I came in to do an exchange. I waited in customer service for about 5 minutes. Vicki was the employee that helped me and was so very kind. I told her we waited longer then expected for our delivery and she went above and beyond by also refunding our shipping costs. Vicki and I had a lovely conversation while doing the exchange. Vicki took her time and didn't rush me at all even when I had questions and she had a line of customers. Ordered a new patio door to get installed and the lock on the handle wouldn't lock. I called and they told me to buy a broom handle to lock it! Spoke to the manager Kyle, who said everything would be fixed the next day. Now it's 3 days later and no word from anyone. The contractor is no help either. I purchased a washer and dryer. Dryer was dented and was told a replacement would come in a couple of days. After four scheduled visits and no one showing up, and MANY phone calls, I still have a dented dryer! Delivery does not show up or even have the decency to call.. AND they lied and said they made the delivery. They wanted to offer me a measly 25% discount for this nightmare. Will NEVER set foot in HD again..Customer service is worthless! read more

I ordered a dishwasher from them and 3 separate occasions, they brought the damaged original one they had delivered with a big dent in it. The second time they came, they had messed up the report and didn't realize they were supposed to install, which ensued an argument where the driver threatened to fight me in St.., which obviously didn't happen being disabled. I spoke with corporate, they assured me something was going to be done and I never heard another thing from them. Which I find completely unacceptable being that I was threatened and this person knew my address, and I made it clear that I wanted it documented what happened and his name and chase of repercussions, and still nothing doing. To say the least, we ended up cancelling the order since, after 3 times they still couldn't get it right and then we were informed that they no longer have that in stock. So we ordered from Lowes and had it within 2 days. We have spent thousands of dollars in cash and on our Home Depot card over the years and are still planning on having a privacy fence put in. But we'll see if that actually happens. read more

Home Depot's customer service certainly leaves a bit to be desired. Very hard to find someone for help when you need it. Interestingly if you've noticed they have a lot of cactus and succulents and they're very attractive because isn't it odd that they are all blooming at once. Certainly the blooms sell flowers more quickly. But if you purchase them and you notice when the flowers fall off they are fake! Look at the photos you can see a little bit of glue on the bottom of the flower bud. read more

The employee that I dealt with this evening, was incredibly rude, I personally will never spend one more penny with Home Depot. Not when there is a Lowe's and Menards both close by. I felt like he didn't care about wasting my time and was a complete jerk about it. This was second time something like this happened there. Should not even sell appliances. To be delivered on Thursday. No call from delivery people. Reached the delivery services call center. Delivery will be there by 8. Next morning I tried calling the store. Vickie tried to help-did find out it was changed to next Friday because they didn't have one of the appliances. So I go to the Home Depot for a refund And asked to talk to the general manager. Now I understand it's Christmas but your job is to defuse situations and be professional. I really want to thank the gentlemen working Aisle 50 today. They helped me cover and tape my window after it had been broken into at the local Hampton inn where We had been staying while my Dad was in the hospital. Instead of having to buy a box of trash bags and a roll of Duck tape that would have been expensive and unneeded for other than the window, they found a piece of plastic and some tape and then one of them came out and taped it himself. Do not buy major appliances from Home Depot! They use 3rd parties unlike Lowe's and Best Buy, i purchased a in the wall oven , range, and dishwasher that was going to be delivered on Saturday, after taking off work on Friday to disconnect the old appliances and move them I spent all day on Saturday waiting for appliances that never arrived and then receiving a email saying that it would be another full week before they ca deliver it. Now I have no working appliances, a kitchen full of everything out of the cabinets, an 82 year old and two children that will be eating takeout for the foreseeable future, don't make this mistake, Lowe's also has price matching read more

