I would give zero stars if I could. I have never been so insulted in my life. Just because I didn't completely understand the differences in what I needed to hook up a window air conditioner. How was I supposed to know that I needed extra foam sealer or why I would need it? That person Manny didn't have to yell at me like a maniac because I asked him to explain why I needed something that was supposedly in the box. He also didn't have to call me names. Yes I am a big girl but that's no reason for insults even if he was having a bad day. There used to be another guy there that used to help me get my mulch and flowers really nice but I haven't seen him since sometime in March maybe he's sick. Anyhow I hope he comes back but I left home depot today without my air conditioner and went to Lowes instead they were nice to me and it was easier. This was a poor experience for me. I live out of state and own a small rental in Hemet. We went through Home Depot thinking it was a reliable source for flooring, paint, wiring, etc. We paid for a company contracted with HD for a service that kept getting pushed back. They were not calling or emailing to keep me apprised of the status. When I called the store, the ridiculous circular voice mail greeting and directions made it nearly impossible to reach a human being at all, let alone connect with the correct department. Their voice mail hell is ultimately why I asked for a refund. A bid from a small local shop was a much better value, and no voice mail at all; they answer personally!!! I usually visit this Home Depot a lot for my business and end up spending thousands of dollars here. Today, I sent one of my guys to get some wood, and they made him wait for at least an hour. I had to show up myself and ask for the manager. When I spoke to an older gentleman, who I was told is the one driving the forklift, he said he didn't know where the manager was and that nobody had informed him about my order. On top of that, he didn't even have a spotter to help. Honestly, this review is for that old man who doesn't seem to appreciate having a job. If you're in a rush, don't ever come here or ask that guy for help. read more

This location is dirty, never appropriately staffed. Tried to return a brand new lawn mower that wont run but they do not have a tool to remove the oil or gas in it? They are home depot "well if we rented tools like the Murrieta store, we could help you!" So your gheto-dirty store can't help me because it's the ghetto, gotcha, Hemet Lowes from now on. I wish I could link this review to my last review of Lowe's in Hemet. I avoided Home Depot for years for both personal & political reasons. However after my last horrific experience with Lowe's , I had to swallow my principles & my pride. It is sad how few options we have anymore. That aside, the experience with Home Depot in this situation could not have been better. My item was in stock, & the woman who sold it to me was professional & pleasant. I regret not remembering her name. She looked African- American, but her last name was Hispanic. Home Depot offered to install & deliver in the following two days. When I explained that I needed a weekend delivery due to my job, they set me up on the NEXT Saturday. They called when they said they would. They showed up to install when they said they would. The installers were quick & clean, & they made sure that the unit worked before they left. They waited to make sure I was satisfied before leaving. This is in stark contrast to my experience with the local Lowe's. J cut up my Lowe's card & opened an account with Home Depot. I hope our future interactions are as pleasant. read more

This is the second time I have went out of my way drove multiple hours to meet their people to deliver my washer and dryer and fridge on both occasions they pull up do not call do not knock sit outside and wait and then they call their office and tell them that we never answer the door and leave. But they can't use the phone to call me to let me know that they're here.. they refused to return to deliver my items they keep pushing it back days after days after days after days, they have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with any company in history. He is well educated in his department and so much help. Adrian even went as far as checking the back for an item that appeared to be out of stock! Too difficult to order some items. The management on my town it's not too helpful. Used to be my favorite store. Not anymore. The store has improved and have better service but not as good as I personally needed. Ordered a front door installed and took over two years before Covid and never was done right. Ordered a mirrored closet door after Covid and have to return it twice. Ended hiring a private handyman for installation because the company the store recommended was terrible. I would not trust Home Depot and especially this store to order appliances. If you must order from them, I recommend protecting yourself by using a reputable credit card company like Discover. The Hemet store refused to reverse the charges for a refrigerator order I cancelled. The manager, Luis, lied to my face and said they had no record of my cancelation. He did not realize the front desk had already provided me a copy of the order cancellation. Fortunately, Discover card gave me a courtesy adjustment (based on this documentation) in the amount of my purchase price. I must stipulate it was not a refund since Home Depot never reversed the charges. read more

