I stopped in between flights. I ate here a couple of years ago and was a little disappointed. Well, they've redeemed themselves. I had the Gorgonzola Chopped salad which came with bacon, pepperoncini, cherry tomatoes, red onions, lemon vinaigrette. It was delicious. I also ordered the Meatballs Al Forno which was two big meatballs served with tomato sauce, grated parmesan cheese, and grilled crostini. I was strongly recommended this dish! The service was also very good and professionally performed. The restaurant itself is kind of standard fare but does have an open kitchen concept which was nice. All and all it was a great experience and a great meal on a long travel day. They are located in concourse D and can be reached by either walking or taking the tram.

Gorgonzola chopped salad, no gorgonzola (goat cheese subbed)

With some time to kill in Terminal D of DFW airport, I was in the mood for a good salad, and I decided to give the Italian Kitchen a try. I'm glad I did. They had several salad options. I love a good chopped salad, and they had one - the Gorgonzola Chopped Salad. But I'm not a big gorgonzola fan. The waitress was wonderfully helpful and suggested subbing goat cheese instead. Brilliant. Lettuce, bacon, pepperoncini, red onions, cucumbers, radicchio, tomatoes, and dressing (and goat cheese). Incredibly fresh-tasting and crunchy, with a nice kick. Far beyond what I expected for airport food.

Zero personality. Stopped in to grab a premade salad to go. It was close to 10 so maybe they were getting ready to close but it was clear the employees didn't want to be bothered. No greeting. No acknowledgment. Nothing. Just close and be done.

I don't understand the bad reviews, though I'm sure things could have changed dramatically recently. We all know airport food is way overpriced, but I feel this might be the first and only time the price matched. Food was delish and the presentation was on point. Lastly, my server was the best kind - attentive, perceptive, and helpful. I think they all do this but he did check in about when my flight boards. He could sense I wasn't in a chatty mood so just checked in quickly when appropriate, but was still very friendly. I really felt he valued my time and experience. I wish I got his name!

5/27/25- Walking around the terminals and came upon the The Italian Kitchen-.. Not too hungry but they didn't sell pizza by the slice-.. Pizza has six slices -.. Went with a margarita pizza- Hope it's good- Okay it's good!.. I even ate the crust! I ate two.. Crispy crust with a nice tomato sauce.. not too heavy and not skimpy..

solid food and drinks! they have so many tables for group dining. no outlets but lots of table space to work from. near the airport restrooms. i would come back while i wait for my next flight!

Their version of a margarita pizza. $22. No way. Returned it

The weight staff was nice however the pizza was terrible. The first pizza had little cheese and it was so salty. So I changed to a margherita and the crust was literally 2mm thin. Pizza cooks need to be retrained.

We were seated quickly. The servers were dressed professionally and were polite. Nice decor. Our table was sticky and had crumbs on it. Comfortable seats. Quiet music. Unfortunately they give you straws with your ice water without asking first, which, looking around, few people use. We had a margherita pizza and added mushrooms. It was decent for airport food, but with a very dry and crispy crust.

Egg white omelette toast and what was supposed to be fruit but got subbed for ...potatoes? I wouldn't have ordered this

I recently had breakfast here at the DFW airport. Overall, it was a decent experience. I had a long layover so I had a bunch of time to kill and I wanted to sit down and enjoy breakfast. I ordered an egg white omelette, which is supposed to come with fruit and toast. However, it arrived with potatoes instead of the fruit. Since I had a long day ahead of me I wanted a lighter meal so I was disappointed that they ran out of fruit. I expressed this to the waiter and he and the manager went and found some fruit in the back which I greatly appreciated. I would definitely consider returning here for breakfast should I travel through DFW again.

When we travel out of Terminal D, this has been a stop for us. The hostesses will quickly seat you and the wait staff will make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy your food before your boarding time. Always comfortable seating at a table or hightop. Plenty of wonderful food options and of course cold beer. And if you need to charge a device or plug in your laptop, power is available. Make sure you stop by and give them a try and enjoy!

Well, I was waiting for my flight and I thought I would have something filling since I have a long day of flying. I had the Turkey Bolognese with whipped Ricotta cheese. Also a side Caesar salad. The food was as generic as the name of the restaurant. The Caesar dressing is not homemade and the croutons were probably out of a box. The turkey bolognese 'Meh' the pasta was terribly over cooked and there was a lot of liquid at the bottom of the bowl. For $19 there should have been fresh shaved Parmesan. Parmesan came in a ramekin but if you wanted more it came in a salt shaker. The highlight was the service. Domingo was very pleasant and handsome. It doesn't hurt to look at a good looking face when you're eating so so food. He gave great service with a smile.

This was a great find at DFW. The restaurant was nice. We sat at a high-top not far from the bar. The menu was streamlined, but with good options. I got the chicken club sandwich and my husband ordered the caprese sandwich. We both enjoyed our food. That said, the egg on my sandwich was hard and not over medium, but it still tasted good. And the chicken was incredibly thin, but again it all tasted great. The seasoning on the fries was on point! The service was good (and fast) and the prices were reasonable, for an airport. We will likely stop in again when we fly through DFW again.

Calm environment with friendly wait staff. The omelette consisted of cheese and bits of bacon and cheese. It's was warm when it got to my table. Texture was smooth with a bit of chew from the bacon bits. Taste had a light sear unlike an egg fu young. Overall, it was a nice start to a long flight.

Great bartender! The food and beverages were very good, but what truly made the difference was the incredible staff. I had the chance to get to know Chrissy, my server, and Jason, the manager. Four hours is a long time to sit in one place, especially in a busy airport like DFW, yet the team was consistently attentive despite the hectic environment. They checked in regularly and shared just enough of their own stories to make the time enjoyable. Never too much, always just right. I left feeling like I had received five-star service and made a couple of new friends. If you have the chance, stop in. You won't be disappointed.

Had the cheese "nuggets" to start which were tasty but truly nuggets / not sticks. The Asian beef bowl was flavorful and well balanced. Was a good boy and didn't drink anything other than water on a Monday afternoon Lots of variety in seating options - all with handy chargers - and 3 large TVs. Plus a small merch section if you really want to show some more love to a Mavs great. You could do a whole lot worse in an airport setting.
