My husband reserved a box truck for the weekend. The experience was going seemingly well when I went to pick it up until I went to check out the truck for myself AFTER paying the deposit. I look at the tags and they expired 12/2024. I went back in and asked to speak to a manager. THE MANAGER did NOT even come out. Unprofessional already. How do you deal with a customer without talking to them directly. I bring the issue to the workers in the front and they call the manager who says "What do you want us to do" like you know yall truck tags was expired 5 MONTHS ago. I asked the employee could she call another store and see if they have one available with current tags. She called and put it on speaker and proceeded to ignore the man because she was TEXTING on her phone. After trying to get her attention, I asked could I speak to him directly. The employee at the other location was able to help. I drove there and had a wonderful experience. The guy even came outside WITH ME to check out the truck before giving me the keys. To start, delivery and the initial installation 12/5/25 was great. Then we had a problem. The dishwasher was not the standard distance to the sink so a plumber was required. When did the home depot start having third-party vendors for installation? To the point: First customer service; either someone didn't hear correctly or they fat-fingered and miskeyed my number, which has to be verified each time you call. I called approximately 8 times and did the text chat. Not sure how I can call for 2 weeks and noone notices the number is incorrect. The customer service rep says the plumber says the number is not in service. I say sir, that's not accurate. I'm calling from the number now, I've chatted from the number. I've called each time from this number. Eventually, the CS says the plumber says it's okay for you to contact him, would you like his number. Yep, give it to me. So I contact the plumber and sure enough Home Depot had supplied him with an incorrect phone number. So the plumber and I got that cleared up and I thought okay, problem solved. Well, the plumber scheduled me for 12/23/25 between 10a-2p. I texted the plumber a reminder on Monday 12/22/25 and he gave a thumbs up. I waited and the plumber never showed. I even texted again 12/23/25 "hey are you still coming or should I reschedule?" No response. So I said okay have a nice Christmas. I immediately called Home Depot and boy was I upset. I asked to speak to someone else, anyone else at this point, but the customer service person said he was my only option. SMH. I was so disappointed. So the CS person said someone would be out Friday. Well that wasn't good enough but I digressed. Friday I called and I was ready to request my refund but the lady on the other end was so polite and attentive. She called the vendor, and within minutes the plumber called me. Now, I'm talking with the plumber, and he says, "O, I didn't come" and I say no you didn't. So he says, my girl cooking breakfast give me about an hour and a half to go get my work truck and I'll be there. Then he says, "And call them folks and tell them I'm sorry." Huh? What?!!? Okay. Click! Let's just say I waited about 3 hours and the plumber finally shows up to complete the job. I told my husband, "he's all yours." I never saw the plumber. I was completely over the entire experience at this point and went to my room to watch television until he left. Home Depot, I am disappointed. I love my new appliances. Kitchen Aid has a happy customer but Home Depot you got work to do. GET YALL SOME DEPENDABLE FOLKS. Post covid has businesses settling for less than. When you look online and see that a store has 8 of an item you are looking for and when you get to the store. They actually have ZERO of that item and no one to help you...you spend some time telling the other customers in the lawn care aisle (that also aren't being helped) that you just bought a new mower and Lowe's has the lower price. I placed an order for a new air conditioner online and it wasn't working I hate that I had to return it but I tried to get it returned online but customer service support said it would be a in store purchase only. So I went to my local Home Depot to rent a truck or van to return the item but they refused to rent a truck to me so I had to rent a UHaul which was fine. So I headed back to my Stage road location in Memphis Tennessee and when I tell you the young white man really tried to assist us and I'm very thankful to him but there was 3 young black ladies that refused to help us even ignored us being rude skipped us by helping someone that was behind us and then when the young lady did start helping us she turned to another customer and assisted them and never returned to help us and made another young lady who also did not want to help us to come assist us. Lord. I am deleting my Home Depot account and I will find another location because unfair treatment for no reason isn't acceptable when you are only trying to return something. Every time I have been to this Home Depot, I have had great customer service. The first time I was looking to replace a complicated light fixture that had rare light bulbs; they went through all the options, and I ended up with a better solution by replacing it with a high quality LED light. They even walked me through each step. It was so easy. One time, i was deciding on which fertilizer to buy. As you know there are many options that you can get so confused on what to buy. I got a great crash course on types of grass, weeds, and insects that are in the area. I left with the perfect weed, feed products. My lawn came out great. We just dropped $1000+ on lawn equipment. They literally went with every single lawn mower, trimmer, and hedger option with my wife. How about that for customer service! read more

