I visited the Southlake store today. James, who was working in the paint department, went out of his way to help me. I had an old 5 gallon partially used container of paint. I had decided to dispose of it but was unable to open the container. James opened the container and then helped me find the product to use so that I could dispose of the old paint. He walked me over to the cashier so I could pay for the product, put the product in the container, mixed it, and now it is ready for disposal. My thanks to you for whomever hired James. Took quite a while to get some one to help me i the weed eater section. When they finally did come, Kirk was extremely helpful. We went over options, gas versus electric and then when I went to get the gas weed eater I had selected, he recommended a different brand that was almost the same price but commercial quality. I ended up buying the one he recommended and was grateful for his input. Kudos to employee Kirk and I felt appreciated as a customer. I would shop here again. read more

9/19/22: Overall 3.5 stars. To me, all Home Depots are the same. Came here to get some stuff for our house that Amazon wouldn't deliver in time. Shockingly, the prices were actually the same/less. Usually, they're way more expensive. We will probably be making several more trips here, so this'll be our go to location. Nothing really good or bad to report. The fact that I didn't pay more than Amazon for this set of purchases, gives them 3.5 stars with a round up to 4 stars. read more

This Home Depot refuses to honor advertised price in store. We just moved to Southlake and would like to buy a zero turn lawn mower. The Cub Cadet ZT1 42 mower shown in the photo is advertised for $3299, but when my wife went to buy it, she were told it is $3599, the $3299 price is for the electric model. Please note that the 3299 price tag is placed on the gas model, not on an electric model which has blue strips on the seats. When my wife asked the Home Depot to honor the price they advertised in store, they brought a manager out and refused her request. He would only offer a $50 "inconvenience discount". (please note that Every employee working at Home Depot can offer anyone up to $50 discount without a manager's approval). read more

I had three windows installed which took over two months to receive. On the day of the install they miss measured the depth of the one window so I had to pay extra for my contractor to remove the shutters completely from that window. All they told me was I had to have the doors removed total miss measure on there part. The install company left a mess, cigarettes broken glass and nails. They also left a cracked window which I'm still trying to get fixed. I have made several calls to several different numbers with no resolution. They also damaged the outside of my house with the install. I will never use them again and suggest that nobody else uses Home Depot for anything. read more

This review is for the paint department. I do like Home Depot; it's either Home Depot or Lowe's but I like Home Depot best. This trip to Home Depot was to buy paint to patch a wall in my office where a few holes were left by the cable company. The paint matched perfectly and all I did was take a piece of dry wall (you need about a 1 inch square) to the paint department and they place it in this machine that reads the color. It was easy. Once I got the paint home and slapped the paint on the wall, bam it's all done. You cannot even tell where the holes were and where I painted. For the most part we have used Home Depot paint products in all the rooms we have remodeled and on the exterior. I have used their paint match on numerous occasions so give it a try. read more

