It's only a ~30 minute walk from Camden, ~20 minutes from Upper Street, and right off of the ever popular Holloway Road. The bartenders are great and the people are nice. The Swimmer is the kind of place that one does not go to unless one knows it exists. This keeps it from being the touristy O'Neil's and Whetherspoon's-eqsue pubs that one finds in Central London. As for the food, I have never had a meal here, (I hear good things) but the bar keeps a nice stock of peanuts and crisps for purchase.

Renovated from being an old cinema, this Wetherspoons pub is huge. The décor is very old man and hence attracts old men and the odd uni bod from London Met down the road. Due to its size there are always seats available. There is a large selection of ales on draught and they are popular. With the price anywhere from £1.69 to £2.50 for a pint I can understand why. The grub is the usual Wetherspoons fare, good portion sizes, with a great variety of options. The downside for me is the complete lack of atmosphere. OAP's and draught bear aren't the dynamics for a hellraising evening. It is a shame because the Coronet could be a fantastic pub, as it has everything going for it. If you are having a night on the sauce, I suggest coming her first, just to make the most of the cheap booze, and then head off to somewhere livelier.

The place has an awesome glow to it, once inside it transports you to the other side of the world.
