I visited a few months ago and it was pretty bad. Most of the employees that day were very unprofessional, not very helpful and shockingly on their phones apparently while working - e.g., there was a guy who appeared to be on his phone 1/2 the time and putting items on the shelf the other 1/2. At the register, one of my items didn't have a scan code on it and the cashier said that I had to go back and find the correct code for it. It seems to me that one of the employees should assist with that. I complained to the manager and she 100% agreed with me. Update: I visited this HD location last week and it was greatly improved. One employee was very helpful and got a larger dolly cart for me to carry bags of heavy garden soil. Also, the cashier was a bit more engaged than I've experienced in the past. Prices have increased as of late March 2026 but I don't suppose that HD's fault. read more

This is a rant about how it is to work for this horrible company. They treat their employees like crap. They only reward lazy worthless employees. The managers only care about their Bonus and as a cashier I was constantly pounded to sell credit cards to. customers. They yell at you in front of customers and literally fire you for no reason even when your a great employee. I never called out I never took days off and was great with the customers. I've been a loyal Home Depot customer for 25 years. As a Pro Member, I simply can can't live without my wife or Home Depot. I am a Property Butler and rely on the people and more importantly the management of a store to set the tone. AVOID THIS LOCATION. There is a very troubling disconnect between management and staff. My van was actually towed from the lot by management. Another example of the disconnect is seeing the app show (60) available Lutron Pico switches which are held in the front cage. The employee couldn't dig though the clutter in the cage to locate one of them. West Delray Home Depot is your best bet. There is new management at the West Delray location. I feel valued there. I've never seen such arrogance from the young male manager when I needed clarity where my van was. It's insane to me that as a loyal customer I couldn't get a phone call as big as the number is on the van. Disrespectful and not relationship based. read more

At this point, it's sorta my Home Depot. Not that I'm bragging. I'm the beaten down owner of a house. It's only been a few months, but lucky me I have been to many Home depot's a combined dozens of times. And this one is closest to me, and possibly the best one. I have been in every department. Hardware, paint, electric, lighting, plumbing and most the others. Every area has had helpful people, often it felt like the person I asked wasn't even working that area. The other day I was near the front of the store asking about a plumbing part. The Home Depot person walked me darn near half way across the store to help me find the piece. It really felt above and beyond. The location is kept clean ad organized. And unlike some locations, they seem to be great and hiring cheerful, knowledgeable people. I come here because it's close to me, but also because I know I will get helped by some quality people. read more

I have had rude experiences in this store where an employee cursed at me and told me because of a different ethnicity to know what I need and know where things are do I want to hear some racist ramble from an employee who I don't know the name of I don't know the managers really don't go in much but do I things when I'm bringing my Haitian employees with me who are my business partners they own a little percent of my business they've been working for me for a long time and family for over 40 years, we have heard people come up to us and us different names over the last couple of years just like any other Home Depot. They are extremely racist and extremely rude and I asked one of them I you know where something said to don't you know anything one of these people excuse me what type of person am I you look like a contractor you should know where this is and I said is it because I'm from he said yes so I didn't have a very good experience here. Worst store worst I've ever shopped my life. Terrible customer service terrible people terrible terrible terrible experience. I've spent over $600,000 Home Depot in different locations and I'm treated this way and my crew is treated this way as well. Well there's one thing out of it that I know we don't buy from Home Depot anymore we buy from fair with me and me a mic pro card and treats their customers and contractors correctly with the most respect that they possibly can they're good people unlike the Home Depot and don't care about making us I don't get a commission and they don't care. The Delray Home Depot is kind of a mixed bag. Of course it's got almost everything you could need for your home improvement or gardening project. But the staff is so hit and miss! Depending on your luck, it can be the easiest shopping run of your life or the worst. Yesterday when I stopped by it was the worst. I needed a finishing accessory for a newly installed wood floor. Online it said they had it in stock, but I couldn't find it anywhere. It wasn't in the specified bay and I looked up and down multiple aisles, but no luck. Couldn't locate it. I then looked all over for someone to assist me and I couldn't find 1 staff member. Not 1! So, I wandered over to the pro desk. The guy, who was not the best communicator in the world, sent me to another aisle, which was also wrong. After 20 minutes wasted in this maddening nut hut, I ran out of time and had to leave empty handed. Of course, I'll definitely be back, because it's more or less the only game in town and I don't really have a choice. However, any business I do here is done under protest as a dissatisfied customer. read more

