I had a terrible experience at this Home Depot, and even now I can't believe it. This happened a little over a month ago when I needed to make a purchase and a return. I had a pack of screws that I realized were the wrong size. I had bought several other items, so I handed the screws to the employee. When I looked up, he had already opened the pack and started counting them. It was a two dollar pack of screws, and as someone who has been a Home Depot cardholder for more than seven years, I've never seen anything like that. I asked him was he counting the screws for return and he said yes. I told him this had never happened before and asked why he was doing it. He said it was because he could. Long story short, I ended up returning the screws and refusing to finish my purchase at his register, especially after he insisted that I slide an item over to him even though he could reach it himself. I went to another counter to complete my purchase. Overall, this was the worst experience I've ever had at Home Depot. All this over a two dollar pack of screws. Unbelievable. read more

Tried to cancel an order that never arrived when it was expected and I was not permitted to. The courier, who has deliverd to my address many times claimed, falsely, the address was incorrect. The good news is, I will call the bank to make sure the payment is reversed since I never recieved the merchandise and I will never have anything deliverd by that clownshow again. Going forward I will pick up the merchaindise in person and bring it home myself. HD cannot be trusted to deliver their own merchandise, nor use a reliable courier. Nor do they stand behind their own delivery dates, but instead leave their customers to the whims of an outsourcesd, incompetent delivery service too moronic to know how to read a map or street signs or large numbers on a mail box. There's always someone there to help if something is hard to find even if the help is backed up at times, has the plumbing and electrical items i'm looking for, its got everything and its busy at times, parking wasn't bad and self checkout works. Shopping in Houston, Texas... My niece and her roommate were looking for a small refrigerator for their dorm room and asked me to take them to Home Depot. I don't know why they chose this store, but I thought it would be good to take a look and compare products and prices. I liked the free parking, air conditioning, and large selection of goods. Beatrice at the door was the MOST helpful and friendliest employee. She greeted us warmly, so, I felt comfortable asking her where the small refrigerators were located. She knew right away - and we found the smallest refrigerator which was too big for the dorm requirements. It was the floor model anyway - without a box - so, we moved on... We decided to look at the hand trucks because... How will we transport this item and how will they move out of the dorm in the summer with all of their boxes? We asked a male worker where the hand trucks were located. Uhg. He directed us to an area where we couldn't find any hand trucks. We asked a female at customer service where the hand trucks were. She led us to an incorrect place, too. We asked another guy (with a Home Depot badge) where the hand trucks were... I don't think he understood our question because again, we were in the wrong aisle. Our final attempt was to ask Beatrice at the door. Of course, she knew exactly where the hand trucks were! We looked at our choices and decided not to get any because a customer was telling us that his daughters only used their hand trucks once. They got their friends to help them move out of their dorms. Hmmm... We trusted him because he's a dad and was giving us advice from experience! Haha! On our way out of the store, I made sure that Beatrice knew how thankful we were for her help! We were so frustrated and she saved the day! She gets Five Stars. The other employees get Three Stars. I'll round it out to Four Stars because of Beatrice! Home Depot... Terrible experience: 08/29/2025 - I went into Office Depot to purchase an interior door. The agent in that area (doors) was helpful and professional, pointed me in the direction of the doors. I picked out the style I wanted. The agent informed me that they would come out and measure before installations. I sat with the agent as she took down the address/contact number and credit card information. The agent informed me that installer would make contact on the date of when the installer would come to measure. This was one thing off my list that was managed. 09/03/2025 - I received a confirmation email with the date of 08/04/2025 (2:00pm -5:00pm) as the date and time for measurements. With the information we have your job site address (printed in bold). 09/04/2025 - I check with my tenant and was informed no one showed. 09/05/2025 (11:38am)- I sent a response by email to the contact person (Madilyn M.) in the confirmation email that (No one showed). 09/05/205 (5:02pm) - I received a call from representative of Home Depot (female) concerning the installations and why no one showed. According to the agent Home Depot does not install doors in apartments and he took pictures. I informed the agent this was a Privately owned Condos. The response from the agent "we do not install in Condos." I asked why I was not told this; the agent response, it takes time to make contact. The agent went on to say the installer does not install doors in apartments or Condos. I asked if there was another installer, the response was no. I asked if Home Depot has only one installer she said yes. I went on to say no one mentioned this to me at time of purchase and it is not on the website. That I took time to set this up for no one to show. I ask are you telling me Home Depot has never installed a door in a Condo/condominium. The agent did not answer. I asked did not they see the address. Her response we do not have time to check addresses. 08/06/205 - I received an email from Home Depot asking how was my recent return with Home Depot? First, it was not a return. Home Depot provided no service after indicating they would by accepting my payment and Home Depot confirmations. Summary: 08/29/2025 - The agent that took the order asked for the address and was given the unit number - the agent did not see that that was not a house. 09/03/2025 - The person that sent out the email confirming the appointment did not notice that there was a unit number attached to the address. The installer who I supposed drove to the location (took pictures? Of what and why?) did not see before he drove to the location that there was a unit number? The installer did not enter the unit, so I am not sure what pictures the agent is referring to. Again, I point out there is no information on the website stating Home Depot does not install doors in Condos. And furthermore, the staff need training as well as this went this far, and no one mentioned it to the customer are intervene to prevent this from getting to this level. No one had the decency to contact the customer to inform the customer Home Depot are not providing services. The customer had to reach out to Home Depot. And then there was response. Unacceptable customer service. I expect a refund as well (shorted on refund). read more

