The worst customer service here at this store. Can't find anyone to help and the manager have no clue how to do there job

As a Journeyman Plumber in the State of Texas. I came into Home Depot looking for help in putting together an ice maker water line connecting to the existing cold water side. Your associate Mr. James went above and beyond the call of duty. He not only located the parts and explained in such detail very quickly on how this could be put together. This communication and action made my experience at Home Depot the most pleasant in my seven years as a plumber. Thank you Mr. James I hope somehow this gets to you. ZERO STAR REVIEW Since we can't give zero stars Clueless workers that need not to work there ever. No one asked me if I needed any assistance and on top of all of that. Only 1 out of 10 workers I asked knew what they were talking about. Avoid this location like the plague. Here are some examples: Example 1: Worker is sitting down at a desk with two other workers chit chatting and I asked them a question about where is this item. He directs me down the end of the store while the item was right behind him. That worker never got up off his lazy ass to assist. Example 2: Asked a worker walking with a cart (he doesn't bother to stop runs into a stack of buckets and it falls over) if he knew anything about garage doors. He passive aggressively responds with "yes I have a garage door" but doesn't answer my question what so ever. A customer had to help him with an answer. Example 3: THREE workers had their backs to me at the only open register and I proceed to wait and wonder if they will ever check me out so I can go on with my evening. Five mins later I say out loud to myself WTF is going on. All three workers hear me and look at me like a deer in the headlights. They say nothing and finally I'm able to check out. If management is reading this. Please retrain your staff or clean house. These examples happened to me in one visit. Your store was empty and y'all were over staffed and yet no one asked if I needed help? Very poor customer service. Final statement, I am never coming here again and will drive those extra miles to another location to avoid this place. read more

OMG! This has to be the worst store ever! I placed an order for some vinyl tile and installation and paid with my credit card. Called the store and spoke with several employees for a status update. EVERY single one was unprofessional, including the managers. I finally decided to cancel my order due to my horrible experience. I was told I have to come to the store to get cash. But I paid with a credit card. DO NOT shop at this store. Drive out of your way if you have to, but avoid this location at all cost. read more

I was trying to find certain electrical items & actually called the store requesting help on specific aisle. I called 4 times & no one showed up to aisle to assist. I finally went to the return desk for number 5 request for help. The one saving grace that gave one star to rank was a young lady who took time to look item on computer to get the location. She actually walked with me & found the item. I really appreciated this extra action which should have occurred after my second phone call & shorten my time of searching from an hour to 30 minutes or less. Customer service is major. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Beyond terrible customer service here. I stopped in, knowing exactly what I wanted. I had the Home Depot app open showing there was 5 of the item I was looking for. I stopped in the first department where I thought it would be. The interaction with the associate was terrible. She looked at me with a blank stare when I asked about the item and where I could find it. She told me they don't have anything like that, even after I showed they had it on hand. I left her, and went to another area where it could be. Trying to find an associate is like hunting for the holy grail. Next to impossible to find! I gave up and went to the register to see if they could help. Nope. Another very dismissive response on how I should ask someone outside. Frustrated, I went outside in hopes it could be there. Not an associate in sight. I went to the register and asked the guy there about the item. Again, blank stare. He said to go inside and look. At that time I was over it. If the inventory online says several available, clearly is should be in the store and it shouldn't be this difficult to locate. As much as I hate shopping at Walmart, I had to pop over there to get what I was looking for. Never again will I come to this location!! read more

