They seem to have more option of most things, we had to some specific order but the process was very simple. My wife and I have been steady customers of the Orange City FL location for over a decade. Until yesterday when the employee loading bags of dirt into customers cars became rude, confrontational and down right aggressive over 3 half dead plants that were already in the trash. I applied to get approved for a military discount at Home Depot on line. After I had been verified, I found out I would need a smartphone to download an app, and scan a QR code. When I called HQ, they told me I just had to go into my local H D store and they would be HAPPY to resolve the issue. They could link my discount to my phone number. I went in, and customer service girl was totally clueless. She called mgr. He said I had to buy smartphone to shop in store and get a discount. NOT HAPPY FORMER CUSTOMER. A couple of important notes about this place: The in-store patio furniture goes on sale during the summer and is cheaper than advertised online. So if you're looking for a deal, come to the store. The online ordering and pickup is fast and easy. However, if you order from the garden center, they do not grab the items and set them aside for you. You have to go grab your own mulch and pebbles etc. , which is not convenient at all. You can rent their truck for $19.99 an hour! Great if you've purchased a large item and you need a truck to get it home. BUT buyer beware- bring your own tie down straps. They provide nothing. Military gets 10% off! Many items can be shipped to your home at no added cost. They have some free, fun workshops for kiddos during the summer. All in all, I shop here often and I appreciate the ability to know online if my store has something or not. read more

I spent 30 minutes trying to talk to someone on the phone to see if a low item took was in stock. Hung up on twice, and finally someone answered and said they had it and put one behind customer service for me to pick up as it was an hour drive for me and online ordering wouldn't go through. Got there and customer service didn't want to let me add it to my cart and go pick up other things I needed while I was there as if I would be stealing it. I came in to the store rather than purchasing online because I thought there would be an employee who was knowledgeable about the products and could answer some questions I had. I waited for about twenty minutes to speak with the only employee in the appliance section. It was not worth the wait. I was looking again on my way out and had another question I couldn't find an answer to through the LG website (I had done a lot of research in advance and was between two machines.), and went back to wait again. About five minutes in to wait number two another employee came up offering to help, Bobby. He seemed to know less about the machines than I did. I wanted to know if one model could be ordered with or without an agitator. Seemingly both were on the floor but the one with the without the agitator had no signage or price and was off on its own. I found the model number on the side of it and noticed that was one of the model numbers listed on the sign above the model with the agitator. That led me to believe the machine could be ordered either way. Bobby was very adamant that was not the case. When I asked why that model number appeared on the sign with the display model with the agitator, his response was to ask the people in Atlanta who make the signs. The entire encounter had an air of misogyny. I highly doubt he would have used the same words and tone with me if I was a man and not a woman with her hair in a ponytail who happens to look younger than I actually am (thanks, Mom!). Needless to say, I won't be back. I'd rather find a local appliance store and pay them more money for the same machines than be talked down to by someone who can't answer my basic questions. Ordered a Garage Door it took three months to get the garage door. They came out to install it and did not complete the job said they had to contact the manufacturer the door wasn't working right. So, I bought a grill last night at 3 AM (yes, I was not able to sleep) online. I've been waiting all day to be informed that my order is ready for pickup and around 3:15 PM, I call the store. The phone rang for 10 minutes and then someone picked up the receiver and hung up the phone. I left a previous 1 star review for Home Depot's curb side service. Now, almost a year later, I try them again with just in store pick up, not curbside, and they still suck. This company is just bloody awful, at least this branch is. There are only three of these grills left in stock now according to their website, so I'm gonna have to take off and force them to pull it for me when I get there. read more

I've always had great experiences at this Home Depot. The staff is what makes it great. From the time you walk in to the time you check out, all of their workers are extremely helpful without being annoying. Most other stores could take a cue from Home Depot's customer service training. Okay so I'm looking at a nice sliding door with the blinds between the glass. I asked for help because I couldn't figure out how to open blinds or raise them. On the left panel I got the blind to raise up but couldn't for the life of me figure out how to tilt the blind. So I look at the right panel. I get the blind to tilt but can't figure out how to raise the blind. After waiting 10 minutes for help the guy working Millwork shows up. I asked him how the blinds work. He plays with the handle on the glass saying you tilt this one way to raise and the other way to tilt the blind. I asked him to show me. After fumbling around with both panels he tells me see. On this panel it tilting the blind and on the other panel it's raising the blind. Umm no shit I already knew that. Show me how to raise and tilt on one panel. He looks at me starts to fumble with the lever then says...they are both broken, that's why the guy put it on display. I looked at him asking why in the world would you put a broken door on display. You do understand what your telling me? He says no, what? I tried to make it simple for him to understand. I said as a customer why in the world would I spend $700 to $800 for a door that will easily break leaving me with a huge problem after being installed. He looked at me dumbfounded. I said never mind thank you for your help. Now on the way out I asked for the Store Manager who was off but I did get to explain the situation to Samantha the Assistant Store Manager. This review is for Home Depot's "trust AC specialist" that HD contracts: RUN AWAY AS FAR AND FAST AS YOU CAN!! As I write this review, I am struggling with nice things to say. The sales rep was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I think that is it...after sales service from ARS has been nothing but promises to call back, techs not showing up, managers never returning calls, their customer service department arguing and hanging the phone up, repairs taking over 6 months to complete and do not think of talking to a manager after 4 pm. I honestly would recommend anyone to stay away from ARS. Dealing with the hot Florida summers would be more enjoyable than ARS. I still have issues with a brand-new AC unit, but because of the previous dealings with ARS, it would take another 6 months to fix the issue. For anyone looking for an AC, find another place or deal with the heat, your experience will be more pleasureable. read more