Luckily this visit we knew we wanted some plants and Halloween items, so those were up front and easy to find. Checkout is a bit confusing as it is mostly self-checkout lanes, but they did have a couple of employees around helping out, which was nice. read more

Stopped here to grab some gardening supplies after getting some plants from Houston Garden Center. I was able to easily find what I needed and bonus, it was in stock. One main complaint is that the cashier in the gardening center was on a FaceTime call while she was checking me out. Like, she would be talking to her friend and I would think she was say something to me. I honestly don't think Home Depot would appreciate that she is taking personal calls WHILE on the clock... I have to give this Home Depot credit for excellent customer service. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to hardware. I can distinguish between a Phillips head and an Allen head screw but that's about it. The screw aisle is intimidating... there is A LOT going on. I needed to replicate very specific screws and was lost. Found an employee stocking in the next aisle and asked him for help. I believe his name was Larry. He was extremely patient and eager to assist. I had three different screws I needed to find and he took the time to help me fulfill all those tasks. Really appreciated his attention and attitude. Thanks, Larry! Additionally, the cashier that assisted me was extremely nice. On top of that, when I entered the store, there was a friendly greeter welcoming me. All these encounters with helpful and kind employees really made for a pleasant experience. Will be sure to return to this location. read more

I went to the store twice to purchase a washer and dryer. Two deliver attempts . The first delivery involved me being sent an email telling me to make sure I had the correct outlet which I had. The delivery guy comes and tells me I have the wrong outlet and dryer. I go back to Home Depot and make the necessary changes in the order all for the salesperson to accidentally remove the stacking installation. The delivery people comes to install my washer and dryer this afternoon, and says, "Oh we didn't know it was stacked". This is the second week in a row that I'm up for over 24 hours (staying up after work) for staff incompetence. I'm one step away from becoming a Karen and getting a complete refund. read more

I recently bought a house and as a result, found myself doing daily runs to this store for a bit. The Galleria-ish Home Depot is a pretty mixed bag. On the positive, the self checkout is extremely efficient, and I had an employee in the parking lot volunteer to help me to load a way-too-big ladder into my not-too-big car. On the flip side, a lot of items I was looking for were sold out -- using the Home Depot website, it seemed like the North Loop Home Depot does a better job of keeping the shelves stocked. Additionally, I've been hit up for all kinds of home services while trying to shop. It'd be nice if they could relegate these asks to a booth at the entrance. Gets the job done, but build a Lowe's closer to Downtown and they'd have my business. read more

I came to this location yesterday to get replacement bulbs (S14 2W) for my outdoor string of lights. I could not find them on isle 1, so I asked two employees from different departments to request assistance on isle 1. I heard them make the announcement for customer support request both times. I waited 15 minutes, and no one showed up. Eventually, I just went on Amazon and ordered, while still waiting for someone to come help me IN THE STORE! Amazon just delivered my replacement bulbs. I needed 3 keys made as I'm going out of town and decided to come here. they have the self service key machines and another section that looks like it's self service. I'm trying to figure out what to do at this machine... after 3 minutes of standing there, reading the machine, the screen says 'ask an associate for help.' Now why is this not automatically there on the screen? Lord behold, Larry comes from around the corner and is assisting me!!! Thank you so much for not turning a blind eye and a cold shoulder when someone needs your assistance. He also helped me find gloves and made a suggestion for another pair that I could try and it made sense! My Air Conditioner stopped working. At 2:45pm, I contracted Home Depot on Fry Rd to send someone out to look at it. By 3:30pm, Home Depot's vendor ARS/Houston North contacted me and an appointment was made for 4-8Pm that night. By 7pm, ARS was there. their technician, Brian was the perfect repair guy. Personal, polite and professional, he explained each of his trouble shooting steps, he took photos of my system and explained the components and their condition. The problem was in the outside unit. He found a bad capacitor and replaced it. From arrival to Brian's departure was less than 75 minutes. The bill was far lower than I expected. Everything about this repair went off perfectly. I slept under a blanket that night thanks to Home Depot and ARS/Houston North. read more

I always come here. it is on the way to work yet next to home and petsmart. When i needed help lifting heavy stuffs, the HD employees always helped. Lost a star because last time a service dude is kind of flirtatiously and intentionally slow. My constructor made me return some of the stuffs (extras). I told him like three times what is the last four digit of my card and asked if he could refund the money back to my express (248$ and some cents), he went ahead and gave me store credit?!? in two different transactions, and checked my Driver license twice! When I complained that he did not do what i asked; his reply was " why dont you like me? You are hurting my feelings?!? I see you are the difficult type!?" Today I went in search of tile at my local Home Depot on Pin Oak /610 Loop.I came here because usually I find good customer service.It was raining pretty hard out so the store was not quite as busy as usual.There seemed to be many employees busily working as I walked through to the tile.After I had looked at the selection ( not stellar) I was unable to see anyone to help me . I noticed 2 employees talking close by and asked for help. one employee called over the intercom (which I heard) for someone to assist me. After 5 or more minutes I was still waiting , plenty of employees in other depts but none to help me. The same employee saw I was still waiting and may have sent out a 2nd request but after another 5minutes past , I could wait no longer. I returned the tile I was going to purchase to the shelf and left the store. one of the two Home Depot workers still involved in their conversation, called out to me 'sorry we couldn't help you.' I would only make one request to management. Please go through some sort of customer training with employees regarding how they approach female customers. I mean, I know, first I complain because I can't get any customer service then. Now, the service has picked up, but one fella made this joke to me that was stoops, that I had no choice to brush off without making a big deal.