We ordered Ocala Oak flooring for our home and used Home Depot installers. Installers were 4 hours late the first day, they seemed rushed. They left without a walk through. They didn't level the floor in any areas, they made multiple multiple bad cuts that wouldn't be able to be covered by our thick baseboards, they left the stair nose so wobbling it popped up almost an inch, someone had tracked a purple glue on the floors I had to scrape up, instead of cutting the boards appropriately in the bathroom they sealed poorly placed boards with a shiny silicone (the floors are matte), they took a two inch gash out of doorway, even the silicone they lined the bathtub with was sloppy and irregular. We paid $10 a foot to scribe and seal our fireplace and they told us they don't do that. We called and complained and they came back. They fixed the most uneven part of the floor (the floor would visibly bend) and a handful of the bad cuts they made (using our extra flooring, outside of the 10% extra Home Depot told us to buy and they'd already used.) The stair nose is still wobbling and we still have some even parts, the door jams cuts are so wide that the door frame doesn't even cover them so we have about a quarter inch hole next to a couple door jams we aren't sure how to cover. No one from Home Depot ever called us back after we complained. They refunded us the money for the scribe and seal and sent us quarter round for it we got to put down ourself. The product is beautiful but the installers did a very lazy job and I would absolutely recommend to never use Home Depot installers unless you want floors that wobble, cuts that are too large to hide and a stair nose that pops up, you also get to sweep up all their debris and dirt on your brand new floors. Make sure you buy more than 10% extra too because they will use it to fix the poor cuts they made. UPDATE: They came for a third time and fixed our floor with new flooring they provided. After they were finished there was some unused flooring left over. After a week of it sitting in our garage we decided it was ours to keep so we took it to the store to return it. They confiscated it and said they would contact us about a return. Instead we were left a voicemail that sounded like we were accused of being thieves, the lady told us that was their product and we wouldn't be given a refund. Even if they finally fix their mistakes they'll let you do the heavy lifting of returning and then insult you. read more

This is my new local Home Depot and I am pretty much in love with it as much or more than the one in Florissant where I moved from. It has a different layout but I feel like they stock more Merchandise that the other HD I am used to. Things that were hard in the other store are laid out in a much more concise manner at this store. I also think that the people my be happier to help you. I had run in to some major attitudes before at HD. All together I will be spending the majority of my money here for home improvement items. read more

I was very impressed with this Home Depot. When we arrived and were looking for bathroom sinks, Brad quickly approached us and was very helpful. Unfortunately the sink we ended up wanting wasn't in store, but it wasn't the sink we initially came into the store thinking we were going to buy. We got a few other items we needed and then checked out. Renee helped us complete our purchase and she was very friendly and offered to get us assistance to help load our items into our car. Well, if you ever wondered if anyone was listening on the internet, I can tell you they certainly are. I had an issue with this particular Home Depot, and posted my woes on Yelp as a means to warn people about my situation. Home Depot corporate was listening and in the game of customer service chess, they made the next move without fail. I was contacted by a very professional corporate rep, and my issues were promptly squashed. I was given the exact information I needed and felt as it they were very concerned about my opinion and wanted to keep my business. I now have the replacement item, which they replaced under warranty, and I'm back in action. Another note, I was directed to the Chesterfield location for Ryobi extended factory warranty service (after the 90 days return policy) and they were able to get me taken care of ASAP. Give the Chesterfield or Florissant locations a call first before you head up and speak with the "Tool Repair/Rental" department. It will save a whole lot of heartache and unnecessary travel. If you want to receive quality customer service and your products on time, don't use Home Depot. My husband and I purchased fencing from the St. Charles store, #3009 on Mexico Road, August 25, 2020. The clerk assured us we would receive our fencing no later than September 3, 2020. We contracted with an installer, boarded our dogs and went to schedule the home deliver at 9:00 a.m. on September 3rd. Only to be told the vendor decided not to put our order on the truck because the truck was full. Now, how they can pick and choose which order to leave off is beyond me. The clerk asked the vendor (as we were standing at the counter) when it would be delivered and was told they didn't know what day the next week it would be delivered. The clerk hung up the phone with the vendor, I asked what did that mean and she said "I don't know." I asked to speak with the manager and Tom came over and says he can call them on next Tuesday to find out when it would be delivered. My immediate thought was...okay today is Thursday and it's 9 in the morning, you can't call this afternoon, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday to find out? (Have you ever looked at someone, that blank stare comes into your eyes and you think, I'm surrounded by idiots?) And then you just walk away!!! I came home and began trying to find a number for customer service to speak with someone other than Tom the "I am too busy to be bothered with you" manager. Home Depot's lack of quality customer service in the stores is indicative of their entire operation. You call the customer care line and they transfer you multiple times, only for you to end up on the phone with the manager at the store you want to complain about. They nonchalantly say the same thing as they say to anyone that wants to complain, "we're sorry you had to go through this, let us give you a gift card to Home Depot." Now, why would anyone want a gift card, because that means we have to come back and deal with clerks who don't know which isle carries what you are looking for, managers who don't care if there is an issue with a product and most definitely don't care if you have something important going on in your life and you can't WAIT AN ADDITIONAL 8-10 DAYS FOR YOUR PRODUCTS TO BE DELIVERED. Had they said it would be about 17 days I would have been okay and waited to hire the contractors and board my dogs...but NOOOOO! In the past 3 weeks Home Depot has had several different excuses, it was due to COVID-19 (everyone's go to response when something goes wrong today); the product was a special order and that caused the delay (it was 4 ft wood fencing that is sold in the store when it's in stock) nothing special about the order; the vendor mistakenly left it off the shipment (it wasn't a mistake, it was done purposely because the vendor stated this while we were at the store). Well, I hope you can tell from this review that I am not a happy customer. I finally got my fencing, the contractors have installed it, and our dogs are finally home safe and sound with us after what seems like forever to them and us. My very strong suggestion to anyone wanting great customer service in case you have an issue, and their products delivered on time, is to shop somewhere, anywhere else, other than the Home Depot because they suck and get an F in my book. read more