Apparently, Home Depot doesn't know the meaning of Limited. The associate says Limited is used when they're out. There are many stores in my area and 3 appeared with limited supply. The others didn't appear because they are out of that item. They obviously don't update their website and tell the associates to say whatever they think may appease the customer. I'll wait on Lowe's. Fuck I accidentally just said I'll roll with it to a guy in a wheel chair at home depot... So it's Time for another yelp review... The gentleman "Henry" who greeted me at the door with a bright smile and open arms waved at me like I was a celebrity walking in. I then asked the greeter "sir, can you please guide me to the isle where the drier plugs are located?" He then replied "yes I would be delighted, follow me boss!" Not only was this man just saying hello at the door but he went above and beyond to take me to the isle in which the item was located and with great knowledge presented me with exploration questions that guided me to make the correct and proper decision on my purchase. I also wanted to give a shout out to the sweet old lady Shanice at the register who without her I would not have been able to find the barcode. I would have liked to buy her coffee because she was so caring and that of a motherly figure, which is the vibe that I had felt from her. Thank y'all for your great service! I took one star off for not having those oh so delicious hot dog stands out front. read more

This is the spot to buy reasonable items to fix pretty much anything. Of course I don't know how to fix anything but I like the thought if I could. I come here now every now and then for small things. Home Depot sells every home item you might need either sooner or later. Small things like light bulbs to lamps to refrigerators to sheds. You can't really go wrong at this store. The service is very cool and nice. People say hi most of the time and will ask you if you need any help. I'm not a window shopper but enjoy the walk around. I have bought several items that had to be delivered and they were on time. They have a part of the store for rentals. You actually can rent things such as carpet cleaners to anything bigger that you can think of. I enjoyed renting the carpet cleaner. Hours, day, or by the week are the options that to have to rent the items for. It does come in handy being able to rent instead of buying. TRUELY recommend this store- can't go wrong. read more

The locations entrance is a little confusing for people going to restaurants around it but otherwise this location is fairly accessible. Prices are as expected when you go to Home Depot, it's not like anything is really a killer bargain. Everything is decently priced and I don't think you will find a massive price difference without sacrificing quality at another place. The service is a little less than desirable. I went in looking for some lubricants for some machines that I was working with and asked a staff member and he didn't know what I was looking for and then said he would find call another staff member. I waited for the other staff member and didn't get anyone. So I went exploring for another person who finally pointed me in the right direction. I have had positive experiences here so I don't want to cast a totally negative light on things. One time I asked for help with acquiring trash can lids and the staff helped me get them for a major discount because they always have a bunch leftover at the end of the year. This is the closest location and the overall service and product selection is ok. The service is hit or miss but we've never had anyone be rude so that's a plus. The lines are never long. The garden herb section is skimpy. read more

We went to Home Depot in Lancaster this morning and there was an older retired gentleman who works there, I think his name was Brian. He was so sweet and helpful, he helped us pick out a trimmer/edger, we forgot to get a cart he went and got us one. He then heard us talking about getting mulch, he asked what color we need and we told him red. To our surprise, he said I got you, I'll load it up on the cart for ya and meet you out front. He even offered to load the stuff in our car for us. It was by far the best customer service experience we ever had at any home improvement or hardware store. Great job sir keep it up! read more

We ordered our items online and was told we could wait in the parking lot to pick them up and that it would easy and quick. I was on the phone for 30 minutes and finally someone came out and delivered our order incorrectly. We waited another 30 minutes to finally get our correct order. The other part of our order was cancelled on Home Depot's end and we are still trying to take of that and it's been a month. This Home Depot is in a convenient place for us but we will no longer shop here or online. It's been the worst. The only good thing I could say about it is that it has made this quarantine interesting. read more

