This is one of my favorite HDs. It is right across from Costco, in old town GG, and it has everything you need from home improvements, plants, snacks, and everything in between for gardening and cleanups. Parking lot is spacious and every time I came here, it was never crowded. This location plant nursery section is also pretty big and they usually have a great selection of indoor and outdoor plants! I bought quite a few of indoor/outdoor plants from this location over the years. I feel like their selections of the ones at this locations are generally better, healthier, prettier, and greener! Maybe just my imagination but if I want to buy new office plants or plants for my house, I would stop here first to check out what new stuff they have! read more

The Homedepot at LaHabra ,Do not purchase windows or anything that requires installation. Terrible installation services and many mistakes and you will be having installers come to your house with wrong size wjndows and they will be back and forth with them for months . If you require patio screen door repairs I've been waiting since November of 2025 to get them repaired with 3 installers coming to my house with wrong size screens since November of 2025. I like to go to this branch because I feel they always have enough items, as well as arrange things neatly for easy searching. The products they sell here all have clear brand origins. Their return support policy is also quite good. Prices may vary from place to place but quality is guaranteed. The space is large, the air in the house is always airy and clean. I like to walk in their Garden area because they always import many plants and many fruits and trees. The staff here are mostly very enthusiastic, always greeting and ready to help if I have any questions. So this survey is a part 2, since part 1 would rate a 0 stars ( survey does not rate 0 stars's). On 7/6/26 , while finishing up on my living-room flooring, My worker needed an extra piece of molding to complete my flooring. I drove quickly to Home Depot on Beach Blvd , where I apparently purchased all the Bayview molding Sku#60474327941 mdse on July 5th. . I returned to the store on 7/6/26 since my worker needed one crucial piece to complete my flooring. Once I arrived , I noticed that the shelve was empty. I proceeded to approach a store employee in the area , hoping there would be a spare elsewhere. I brought w/me a piece of the item , to match. I showed the employee item I needed, and w/o hesitation the employee stated they didn't carry that item. I looked at him, and said you carry this item , ( as I purchased a few from this store yesterday. He laughed since he got caught in a lie & said he was joking , knowing he had no clue what he was talking about. I was flustered, as I walked them to the flooring dept aisle. He looked on the phone for inventory mdse, but no luck. I was told that two stores carried my item but w/ an inventory of (2) available. I called your Garden Grove store, to see if items were available still. I got transferred, and call got disconnected?. I got frustrated. I called customer service this time, and explained that the call dropped, and needed her to check for availability on the item in question. I was trying my best to be cordial, when she stated that item is only sold online. I was like " you're kidding me !., as she retracted and stated that color is only ordered via Online only. I was very very upset. I drove to the Garden grove store knowing, there were only 2 available based on the prior info . I took my chances and drove there regardless.. Chris from Flooring was in the area and I asked for assistance. He immediately walked me to the aisle and was able to search for mdse in question.He found that one crucial item needed to complete my flooring. I was so grateful for his help !!. I explained to Chris my experience, and He understood my frustration w/ Customer service female Rep whom gave me false information about ordering online , thus not carrying item onsite. Had to drive out of my personal jurisdiction to get an item that didn't appear to be in stock at any of the closer locations. This store is noticeably older than most HD stores, and the parking lot is congested. What makes up for it is the great customer service, which hasn't been great at the home depots that I usually go to. Props to the employees in Garden Grove. read more

That's completely highway robbery. And it looks like Home Depot only uses one third part company for water heaters. Im not really the type to write reviews like this. But I have to. When I went there I needed a piece of vinyl cut and first group employees I asked were chit chatting together, which is totally okay! But when I approached them to ask, they looked at me with the most unfriendly, disgusted, and annoyed look and I felt like I was in the wrong for asking. It was so bad, that my father pointed it out and he doesn't tend to notice things like that. I then asked another employee 5-10 minutes later when nobody was sent out. I asked someone else. Again no one came, so I went to the wood cutters and asked again to no avail. It took the manager! To ask me if something was wrong as I was frowning. She was extremely kind, and finally got me what I needed. But it took over 30 minutes of asking! Which is so crazy. And vastly different than my home location. Most of the employees seemed very bothered and not wanting to work there. Which is understandable, but a smile wouldn't hurt. I asked so many times, and was met with such bad looks that it unfortunately ruined the entire vibe of my day. I will never shop here again read more

