Home Depot and Tuff shed have denied the warranty, calling it an act of God. I have turned this over to the Attorney General. The social media network specialist puts up an automated response to help keep their "good name", but they don't really respond. They don't actually help, they don't honar anything. read more

My husband and I visited this Home Depot because we had decided to complete some rather pricey home improvement projects. We called before heading to Cheyenne, as we had to commute 72 miles each way to make the intended purchases. The representative we spoke to on the phone assured us that the store would do a price match and that an associate would be available to assist us upon our arrival. When we got to the store, we were met with complete dismissal. The entire staff was extremely unfriendly, if not downright rude. We finally found someone to acknowledge us, only to be informed that he would not help us and they would not price match with a competitor in the same town. We informed him that someone over the phone told us opposing information, and he again affirmed that no one was going to help us. A cashier overheard the interaction and had the audacity to insinuate we were lying about calling beforehand. We left empty-handed, having wasted both time and money in making the trip. I have never been treated with such disrespect and apathy by a company at all, especially while trying to make a sizeable purchase. It was obvious my business was not valued or wanted. We now patronize Lowe's and Menards, who offer MUCH superior customer service and adhere to their word. BUYERS BEWARE. read more

This is by far my worst experience. At check out I asked for my Veterans discount. I was told I wasn't the right type of Veteran. You now have to be 30% service connected. It doesn't matter that I faithfully served my country for 8 years active duty Army. I'm still not the right kind of Veteran. Unfortunately the only way to post this is to give it a star. read more

If you're ordering appliances from this store. I would not bother, I placed an order for a refrigerator on 6/21/14 and it was suppose to be delivered on 7/5/14 at 9:00 am. Their delivery department is uncoordinated and tardy. They decided to make a delivery to Laramie before making a delivery in town for unknown reasons. I will not be doing any business with them again, I will advise my friends and coworkers to not order any appliances from home depot and go to lowes instead. read more