I order a over the range microwave May 14th. They said it would be delivered and installed June 2nd. I took off work and the installer showed up to install only to find the microwave was damaged. The installer was very apologetic yet when I called Home Depot they said Covid 19. My personal opinion is companies that really aren't interested in providing good customer service just say Covid 19 and then don't have to do anything for the customer. I was told it would be another month before they could get a microwave installed. Pretty positive I will never order another appliance from Home Depot, they wasted my time and money and don't back the products they sell!! read more

When setting up our pro account the manager was really abrupt. Came back to have some wood cut that someone else was pitching, and the cashier and manager told us they don't cut wood that wasn't purchased there. If it were a strict policy we would have appreciated if they had at least been empathetic or nice about it. They didn't see if there was any other way they could help us. Tried clearly following the manager for more help and he just walked away in front of us. We have a construction company and do a ton of business with them. Just don't get it. When I worked at Home Depot in the kitchen department we were all about keeping customers for life. We will just get our wood cut at Lowe's while we're ordering our 70 sheets of plywood for a roof build tomorrow. We'll be going to Lowe's from now on. read more

Everyone here is so helpful and goes above and beyond to make sure that we have a good experience. Griffin, Chase, and Barb, in particular have helped us on many occasions. The best Home Depot by a long shot. Not taking anything away from the others however I choose this one over others regardless of distance. Mainly because the countless workers there are so incredibly friendly & down to earth. They're happy to be there, Happy to help & a lot more educated about the products rather than just know the aisle of what you're looking for. and when they don't know the answer they will either find someone that does, go online to look it up or just tell you the truth instead of telling u false information. They're also willing to learn. I've had them call me & ask me questions to help other customers (I previously gave them permission for this). There are so many great employees there and I know a lot by name but not all which makes me feel bad for mentioning some but either way I have NO affiliation with any of these workers at this (or any) Home Depot prior to me ever shopping there or outside of my business there. I run a construction company & started working with Lowes first as they were literally under a Mile from my shop. They started off very nice but after going in there often & placing a lot of orders which you would think they would appreciate they instead got annoyed & chased me out with bad attitudes & failure to resolve issues they created. So I then drove a few extra miles to Home Depot. Which was by far worth it. Since about May or June (5 or 6 months) I have spent over $22,000 on my PRO account which isn't even including a lot that I've bought before that account was created. I have to say that the "PRO Counter customer service at this location is outstanding & really sets the bar high for other Home Depot's which I'm always curious to get a good look at when I'm in surrounding stores. So far nobody is yet to compare. No matter which PRO Assosciate you get whether it be Brian, Brandi, Caroline, Greg or Denver you won't be disappointed. They exceed all expectations. Even when they're not there I am usually greeted with the same smiling service & positive upbeat attitude. Now I don't know all the names and I feel bad for that. However I do remember the select few that seem to be working the register, customer service or door when I go there & they are McKenzie, Gavrielle and Kennady. I feel bad not mentioning others however the fact that I know that many says something right there. I hardly every write reviews as I'm incredibly busy & question if they'll even get read sometimes. But after the ongoing exceptional service from them with 0 issues & realizing that just going there sometimes can put me in a better mood simply because of such a positive atmosphere they create, they deserve any recognition they can get. As a business owner myself I would hire any & every one of these people I named off any day. I've learned It's next to impossible to find work ethics & motivation like these people display, and when I find it now I always make sure to go out of my way as the owner to make sure they