This restaurant was recommended to us by the local shop keeper. We had planned to eat in (Galloway Arms Hotel) but they have been taken over and now stop serving food at 2 :'(
Anyway!
We only wanted a quick snack to keep us going. This resteraunt is huge! It's right on the waterfront and there's an outdoor eating area& a bar too. There's also accommodation here too.
So ..the menu was pretty extensive ranging from all day breakfasts, traditional dishes , international meals &a blackboard with specials.
They also cater well for children .
We decided to have a snack, a bacon roll and sausage roll which were just busting with sausage&bacon!
We also had a portion of chips, we were going to have a portion each ,but the waitress warned us they were large (kind of her) so decided just to go for the one.And a large pot of tea.
It all came to £11 ,which we thought was good value.
The service was fast and waitress polite.
We came here low season and was quite quiet. You can imagine this place buzzing in the summer.
Next time we're down this way we'll definitely pop in for dinner. read more
