First of all the service was phenomenal My wife and I split like we normally do and they split it into equal portions on separate dishes and even did it for the salad. My mom had fish and chips and the fish was super juicy and extra crispy on the outside. And everything that everybody got was absolutely delicious. If you come here you have to get the appetizer onion rings they're the biggest onion rings I've ever seen.

The food truck/vendor festival downtown was absolutely packed and the lines were so crazy we decided we'd rather sit down in a restaurant instead. When we walked in, they cleaned off a table and had us seated right away. We ordered the crab pretzel for an appetizer because it sounded unique and interesting. It was so rich, almost difficult to eat, so we won't be doing that again. We ordered our food and I ordered a cocktail. We actually watched the drink sit on the bar, all the ice melting... for at least 20 minutes before it was brought to our table. It was a watered down version of what could have been good. Our food took over an hour to arrive. We walked in around 1:30, and didn't leave until 2:50. The food arrived at 2:40. We only left because I had somewhere to be at 3, not because we were finished eating... my husband's burger and fries were lukewarm at best, as were my fries. My sandwich was only hot because they had forgotten to make it along with my husband's food, and someone called out for them to make one real quick. Which explains why my husband's food was no longer warm, because we watched it sit there while they made my food. I had time to take a couple bites of my sandwich before we had to try and flag down our waitress for the check and to-go boxes because I no longer had time to eat before my event. This was so, so disappointing and we were really surprised that nothing was comped from our bill. Even a check in from the manager would have been nice, just to acknowledge that this was not the norm? If it had been my first time in, I would never be back.

The highlight of the evening was General Manager Maya, who made us feel incredibly special. We can't wait to come back!

I got to visit last weekend and experience their lunch menu. I've been hearing good things about this place but the menu looked simple so I was hesitant. Well it's easy to say I was very wrong about being iffy when it comes to what we were served. When we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly host who put us at a window seat which was really nice. I love having a view with my meal. The space is also very reminiscent of fine dining with the white table cloths, candles, and flowers on the table. It's also worth saying they have several lunch specials aside from what's on their regular lunch menu. Our server was also a very friendly gentleman who gave great recs when we asked. My friend got the French onion dumplings and she LOVED them. I got the brussel sprouts and with the accompaniment of the goat cheese and dried cranberries, they were probably the best I've ever had. I almost ate all of the huge bowl. I got the chicken sandwich for my meal that was dipped in a hot honey like sauce and it was also great. Very juicy and the ranch I got on the side was a great addition. I also got the truffle fries and they were super yummy. Overall an excellent experience and I'm so excited to come back and try their dinner menu. A must if you're in the Kernersville area!

We had a couple spinach and artichoke dip to share, and our dinners ranged from chicken Parmesan, the seafood pasta, to beef tenderloin. All the food was very good, no complaints at all from my wife or any of my kids. For dessert we shared the lemon blueberry cake, the banana pudding cake, and brownie and ice cream. We passed them around and everybody loved them all. The server was very nice, and we had a great experience. This place was about 30 minutes from us, so I'm not sure if we'll be back, but I definitely recommend this to anyone celebrating a special occasion or that lives nearby.

I was able to set something up about a week in advance as that's all the time I had to know what our game schedules were, they had a simple to use online form and I got a call within minutes of submitting it and they easily accommodated us. They had an area that we could all take over without being in the way, staff worked through us like an assembly line and food came out in the order it was ordered with no problems. Everyone was very happy with what they got, and the menu selection was large enough that no one had any complaints about choices, and every one left happy.

Their bartenders are, to a person, superlative. Haley, Lexi, and Emily (still in-training, though…read moreshe has more-than-ample experience) were all professional and delightful this Boonerang weekend. If only the establishment would spring for cable during the World Cup, my experience of The Social as a "sports bar" would've been unparalleled compared to the other pretenders who decided the U.S. Open was the only "sport" worth airing. If I'd only come for wings and such, I'd've had no notes. But guys, your salads are culinarily (and decidedly) confused. My burrata was delivered atop a spiral of beefsteak wedges, nestled among wild greens, with zero seasoning, which is a hate crime when it comes to tomatoes; golden beets would've elevated it considerably, normally without much consideration... however. I'd thankfully chosen to add salmon, which was cooked to perfection, saving the dish. Haley suggested salt and pepper, which was a clutch move. Given the pleasant part of my previous experience, the salmon salad I ordered two nights later was even more discombobulated. Emily asked what kind of dressing I'd prefer, and I managed to avoid recoiling from the options provided: bleu cheese, ranch, thousand island... and then, finally, a cilantro-lime vinaigrette - the only suitable option. Instead of a deep plate, this was served essentially as a "bowl" that one might receive from delivery, only in a ceramic vessel. "Crispy" garbanzo beans (?!) were in one section of the plate, worse green olives than came with my martinis in another, four sad cucumber slices and pickled red onions in yet another, and in the saddest section, under-cooked yellow beets - half-run through a mandoline to make matchsticks, only still-connected at one end into slices to make Hell-deemed beet sporks. Again, all atop mixed greens, which are commonly available, even at Wal-Mart. I didn't deign to more than glance at my neighbors' plates, for fear I'd take even more offense, but the people making food at The Social are either under-staffed or inexperienced, as being unserious would likely wash out if anyone were to pay attention. Regardless, management is to blame for such disappointing experiences, and not their cooks, and certainly not their bartenders. Do better by Boone, and stop reinforcing the notion that standards are somehow lower in the High Country. Don't make me go to Macado's when I visit again next year.