Best Employee is Jim from delivery I was at the Del Ray Beach Home Depot today to make a few purchases. Most of the employees I asked for help said they didn't work in a specific area without even trying to find someone else to help while others were not welcoming UNTIL I met Jim from delivery. Jim went above and beyond to help me and should be an example to all employees in the store. He was professional, courteous, took the time to listen and was able to answer all my questions, researched items that were not on the shelves and made sure I found all the items I needed including helping to transport heavy items to the car. All that with respect and a smile on his face. Jim exceeded all the expectations of an A+ customer service employee. My many thanks to him. read more

This is the second delivery were one thing was communicated to us in person at Home Depot and we received a different experience upon delivery at our home. We are new homeowners and new parents (less than 2-weeks). Our dishwasher decided to break 2 weeks into moving in. Water would just fill up at the bottom and dishes were never fully cleaned. Home Depot had some great prices on dishwashers plus free delivery. It was a no brainer to choose them. We explained our situation to the employee that was helping us (Phil). We even asked if the water at the bottom would be an issue. He stated no, the delivery team would have tools to take care of it before placing the new dishwasher in. The employee asked about our flooring to ensure the dishwasher could be moved and we would have no issues upon delivery. When the delivery team arrived today they stated it was our problem and we needed to take care of the water before they could do anything else. When we explained that this was not was communicated to us in person, the delivery team called a manger, placed him on speaker, so the manager could to tell us that we have to figure out how to clean out the water before they can place our machine. After we cleaned out the water with a mop and cup, we were than told they couldn't place the new machine because of water shut off valve. A water shut off valve that we communicated to the Employee in person. The manager was called again, placed on speaker to tell us (again) it was our problem, and they couldn't do anything. We now are forced to refuse a product that we have been patiently waiting for for a week. Bad customer service. To be told it's our problem, and to have a Home Depot team only focus on the barriers and not provide solutions to ensure we could get this fixed today, was a discouraging. read more

Hello All Be very care full before contracting Home Depot for Windows. I placed an order over a year ago, for three different condos. One has been installed after 4 or 5 months, i am still waiting for the final inspection, nobody seems to take care. The second job was just installed and passed the inspection, about one year after order was placed. The third job, we are still waiting for someone who knows what he/she is doing to take some decisions to move forward with the installation. I can't believe I didn't review Home Depot! I am here 2x a day, seriously, when I'm off work. Pros: Slightly larger selection than Lowes, though sometimes Lowes has obscure hardware that HD does not stock. The HD return policy is fantastic...they take everything back with a receipt for almost any reason (other than you broke it), and if you used your HD card, you do not even need a receipt, and even if there is no record of the purchase at all, as long as they sell the item and it is still is good shape, they'll take it back for store credit. Cons: more expensive than Lowes, especially the Garden Center (example: 75cuft of topsoil is $2.07 at HD, whereas 1cuft of topsoil is $1.57 at Lowes, so I'm in essence paying $.62 more a cuft at HD). Another odd con; HD corpHQ uses this location to test their new POS OS computer systems, and they do this just about every month, so, no matter how seasoned your assisting staff is, they can NEVER get the computer to work right...very annoying for all special orders and pick-ups. This is a stupid, inefficient, silly HD corp. "make-work" procedure that just annoys the sh!t out of everyone involved on the POS side. Wash: if you have a Lowes card, HD will honor your Lowes 5% discount, if you ask. read more

I'm at this Home depot at least once a month. Every 1st Saturday of the month they have the children's workshop in the morning around (9am to noon). The kids get to build some pretty awesome things out of prefabricated wood cutouts. Yeah, i'm the one with the hammer in my hand that I took away from my son because I can't stand to see the corners not lined up perfectly before putting the nails in. I used to just hold the pieces together for my son but he's hammered my finger so many times. But I do have a fabulous collection of some useful and some not so useful items we made in the last few years. I like the garden section and I'm pretty handy around the house so I'm at this Home Depot whenever I need to fix something. read more