I usually like going to Home Depot but today I notice the check out was differently set up. Well it's because it's ALL self check out now!!! Can you believe Home Depot went to this!!! So of course I couldn't check myself out because I had spray paint I was buying. I had to wait for an attendant then she had to punch in some codes and more codes, then scan the first can so that I could continue checking myself out! This is ridiculous!!!!!! Home Depot If your going to do ALL self check out then it should be ALL check out not, hold up wait, you can't check that out, and waste my time. The way it was before was much better with some self check out. Not only that there are many things that a non employee can't check out and forget if someone has a large item! I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding a recent experience at one of your stores. During my visit, I purchased a vacuum cleaner. However, at checkout, the cashier decided to cut open the box of the vacuum to check for stolen items, which left me feeling singled out and discriminated against. I found this action highly inappropriate and disrespectful, especially since I had paid for the item in full. Feeling uncomfortable with how I was treated, I immediately returned the opened vacuum and requested a new, sealed one, which I received. I have been a loyal Home Depot customer for many years, and I have never encountered such an unprofessional and unfair experience. Went against my better judgement and stopped at HD rather than waiting until tomorrow to go to Ace Hardware. This was probably the unfriendliest HD I've ever been to. The customer service guys were just standing in the walkway chatting, we had to interrupt them to ask for help in electrical, the gal that showed up to help us had no personality and had no idea what the heck we needed, then we think we figured out what we needed by checking with Google. We got what we needed then went to pay. And I guess we shouldn't have been surprised that the cashier had an absolute zero personality. Not a fan of this location! Wow! Superb customer service at this location. The management must have great leadership cuz the employees are so friendly and nice. I was shocked that the staffs here all came up and asked if I needed help. Other locations, they take off so fast when they see a shopper and you have to run a mini marathon to chase them down haha. Shoutout to Edgar for being so knowledgeable and awesome! I had a small list of things that I need and he hunt down everything on the list for me. He even compare products/brands and explain why I should pick one over the other. Without him, I would be so lost and overwhelmed. I would vote for Edgar to be employee of the month. He is that wonderful! There is an older asian gentleman with grayish hair, a really sweet smile and an upbeat attitude who also help me. He is super kind! Even the cashiers and manager are friendly and warm. These are the types of team members who will ensure repeat business and drive store traffic. I've only had one terrible experience here. The girl working was all annoyed I got there 15 minutes before they were closing and legit rushed me out. I walked in and she rudely said we close soon!! I I said I know I need a toilet! Pretty important IMO, not like I wanted to go out in the middle of the night to buy a toilet, but life happens and I needed to buy one 15 mins before they closed. When I was checking out same girl said hurry up we close soon!!! I'm like chill out girl! I know!! Other than this one experience I have had only great encounters with all the employees, from the people who work in paint, plants, wood area etc. everyone has always been extremely helpful and friendly!!! I thought I was alone on my own experience this past weekend with a young man in Tools Rental, but reading Rebecca L's review of 4/25/25, she was dead on about the employees (not just one but many) at this location, so it is not random but a trend that allow by top management down. Rather than renting a moving truck/van for a day or hours, which I usually go to U-Haul, I decided to try something new and gave my local Home Depot a shot. By the way, I like to support my local merchants, so I tried to stay away from Amazon and other online retailers whenever I could, but my experience at this Home Depot may change all that. Unlike U-Haul, Home Depot doesn't accept reservations, so I had to get up early and be the first at the door when the store opens at 7am on a Sunday. The young man in charge of this department, named "No", "Nau", or "Nohl" as he refused to spell his name for me, was a no-show until 7:15am when they called for him. We spent the next 25 mins going over my insurance, not once did he discuss the terms of rental, the rates nor did he ever disclose or ask if I needed the extra "Damage Protection". He left his post three times, never once did he tell me where he went, he simply left and came back, very odd. He finally came back with a key and said, "You're good to go", so I asked him where the van was. He replied, "It's in the front", with that I asked him for the receipt so I could verify the charges. He said, "You'll get it when you return the van", again very odd. I went out, didn't see a van nearby, so I asked an older employee where I could find this van, he said "I'm sorry, you have to go inside, I don't work in that department", I mean for real? I then turned to another employee who was using a leaf blower to clean the front of the store, he at least stopped and looked with me, then he told me as well to "go and talk to the people inside". I went back in and asked "No, Nohl, or Nau" where I can locate the van, he replied "It parked outside sir". I didn't dare to bother any of them anymore, so I walked the entire parking lot and noticed a van and a truck with the Home Depot logo on them, far in the corner, so that was how I found my rented van. This employee never walked outside with me to look at the condition of the vehicle, verified the gas or any of the routines a normal car rental company does. For my protection, I had to take photos of the vehicle inside and out before I left the lot. When I returned, the nightmare continued. The same young man took the key from me, never said a word, like how was the van, or anything remotely friendly. He took the key back, but he continued to help another customer, but I figured that customer was there first so I waited. But then another two guys came up to the register and he started to assist them. As I was going to say something, this employee simply left without a word to me. So I waited, and after about ten minutes, I finally had to ask a female employee there if she was checking me in, and she said no, and that he was. I went out to the van and spotted him. We walked back inside, and he gave me my receipt. I looked at it and sure enough, there was an extra charge for insurance. When I confronted him about it, he simply lied and said "I asked you and you said it was fine". Why would I do this, when we spent over 25 mins with my auto insurance papers in hand in the morning, and the Citicard I used prohibited me from buying their insurance? When I pointed out those two facts, he just stared at me, so I asked for his name. He replied "my name is NO". When I asked him to spell it, he said "You figure it out". I turned over to the female associate who works with him in this department and asked her if she knew, she had no response either and she gave me this "deer in headlights" look. The next morning, I called and spoke to Fernando, a manager I guess because he was more eloquent than these employees. He asked me for my name and said "We will take care of you next time when you're in the store". Like, how will they know me when I even come back to their store next time? All I wanted was a refund for the unauthorized charge; forget the apologies, I am done dealing with this crowd. Rebecca L was right about her review, and now you see mine, good luck. read more

