Don't know how lunch measures up but breakfast was somewhat disapionting The rooms to the rear of the hotel are the best as the front suffers from road noise, especially the dawn tractor chorus! Prices are ok, but not really looking forward to another week here, so alright for a short stay but not really a home away from home.

The property and old country house are beautiful. Expect a charming country estate complete with creaky floor boards and warm cozy fires. The place oozes with history. Do yourself a favor and eat breakfast, and dinner if it's available. Peter has a fantastic seasoning hand, and his vision and passion is definitely reflected in his dishes. His attention to detail and quality was consistent during my family's long stay. This like most Norfolk properties is dog friendly. That being said I didn't have any problems even with being allergic to pups. My daughter loves walking around the property and chasing the pleasant chickens that supply the Red Lodge with fresh free range eggs!