Went into the store to look at a red KitchenAid stove as we are remodeling a kitchen in a new house. This was a floor stock item that was price reduced, but it did have scratches on it. The young man was helpful, said they might take additional off at customer service. Also asked him if they would store it, he said they do this all the time for contractors. We would need it stored until August first, 6 weeks from now. He said they do all the time. Then we went to customer service. This is where the whole thing went down hill. 1. Would you take additional off due to the scratches? No. It's already priced in the scratch and dent area (not what the rep in appliances told us, said it was a display model) 2. Can you store it until the first part of August? No. We can only store it for 30 days. 3. Ok. So if we have it delivered to our storage unit, is there a fee? No. Ok so at least this was a "no" we expected. 4. So if we do purchase it today, can you extend the return time period from 30 days to 60 days? No. Really? I won't even be able to put it in our new home until August 1st. Not their problem, but really??? Do you hear a theme with this store? "No" I don't feel like we were asking for anything unreasonable at all. Please store it for 45 days instead of 30. Please allow us an additional 30 days to return it. Nope, Nope, Nope. I would wait two more weeks to buy it to avoid these requests, but it is a floor item that might be unavailable in 2-3 more weeks sadly. But that's ok. In the end, I will be purchasing the KitchenAid stove, and the matching $1500 vent hood (that I planned to wait until end of July to purchase....at Home Depot as well) We also planned to purchase a package deal of appliances with Home Depot in July. However....now I will be sending my business elsewhere to purchase our..... High End Stove High End Vent Hood High End Refrigerator Dishwasher Microwave Farm sink Faucets Pulls And no telling what else, but I assume it would have been a $20k spend. So....I'm writing this in the parking lot of Nebraska Furniture Mart. I'm sure they will be happy for this package deal business. Again. Home Depot's customer service fell off the mark on this one. Give us an additional 30 days...a few hundred dollars off. No? Well that's ok. Just a simple Yes would have changed this situation entirely. We've spent thousands of dollars at Home Deport over the years as a home owner, and also at my place of business. But No more. Lowe's or NFM also has our business for the rest of our days. Wow, this is a nice Home Depot! They even offer two floors of appliances! I had to return an item and then purchase something else. While waiting in line, a quite elderly female employee just looked lost, God love her. She kept trying to figure out the work phone and seemed to be getting frustrated. She then proceeded to make an overhead announcement in the store, going through the whole spiel. Unfortunately, she didn't push the correct button so no one could hear it. Other employees were standing around her but didn't say anything. Someone really needs to take her under his or her wing! The staff was friendly and we were able to locate what we needed. Gotta love the self check out lanes so you can breeze through quickly! One bad thing is their sales people located outside- constantly bugging you to purchase a new air conditioner and anything else they have to sell. Pesky people!! read more

I really like this home depot location. It has what I need, it's clean, and everyone's so nice and helpful. Ben, Tom, and Noah were great! They were above and beyond helpful, professional, and made it a really good experience. Yeah for most folks, home depot is where handy folks hide from their family obligations for an hour each weekend, but this one is pretty awesome. I had an unexpected exceptional experience with customer service at this location. I had a complex return which was caused by complications with an online order purchased with gift cards that had been canceled, for which I had visited multiple Home Depots and spent close to 5 hours trying to get the situation resolved. The two women who helped were exceptional. They didn't give up despite how complex it was, solved the problem, and made me feel like a human whose time was worth something. I wish I had asked for their names so I could personally recommend them to their management. Thank you! read more

Terrible Customer Service! I went to return a generator (in the opened box) that didn't work the day after I bought it. (After the Texas snowmageddon 2021). The Home Depot Corp return policy stated generators must be returned within 30 days of purchase. The manager on duty at the Customer Service Return Desk said No, we're no longer taking generators back as of two days ago. Said it was an email from Corporate. I read to her the Corp Return Policy from their website and she said it has changed. BS.....I took the generator back to my truck, drove to the next closest Home Depot & they gladly allowed me to return the generator. Southlake Home Depot lost my business, Lowe's is only 1/2 mile away. read more

Home Depot & Thomasville Cabinets - Charged for Ritz Carlton service while receiving motel 6 room service. That's right no service at motel 6 or here. Kitchen has been pulled apart since July 5th. Still waiting for cabinets to be fully installed. Thomasville cabinets doors Horrible & inconsistent finish on them. Never offered options on cabinets. No help from Home Depot or Thomasville on expediting the project. Horrible service & horrible Thomasville finish. Stay away from Home Depot & Thomasville kitchen cabinets. They promise everything, but in the end you pay for empty promises. We were promised a calls from regional managers from Home Depot & Thomasville Cabinets. No calls to date. So now we are going to have our story told to the BBB, Texas Attorney Generals office, HomeAdvisors, Google, Houzz, Angie's lost, Bing, Yahoo, Firefox, & news reporting agencies. Went in 3 times within 20 minutes to explain what customer care advised how they could help. Each were unwilling and just kept getting more associates to say no we can't do that. Went to the NRH location 5 min later my mission was complete. Thanks for the poor taste and waste of time and gas when all you had to do was scan an receipt and card. Garden department rocks! This Home Depot is interesting because they employ a lot of elderly men, so if you ask for help you may be in for a full 15 minute conversation rather than simple directions to where you need to go. I'm okay with that, though. I think Home Depot does a good job of hiring people who actually know and care about what they are selling and I'm not one to shoot down some extra knowledge where I can get it. The best thing about this location is that it never seems busy. I honestly can't remember having to wait in line here and when we've made major purchases, like wood flooring, we were given a lot of one on one attention without ever feeling rushed. read more