Worst customer service. I ordered $3000 worth of flooring and $2000 worth of granite which was to be installed. After paying for both and waiting for delivery I come to find out the flooring is back ordered and won't be in for another two months. However when I ordered it they assured me it was in stock. So I canceled that order. When I tried to call the vendors about installing the granite countertop no one answered the phone ever , even after I was trying for days, and it would not allow you to leave a message. I called Home Depot numerous times no one answers the phone there either. Made a trip down there where of course they pass the buck and the person you're supposed to talk to you is not there anyhow, no one ever gets back to me so I cancel both orders. What a waste of time. I used to drive out of my way to shop there. Now I will never shop at any Home Depot again. Dan, the asst Manager is an arrogant ass that does not give a damn about customers or customer service. This used to be a great friendly store. Now it just plan sucks, the staff have a screw you attitude, likely fostered by Dan, who will tell you in no uncertain terms he does not give a damn about your business. He does not check to see if the item you need is in the back or at another store, "If it's not under the shelf, we don't have it. The warehouse is closed because of Covid-19, you don't like it get out" So I did, and went to my local Lowes, that was much closer, I only went out of my way to go to Home Depot, Orange City, because in the past I had world Class Customer Service, boy are those days gone. Interestingly Lowes had exactly what I was looking for, and even made an announcement while I was there that they were restocking daily. I guess Lowes warehouse is still open. I have a major Kitchen overhaul I will be starting in a few days, at least $12000, I had planned to purchase the materials from Home Depot, but after Asst Manger Dan, made it clear he did not give a damn about my business, and basically told me to get out because I didn't like his attitude, that business and any future business I have will be going to Lowes or Ace Hardware. We got to the check out line, asked for a military discount-my husband presented his VA card only to be told they could not accept it because it didn't say service connected on it. I have been told "WELCOME TO FLORIDA" The worst customer service you can find and I believe it. We have been here close to 2 1/2 years now and it is still hard to believe. Last week a french door was to be delivered to us and it took 7 calls one day and 4 calls another day to get this order, to be delivered. THIS WAS THE SECOND ORDER for the same door because the first one came into Home Depot and was not checked and had a crack in the fiberglass 10 inches long, so it had to be reordered. In those 11 calls I was only able to talk to one assistant manager and he didn't follow through. Who is running the insane asylum the inmates? To add insult to injury this heavy door was delivered by ONE delivery man, Thank goodness I had friend help unload the cratered door.....It took three people. We went with HD because the salesman sold us on the idea that HD cared about its customers and wanted repeat customers and that the store stood behind its products. It has been the worse experience from having to track down delivery, to installer showing up with no mask and getting sick in my home. Non existent customer service. Doors and windows with scratches and they would like you to keep them. Home Depot takes your money up front for a reason. Management refuses to call you back. I Ordered on line went to pick up in the store got in line behind two guys at the light that said on line pickup I was waiting with another gentleman directly in front of me and two ahead of him that seemed to be together As we were waiting two Hispanic women came up behind me and looked like they were trying to get past us so I asked the guy in front of me if he was in line and he said yes the clerk who was also Hispanic was standing behind the pickup light and seemed to be waiting on the two men in front. The women who were trying to pass motioned to the clerk that they wanted to be waited on and the clerk motioned them to the front of the line while the rest of us were still waiting after a few mins a blond clerk came up and started laughing with the Hispanic clerk and the two women, finally after about a 10 min wait a gentleman came up to me and said are you waiting for a pick up and I said "YES seems other people are more important" he then instructed the blond clerk to take care of me She was very nice but did not have it all together I had to yell my name several times and even spelled it out for them at least 3 times. When I finally received my merchandise and voiced my opinion the blond clerk apologized said they were all new and did not know how to handle pickups!! IT seems to me that it does not take training to know that the next person in line is the one that gets served next, instead of friends I have been serving the public for almost 50 years and have a retail business of my own I would never put up with this sort of thing read more