I came to HD because I have guests coming, and I want to update some fixtures and appliances so they don't judge me. Some of you can relate. I wanted to commend, Jordan Anguiano, Joe Mandana in appliances and Sophia. They helped me so much, and quite frankly I was so surprised by the amazing customer service here. 1) I Wanted to get a few Bathroom fixtures and maybe two new appliances. 2) I had done some research and went to two other Home Depots and everything was sold out. Went to bathroom fixtures, and two employees happen to be there talking, greeted me, and asked if I need help. I couldn't locate the Kohler faucet and asked. In less than 5 minutes, Jordan Anguiano and Mary, helped me find it and were talking to me in such a friendly manner. Wow. 3) Then I went to Appliances, and Joe Mandana was there. Helped on getting quotes and pricing for a very long time, and I really appreciated the help being a new single gal in a new. city setting up my home. They will price match and go above and beyond to have your business. I wish all the home depots had people like Jordan, Joe and Sophia. I was so lucky that day. read more

I had a carpet install from them ( a regrettable experience), the measuring was wrong, the seams were wrong and they docked on extra fees for tracking seam, and tried to charge me an additional 540 to pop off vinyl flooring (which should have been in the quote in case. Save yourself and use a carpet company... not them... they send someone out that has no idea what's going for the measure then outsource. Go direct for carpets or flooring to someone wlE. read more

I've been to Home Depot maybe 10 times in the last few months. I'm fixing up and remodeling my home on my own, so this place has been my go-to for paint. Shout out to the paint staff for being really awesome. They're attentive, helpful, and efficient with mixing the paint quickly and having it ready to go for me to pick up on the pick-up counter. I really like the BEHR marquee paint. It truly is one coat! I painted 4 rooms in my house and it was a breeze with this paint. Really good quality compared to other brands I've used. read more