I receive a willingness to be helped and even walked to correct isles and talked through project needs. There is one lady who is always unhelpful in the garden section. Was told they were in one place, the associate did not take me there, I go to the area directed. The one associate in the area had no idea what the cover was or where to find. I could go on as the story continues with a number of times I was directed elsewhere in the store. Why couldn't an associate just go get one for me? I'm definitely a fan of Home Depot, and the other big box store with the blue and gray color scheme. Since they are also in close proximity to each other I always do a price comparison. Lately Home Depot has been having the lower prices. Sometimes it's just a few pennies, sometimes the difference is much more (for similar items, not the same brand). WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. On September 2nd, I purchased a LG washer and dryer from here. Delivery was scheduled for Saturday, September 8th. They contracted the delivery out and I would have to install myself. The delivery guys showed up only to tell me that they do not deliver to 2nd floor apartments. Mind you, I stated multiple times that I live in a 2nd floor apartment and it was listed on the order as well. They ended up leaving without delivering them. I was told by the store that I would get a call back that day with a delivery time for Sunday. No call back so I called in Sunday and was told I'd get a call back. I did get a call back, however, was told that they could not deliver them that day (after I was told they would) and that they would work around my schedule since this has been very inconvenient for me. I was then told that I would get them deliver Monday and would get a call Monday to schedule a time. Now, when they called me Monday afternoon, it was to tell me that they are using another contractor and that they would be calling me Tuesday or Wednesday to SCHEDULE the delivery. I tried calling the 800# customer service line to get some help with all this (due to the manager that called Monday got snitty with me), they called the store and transferred me to a store rep who told me that the manager would give me a call back and guess what? No. Call. Back. I called in today, yet again, and was given the number to their contractor to schedule my own delivery time only to be told it will not be until SATURDAY! This is beyond poor customer service. I still do not have my washer and dryer or even a set delivery time/date! read more

The worse experience that I have ever had with purchasing an appliance. First of all the salesman badgered me into buying an Appliance stop because he was willing to give me a discount I would have had and purchased it. FYI they do not deliver their own appliances they have a third-party deliver everything. The day of the delivery this company came out told us that they were unable to turn off the water and that we needed a plumber. Then they drove off with our merchandise. We were able to cut the water off without an issue but call out a plumber anyway to make sure there wasn't a problem with our water line. The plumber confirmed that there was nothing wrong with our water line or the valve to it, when I tried to contact the delivery driver he lied and said that it was broken and I told him it wasn't and he told me to contact Home Depot. After spending all day on the phone trying to get ahold of Home Depot's manager who was giving me the run-around the entire time I was told that they would get it taken care of and call me back. At 5 I decided to go to the store which is across town because no other Home Depot will help you with any purchases from another store, when I got there the manager that was supposed to be helping me had left without calling me or telling anyone about my situation. So not having a refrigerator and not having anyone even working on my problem I finally went to the head manager of the store and got it reimbursed. I turn right around and went to BestBuy and they were able to deliver whatever I needed with minimum time, and for less money. Save yourself the trouble just go to Best Buy. read more

There were 2 workers who were just standing there talking with each other while we were needing their help... one finally came to help reluctantly only after wrapping up his story about his weekend. Then we needed some lumber cut & after scouting the store for yet another employee to assist us (who then pawned us off on someone else) we were led to someone who seemed completely bothered that we even asked for help.
