What I noticed immediately is the diversity of the congregation which I loved seeing. Oasis is not a mega church by any means but it does have a large congregation and a pastor who also just so happens to have a wonderful singing voice. Before bringing the Word he sung a beautiful song. He based his sermon from I Peter Chap. 2 vs 1-4 and this is one of those times when I felt like I was at the right church to hear exactly what I needed to hear at that moment. I did not find the parishioners or the ushers to be particularly friendly or welcoming to a first time visitor but I do think this is a wonderful church with a pastor who is serious about teaching the word of God.

I have been attending Life Church online for a while and decided to check out this local location…read moretoday. We arrived about 15 minutes early for the 10am service and were able to park pretty close to the door. Easy parking in their large lot. A couple golf carts were circling offering rides to the door if you'd like. Very polite parking attendants. We were welcomed by friendly people making quick small talk and opening doors for us. Inside smelled like a coffee shop. They had some seating areas and a long table with free refreshments (coffee, teas, water) & a few snacks. Kids areas and programs available from infants through young adults. Check in kiosks & Guest Services available. Comfortable chairs in the auditorium with small stage and some screens. Chairs had communion cups on them with cards to invite others to Church. The worship team was really good! Pastor Caleb did some speaking at the beginning & end of service. During service, you get the message on the screen from Pastor Craig. I was wondering how that would work out. It's a Different concept that may not appeal to all but I was actually glad because I really enjoy Pastor Craig - he's the main reason that I have continued with Life.Church online. I 100% recommend Life Church Online & their app. Services are available basically every 1.5 hours 24/7 so there's really no excuse to miss a weekly message - unless you don't have internet. I enjoyed attending service in person at this campus today. Everyone was very friendly and comfortable to be around. They want you to come as you are to worship and hear Gods word and connect with others.

I've attended this church many times, and my experience has been consistent. The service usually…read morefeels more like a concert for the first half, followed by a sermon that heavily emphasizes tithing. Week after week, the main focus seems to be on giving money rather than exploring the full depth of the Bible's teachings. Of all the virtues Scripture highlights--love, mercy, forgiveness, justice, humility, faith--this church tends to return again and again to financial generosity. Even verses that have nothing to do with money, such as "storing treasures in heaven," are reframed as calls to tithe. That kind of interpretation is misleading, one-dimensional, and self serving. I attend church to be spiritually challenged and encouraged in my walk with God, but I often leave feeling like the central message is simply "give more." A church should cultivate growth in faith, character, and community--not reduce discipleship to weekly fundraising. Until the teaching broadens to reflect the richness of the gospel, I can't recommend this church to those seeking balanced, Christ-centered instruction.

It's hard to find non-denominational Christian churches in urban areas now a days that don't teach the "wrong" messages. Pastor Tim was very nice and took some time to pray for us afterwards. His message was exactly what we needed to hear as we make our way through our new business venture. We met a few people our age that invited us to bible study groups and out to brunch. We love small churches where we can help out and watch them blossom and grow. Will definitely come back! A few weeks ago, "someone" forgot to set her alarm...ok ok, it was ME. I forgot. I looked up the next service times, and remembered there's another Gateway much closer to my home. And I'd be able to make it to service in time. So off I went. The church is much smaller in size than Southlake's, and the congregation is smaller. There is a more homey feel, and the people are super friendly. This was my 3rd week in attendance at NRH and I like it. I'll continue to find classes and events and meet new people. I was living out of my car and was in an accident that totaled the vehicle. I went to the church…read moreadministrator, Al, for help. He instructed one of the members of the church to take me to a unfamiliar part of Fort Worth that resembled "skid row". The member was told to buy me a cup of coffee and leave me at what ever 24 hour diner they could find. They were also instructed, not to bring me back to the church for any further assistance. I ended up limping, with bruises and scraps from the car accident to a park after being left at a drive thru burger joint that was not even open 24 hours. I slept on a picnic table that night. A complete stranger, a woman, who was of Middle Eastern descent and raised Muslim saved me. She brought me into her one bedroom studio apartment.... I almost took my life that night. It has opened my eyes to organization religion. Thank God, for his homeless son Jesus, who walked with me through that difficult time.