This location seems to be pretty good. As well as all other Home Depots across the country. I actually had two people help me with duct tape which is great. The self-checkouts fast uncluttered and easy. I found my item and also learned something new while looking for my item so overall you got to love Home Depot. I pointed at an entire row of washers and said I'll take one of these-what do you have in stock. The lady says "oh we don't have any of those". We asked if we could buy the display model and she says "no". We said bye. They should not have items out if you can't even buy the display model. I'm heading to Lowe's to see what is available. The return policy of this organization is very tough and non friendly towards paying customers that want to return items still in original unopened packages , I received a slip of paper from the customer service returns area after they scanned my items and was told I had to call a phone number on this paper, upon making that call I was met with multiple excuses of why Home Depot will not accept these items for returns. Home Depot has a return policy of 30 days , which in todays enviornment of covid 19 and other issues in the retail business, is very unfair and unworthy of my ever coming back to them for future purchases. I would ask the CEO of Home Depot what their problem is with accepting returns outside of the 30 day window and how this affects their view in customers eyes , when other big box store offer a return policy that is more understanding and customer oriented. I will never buy again from The Home Depot due to this experience with attempting to make a simple return on items that were unopened and unused .............. We purchased a washer and dryer on February 2nd. The items had to be ordered and when they were initially scheduled for delivery we had to delay the delivery by about 10 days because of construction on our house. When my wife called to reschedule the delivery she was told they would be delivered on March 5th. When the 5th came no phone call to say we will be delivering at x time. I called the number for delivery issues and was told oops our system didn't send the deliveries for this day to the delivery vendor. Then they said well, it will be nine more days before we can try to deliver again. The 14th (9 days later) rolls around and I get a call "our delivery truck has broken down we won't be delivering today please call to arrange another delivery date. I call the number and they said nine more days. No attempt to deliver before that date. I asked since there were two delays on your end is there any way you could deliver before the 23rd? The answer was no. I was going to have to wait the same amount of time as if I had gone into the store that day and purchased and in stock appliance. It was at this point they informed me that the delivery vehicle was having a lot of mechanical issues, but we can "promise" the 23rd. Again no attempt to deliver before that date. So, that made 18 days of delays because of their errors and abosolutely no chance of it being delivered before the 23rd. By this time I had lost confidence in their ability to deliver on time so I went to the store and cancelled the order. You would think since they had the appliances my money would have been refunded that day just like they took it from my account before having the merchandise at the time of purchase. You would be wrong! They only refunded the additional delivery items like hoses and dryer vent hose, and told me the additional $1000+ would be returned to my card in 5 to 7 days. WRONG! Nine days later I called the corporate number to see why my money wasn't refunded and after 45 minutes on the phone the best they can do is go back to the store and then, since we have called and arranged it you can get your money back. Long story short DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT. I went to Lowe's the day I canceled the order from this store. The Lowe's I went to didn't have the washer and dryer in stock, but found one near by that did. I went to that Lowe's and purchased the washer and dryer. They were delivered 24 hours later. Now you know if you want your items delivered, much less in a timely manner shop Lowe's not Home Depot. read more

Shopping at this location was like visiting Wal-Mart. Where are all your workers. I speculate business is slow so staffing is down but it won't pick up the rate they are going. Waited at the paint counter 20 minutes to find I couldn't be helped! There was only one lane to check out and that was in the Pro department. Home Depot is really going down hill in this area but this store was ridiculous. Considering how many security breaches they have had you'd think they would compensate somewhere. Not being sure about the product I wanted to purchase, I could not find a single employee to help me. They must have all called in sick that day. Case and point, I went to the Covington pike location saw a sign said Granite starting at $32, the starting is often deceptive, because as usual, they sold out or in this case, it is for a pre-cut length counter top. I told the sales person, that is clear deception, that sign made me spend 35-40 mins in the store, only to find out, alone with the nice lady and guy that help me that, it was ONLY for a pre-cut counter top! So not only I didn't know the employees didn't know either, they look several places in-store and in computer to find answer. That advertising is so deceptive, why don't you put for pre-cut counter top only! I want my $32 per sq foot granite counter top, since my time in store was unproductive. We went to this HomeDepot earlier today which is a Saturday around 5:00p.m. They had 1 check stand open and no self checks. I asked an employee why they had 1 check stand open on a Saturday and she replied "that's what we got". I asked where the manager was and she responded that he was outside in the parking lot somewhere. The store was fairly busy and approximately 8 people were waiting in line for the single check stand. Customer service will check you out, their are registers over at the loading area, self checkout and the registers in the middle of the front of the store. I've actually had the complete opposite experience of the previous reviewer. Just yesterday I was in this location to pick up a quick gallon of paint. I went to the paint counter with my son and he selected his color which took about five minutes. I noticed as we walked up to the paint area, that there wasn't anyone at the counter. This didn't bother me too much as I saw someone assisting another customer mid-way down the aisle. Needless to say, that worker left with us standing at the counter and at about 11 minutes we stopped a seperate worker as she walked by. She apologized and stated that she didn't know where the young lady was that works the counter but will radio her that someone was waiting. We waited an additional 5-7 minutes before walking out and heading to Walmart. Totally unacceptable and everytime I've been in this location, I've had a problem finding any assistance.. Won't be back plus the paint was cheaper at Walmart.. #Winning. read more