have what they need to continue to stick around & keep the same positive energy in that store as they currently do. This is my companies 1st year of business & it is growing fast. However I have no plans on going anywhere else if I don't have to. I'm said it before and I'll say it again. I will pay more any day if it means better service or higher quality materials. So far I have no issues with the materials and as this review clearly explains; The Customer Service at this Home Depot in St. Charles MO is unmatched from not only Home Depot stores but ALL home improvement stores I have been to! GE Adora dishwasher was installed by Home Depot's subcontractors. Installation had three code violations but we did not discover the problems until the kitchen subfloor and finished basement were ruined by leaking water. Thousands $$ in damage. I was totally disappointed with the way my latest home improvement project was handled. I began the project of buying and having 4 doors installed on 8/30/17. I thought this was plenty of time to have everything done by Thanksgiving. When it came time to have them installed, I was amazed that not 1, not 2, but 3 out of 4 doors were wrong......2 were wrong size and 1 opened in the wrong direction. Since one of the original doors and frame had been removed, a temporary door had to be put up which didn't look right in the room, but of course something had to be put up. I know mistakes are made.....I understand that.....but during the whole process, not one person from Home Depot got in touch with me to apologize for the inconvenience, or to offer me some kind of compensation for the inconvenience back on my project. I went through Thanksgiving and Christmas with the wrong color door. Once again, not the end of the world, but what happened to customer service? Bottom line, the doors were finally installed 1/17/2018. But once again, there was a rip in the bottom trim of an outside door, so that part had to be reordered and it finally got replaced 2/13/18. Project is now finished. I never dreamed last Aug. 30th, that I would finally have everything done just a little over a week ago! Shortly after the wrong doors were returned, and I was waiting for the correct ones, I did get an email wanting my feedback, and I did let them know about the fiasco, but I never heard a word back from anyone. Crickets. My husband and I have spent a lot of money at Home Depot over the years. I have a couple more projects to do, but am considering other options. But I just feel when you spend over $2000, the customer service should be 5 stars. The people I dealt with at Home Depot were helpful, but when they talk about "complete project satisfaction", that is a dream at best, or a lie at worst. I was going to do new kitchen cabinets, backsplash, and microwave install. We had cabinets, crown molding, and backsplash all picked out and even purchased a new stove and microwave at Depot to install with everything else. Their contractor who HD pays, not me, came out to measure our kitchen for cabinets, backsplash, and provided to HD the measurements for their computer program to provide detail on furnishings. The HD form the contractor gave me was titled "Preliminary Installation Estimate". The estimate was detailed to provide cabinet installation labor of $1,343 and "custom work and molding" of $950. For a total of $2,293. This estimate did not include countertops. The form details the custom work and molding as being molding install, tile backsplash, alterations to cabinets, decorative panels, and countertop legs. When the installer came back out today he gave us a new estimate of $5,281.20 for the full install. The contractor said he did not take into account the backsplash, molding, countertop legs, decorative panels, which is exactly what the form says he was to estimate originally. The contractor said he was not aware of the back splash, which was a lie, and he even showed me the paperwork from HD detailing the backsplash. I asked him what the original estimate for $950 originally included, but he could not answer except to say it was just an estimate. The contractor included labor in the 2nd estimate for hauling away debris, laying down floor protection for our floors and for drilling holes in cabinets for plumbing and electrical. How was that knowledge not available to him for the first estimate? Total bait and switch. HD personnel said they were sorry, but they had no control over their contractor using their forms. HD always makes a big deal about helping Veterans and giving discounts to Veterans, well I am a disabled Veteran and I believe HD is full of it. read more