I would like to know why the Manager at the Home Depot on West Florida in Hemet, CA (who has been told many, many times) to not let people hang out in their parking lot soliciting to work. I mean not work in the store. These people are wanting to wash your windshield, ask if you have any work for them to do during the day so they can get paid. Why does this so-called manager let this happen? It is so annoying. You go to Home Depot to purchase your materials and you are constantly bomb barded by these people who could certainly get a REAL job if they wanted. Clearly they don't want to work an 8-hour shift every day. I am now going to write the CEO of Home Depot and complain because nothing has been done at all to correct this problem. We have enough of homeless people walking the streets and no one does anything about it. We need to make it known that this is not acceptable in the business parking lot of Home Depot. This review is solely dedicated to the assistant manager whose name is Luis. I had a big problem with my delivery from the pro desk. I ordered $4000 worth of Trex decking. I got very spotty information or none at all as to when it would be delivered. When I finally got a hold of Luis my nerves were calmed and everything went smoothly. The window I was originally given was 6 AM to 8 PM so I was expected to be on a 14 hour watch for my delivery. I got no information as to when they were coming, so when I called and got a hold of Luis, he gave me constant updates as to what was going on. Finally, he had to break the bad news and tell me that after 14 hours of waiting for my delivery, it was not going to come that day. He personally assured me that it would be delivered the next day and I would be given a narrow time window. The next day, Luis stayed on the job until my delivery arrived just the way he said it would with a narrow time window. In these post Covid times there are lots of problems with service and availability of material for sure. Patience could be tested all over the place as well. It's only an old-school, old-fashioned guy like Mr. Luis that made all of this palatable for me. I hope the company realizes how important this guy is and how much he really gives a damn and I mean really really really gives a damn about customers as human beings. I have never encountered in all my time on the planet a guy who cares as much about the people he's serving as Luis. Thank you Luis you saved a one star review for Home Depot and turned it into a five. I've been a customer for over 35 years so I would much rather give a five star review and that's solely due to you!! read more

I entered the store and noticed it was rather crowded but went ahead and gathered all the items that I wanted and went to the front to the registers--I had about 80 to 100 dollars worth of merchandise in my cart--as I got near the front of the store near the registers I noticed a line across the front of the store in front of the registers. I followed the line down the way and counted the number of people in line--there were 34 people in line--the line ran from the end of the store near the-lumber area-to the other end of the store at the outdoor area, I looked and there were two registers open and all the store was in that line for service---I asked an other customer if he knew what was going on and he just shook his head and sighed--I left my cart where it was and exited the store---they not only lost my sale but then had to pay an employ to restack the items in the cart ---poor service reflex's on the management and I am sure this was part of the problem read more

Called them and they said they had called but turned out to be the wrong phone number. Even though they called me to set the appointment. I came in looking to purchase a new refrigerator and Marina helped us. She was extremely helpful and insightful with what I was looking for. Both ladies Marina and Lucille in this dept are very knowledgeable with good customer service skills. I wish that the other employees in this store knew their products as well. For instance, I was looking for a small rake and was told by a gardening employee that they were inside. After walking around about 10 minutes looking we went back outside and it was less than 10 feet from where she was. The gentleman in plumbing was also quite knowledgeable. Iam not hating on homedepo at all. I love this place for my home improvements and other needs. I went intoday to get the roundup deal with the free sprayer. I dont know alot about the products sold. So i asked a few works that where super helpful, that tryed to help me the best they could but where new and didn't know much as well. Again not a big deal they tryed and helped me as best as they could. Once i found what i was looking for, round up and u get a free sprayer. They had sprayers stocked on the shelf that where the brand but not free ones. Witch I understand happends. No bid deal again. When I check out the cashiers where super helpful and told me that it wasn't the free one. Was totally cool with it. Asked her if she was able to call someone to get the one that comes with the deal. As she did. We waited for about 10 mints as she called for the loading area as well to help another customer that was paid for an had nobody to help load his products. As we stud to the side and waited as well with him. She called for help and a manager. Waited for about 5mints for the manager Linda. She finally showed up and not with a manager skills at all. I simply asked her if someone could grab the free sprayer for me causeni didn't know much about the deal from the ad my husband sent me for it. She gave me a look and told me no I don't have anyone to do that and if u want it this is where it's at. I was totally shocked. I had my daughter with me and remind my self to stay calm and told her well I don't shop here or work here would u be able to help me then since you are here. She then again told me no. And I replied nicely well I don't work here isn't that what you are here to help customers, build bizzness and be the face of the bizzness for your customers to return. She then told me ok well I'll show u but if there not thier the rest are in the front of the store but your on your own with that. I was so upset at this point. Again reminded my self to stay cool my daughter was with me and didn't need her mom being ugly. I've been here a few time since Prior to moving out here. This store is always busy. So far I've had good experiences. Today I came to get some paint for some improvement projects. I bought paint here today. They have a large selection of bear and other paint brand products. The lady who helped me in the paint department didn't catch her name but she was really nice. She explain to me what type of paint they have. She was super helpful and I was inn and out pretty fast. I'll definitely be coming back for more supplies for future Projects. read more