I live between the east and west stores. About half way to both. The east store has always seemed a little more organized and better stocked. Today I know why I'm only going to the East store. I had a problem with a Jackson Wheelbarrow 8 cu ft, the tub cracked and I wanted to order the replacement tub. Jackson said go to Home Depot we don't sell to customers. Gave the store manager their number, replacement part number and they gave her the run around. She finally took care of the issue. She got me a replacement wheelbarrow. Can't say thanks enough to Brandi for fixing this problem. She went out of her way to take care of the customer, something you just don't see that much of now days. read more

I placed an order (job 11107828) for impact windows and marble windowsills on 9/28/21. I live in a block home and have 9 windows to be replaced. My install date was 3/14/22. Eight of the nine were correct and were installed. All of these windows were ordered through a Home Depot salesperson, and he apparently ordered the wrong type of window on one. Neither the installer nor the Home Depot representatives that came to our house during this original install would go pick up the marble for our windowsills. A replacement order was placed the next week and I received an estimated arrival date of July 6th. The replacement window came in a few days prior to July 6th but took until September 2nd for an installation, so now it's been 5 1/2 months since the original install date. When the installer came today, it was the wrong window again. So, this replacement window has been sitting in Home Depot's warehouse since the first week of July, and no one can verify that it's correct. The installer today did go and pick up the marble. He was unable to install today due to severe lightning storms, needing to run power equipment to cut the marble. I assume I will be waiting another 6 months to hopefully get the correct window received and installed. Meanwhile, I have to move furniture and window hangings yet another time. Home depot is home depot- they are all about the same right? Well not really. This one had the fewest employees walking around helping than any other i've been to. Also, i wanted to get a key made and there was no one at the key-cutting station. Not only that, but there was another customer already waiting who had been there for over 10 minutes. I'll go to my local hardware store instead if there are any left!! The employees by the self- checkout machines were in their own little world having a conversation so deeply that i had to excuse myself to get past them to exit the store. I was trying to upgrade my kitchen and ended up talking to Ron in the kitchen department. First of all it took Ron about 20 minutes to get off the phone. When Ron finally addressed me he was very rude to me and ONLY wanted to sell me a top of the line kitchen that was NOT in my 6k budget. Agree with Karl B. really great service for a Big Box. Doing some renovations lately, so have ended up at Lowe's and Sports Authority also just this week. Home Depot was vastly different and stood out for helpfulness of the staff on the floor (cashiers were fine but not my focus). My main comments are surrounding great help in the tile section - the guy painstakingly helped me look thru marble for matching pieces, and the door area - manager was really helpful in ordering custom pocket doors and pricing windows and next door purchases. Will definitely back to this store as I continue my projects. Back again Thanksgiving weekend. Juan in the Doors department helped me find and price out four interior doors and four closet doors. Lots of choices and lots of patience. This is strictly a review of my water heater buying experience. It started off okay: I went to Lowe's, but they weren't helpful and wanted $35 to give me an estimate (no thanks, it's just a water heater). When I went to Home Depot, I was impressed: all the water heaters have a sticker saying Same Day Installation If You Call By 12PM! Wow! That's great! It was Friday night about 8PM when I was in the store, so, of course, this would be a Saturday installation. Having a water heater on Saturday was a top priority, as the next day was Easter Sunday and I had my in-laws staying with us when our 20yo water heater decided to leak. So, the Home Depot guy entered my name and contact information into their computer. I should be the first person they call tomorrow morning, he said! Well, Saturday I got up @ 8AM ready to take that call. By 9AM I had my coffee and breakfast, still waiting. By 10AM I began running some errands. By 11AM I tried calling Home Depot, which has a menu prompt that directs me to Florida Delta Mechanical, who never answered their phone. Ever. I tried calling three different times, staying on the line for a long time each time, but they never picked up the phone and they never called me. As I write this, it's 11PM Saturday, and they still never called. Or emailed me (I gave them my email address, too). So, earlier today at 1:30PM I pivoted and called Plumbing Experts, which I've used before. After I got past the dispatcher, I got the information I needed from the service manager, and at 2PM made an appointment for a simple, 50-gallon electric heater purchase and installation. At 3PM Andrew from Plumbing Experts arrives, and a few hours later, I have hot water. Oh, and the price I got on the phone was the price I paid, less a $100 coupon that happened to come in the mail on Friday. I need to talk to the Home Depot store manager. They not only lost a sale, but they lost any future appliance installations, too, and they're now getting this negative Yelp review so everyone can read and avoid Home Depot and not believe the Same Day Installation If You Call By 12PM garbage.
