There is plenty of space to move large items/carts through with no issue. The staff is always helpful and are happy to help. Worst service --rude workers who did not want to be bothered -standing in groups chatting with other workers . After finally getting someone to help me , they didnt want to lift into the trailer ( I'm a 60 plus yr female) Overall workers would not help any customers in store --groups of 3 or more stand around talking . Worst customer service ever! No cashiers to help load plywood on the cart or check us out so we are at self checkout. Took 3 cashiers to find one price. Then no offer to help my 73 year old husband put things in the truck while 4 stood by one truck laughing and not paying attention! One had the nerve to say we should ask for help when I pointed this out! Isn't that your job to ask the customer if they need help?? I went to Home Depot today and operation "COVID-19" was apparently well underway. Had a conversation with a management employee about the whole situation. To her credit... she totally supported the employee's. All the while fully understanding how implementing these new safety measures were stressing her workers and the customers out. I want to give her a BIG shout-out for supporting her staff and the company policies. Her name is Ms. SARAH. I have probably spent thousands of dollars at this store; and I can safely say, by now I have a very good feel for the management style and employee attitudes throughout the organization. I have run into many an employee with technical questions for which I have always obtained a cogent/correct answer. Mostly from Mr. PHIL, Ms. Patty and Mr. JOSE. The Home Depot - Operation COVID-19 - Hardware Stores Near Me - Dothan, Alabama

How Ridiculous! Purchased a $500 charcoal smoker grill online TODAY online, Dothan alabama, masterbulit gravity 560, added "Assembly" , a grill cover, charcoal, waited for email to pick up curbside for our family's Labor Day cookout later this afternoon (last minute our old grill refused to light) received email, called & was told "assembly crew" is out until after the holiday! Seriously?!?!?! Takes 3-5 days to get my $630 back and no one in the store is competent enough to put together the grill that I paid for and specifically was suppose to pick up TODAY!!! Wow! Talk about poor customer service! I remember now we have previously & almost always shopped Lowe's for our needs! Sorry we cheated on you Lowe's, never again! read more

I would give negative stars if I could. This isn't actually against the particular Home Depot in Dothan, AL, but Home Depot corporate. That said, the delivery service they use to NOT deliver a washer/dryer is possibly their responsibility. TL;DR version: do NOT order anything from Home Depot and expect delivery and/or installation. I spent a total of nearly 7 hours on the phone with them trying to get a washer and dryer delivered for over a week. I ended up cancelling the order and will gladly be giving Lowe's my business. My family placed the order for a simple washer and dryer, with delivery and installation, on 7 January 2022. The first delivery option was 25 January, which we took. The day before Home Depot's delivery service said they had to change the zip code - the delivery would be in on a city line, so Google Maps put it in Dothan, and USPS in Midland City - so when I discovered the delay, I checked Google Maps myself. I confirmed the physical location and directions would get to the right location, and explained that to Home Depot. After and epic 2 hours on the phone with them, the delivery was rescheduled for 27 January, between 3 and 7 pm. The recipients had an appointment in the morning, so that worked out. Well, it did until Home Depot showed up 3.5 hours early while they were out and said it was a failed delivery attempt. Another 1.5 hours on the phone trying to straighten in out, as well as open a case with customer resolutions, had it guaranteed delivery for 31 January. We were told we would be notified the day before about the delivery window, which of course did not happen. I called later that night and was told no time frame, but we were #9 on the delivery list. That morning I called for a window, still none, but assured it would be delivered. Late in the afternoon, I called again, and was put on hold another 30 minutes to be told the manager of the warehouse would contact me. I cancelled the order then. I had foolishly believed them too many times. The kicker is, I got through to corporate resolutions, explained what happened and that I cancelled the order, and her response was, "Well. What do you want me to do about it." BTW, the only resolution you will get is up to $150 in Home Depot gift cards. What a insult. read more

Landscape & house plants selection is not as that at Lowes, 30% of variety avail., and prices are 10% higher than Lowes'. Was one of the worst HD I've seen in years; however, in the last month or so, the garden staff has made a great effort to clean up and better care of the plants. read more

The employee obviously does not want to be here today and definitely does not want to help us. Both in stock items are are being used for display. I am a professional contractor. I often come here for smaller misc. items. While the staff try to be helpful, they do not often give the best or correct advise.