I live in home town Lancaster, the customer service at this location "Lancaster" has been the worse I have ever experienced (time after time) and I keep going back because its close to the house. NOT anymore! Time after time it seems to get worse and worse. I like Home Depot however, I will stop going and spending thousands of dollars each year at this location. I'm driving down to Waxahachie to utilize there facility. There hasn't been a time that I haven't been there that someone has always stopped me and asking to assist with a smile. I just call this morning to the Waxahachie store looking for a power washer. They jumped threw hoops looking/locating one (in and out of their store) for me. CUSTOMER SERVICE should be the corner stone of every foundation of a business however, its also helps to have employees to understand this and applies it daily. People at the Lancaster store - they just don't care, they just don't get it. They are they for a paycheck and don't care about your needs/wants. 0 stars is probably a truer rating. This manager needs to be removed or retrained. I have called and complained about people ( all men) who use the loading area as their personal, private parking space and are in there for an extended period of time. It's a maze to get through and those with trailers will park blocking the door. I am a 60+ female that does a lot of projects and on this day had a load of 2 x 4's and the employee loader was a no show. I pushed the load through the maze and loaded it myself, as I usually do. Couldn't find an employee on the floor, but 2 were having a personal conversation blocking the check out lane. The cashiers are nice and try to help and I think they see how customers are frustrated. Went to get some hearing protection and did not know the isle so i approached 2 employees having a conversation. As i approached and asked the woman just looked at me confused. I asked again i need hearing protection she just looked confused. finally i said hearing protection do you know what that is she said yes. Jesus H. Christ. I'm standing at the counter to return a set of tiles that just didn't work out for my kitchen. I've been here for about 20 minutes and nobody has greeted me or even attempted to ask what I need. By the way, I'm standing right at the counter so yeah, there's that. If you can find another Home Depot in the area, please go there instead of wasting your life trying to deal with the incompetency here. Mind you, the item I'm returning was picked up from this same location and the same incompetency occurred when I picked the item. JUST AN UPDATE: Our door from Lowes is here and has been installed. BEAUTUFUL DOOR. HOME DEPOT YOU MISSED OUT ON OUR BUSINESS. Home depot said if we ordered from them, it would be AT LEAST 3 WEEKS to be installed but LOWE'S put in orfer, measured our door and installed all in 1 week. THANKS TO LOWE'S. Went to the Lancaster store a 1pm today with $2000 in my pocket to buy a new riding mower. Asked customer service to send someone out front to assist in the transaction. Waited 10 minutes and asked the clerk again for assistance. Clark said she had called the store manager and someone would help me soon. 20 minutes later I left, went to Sears and paid cash for a new mower. Okay, here's my testimony/recent experience. I wanted to get a pricing on a generator, I specifically asked the lady/cashier at the desk if I can speak to Someone who is a subject matter expert on the generators, her response was what's your question? So I presume that she was confident/knowledgeable that she can answer my general questions about the generator. So we walked over to the generators I asked her how many watts is this generator, she said 3000 I then asked her how many hours does the generator work? She did not know the answer? I then asked her if I speak to someone that knows, She was argumentative and I just walked off. And then requested to speak to a manager and the lady that I asked set the manager would not be as helpful also. Rhetorically speaking, what does that tell you? In summary, lack of leadership, professionalism, and apathy for the Home Depot name brand. I'm enroute to Lowe's, hopefully I can get a better customer service experience. read more

Waited in line for 20 minutes to buy paint, got to the front of the que and asked if the guys could advise on the best latex based paint for cabinets and he had no idea, said he was just covering and there was no one else in the whole of Home Depot who could help! How can a store this size have no one in store who knows a single thing about paint on a Saturday afternoon!! Now I have to go find the nearest lowes! I'm done coming to this Home Depot and the tool rental desk sealed that deal. I will drive 20 or 30 minutes out of my way to go to a better Home Depot than this one. Stupid me; I thought to call, before I left to pick up a big item, the tool rental desk and asked them if the truck was available for rent. The girl who answered the phone said yes and gave me all the stats. So, I drove there to pick up a big 50 gallon hot water heater and accessories. After purchasing everything, I went to the tool rental desk and told him that I would like to rent the truck. I was quickly told by someone there that it was scheduled for an oil change today and wasn't available to rent. When I told them that I was told it was available, they just shrugged their shoulders and looked at me stupidly. The guy even smirked a little when I told him that I was in a tiny little smart car and I wouldn't have even bought anything at this Home Depot if I would've known they didn't have one to rent. What an idiot I am to believe that my practice of planning somehow translates to this horrible Walmart version of a Home Depot. To make matters even worse, I had to fill out extra paperwork for them to hold it at customer service while I drove to a proper Home Depot in Waxahachie and rent one of their trucks.
